The chocolate glazed donut is key. It was warm, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. This donut shop is no frills but has good salt-of-the-earth donuts.

Great Donut Place. Nice staff, great donuts and good location. The glazed sticks are really good, and the prices are pretty good. Great place to stop while driving or just to grab a bite to eat. Overall great place.

If a bakery opens at 5 am, you know it is a good one! Tony's Donut shop is unpretentious and serves delicious donuts, a true Portland gem.

Great little secret in Libbytown, Portland! There's a lot of great donut places in Portland but this is my favorite. It's the spot to get a classic donut - I love how fluffy their Bavarian cream donut is!

Our favorite donut shop never lets us down. When we venture into town, we often pick up a 1/2 dozen donuts and some eclairs for a treat. They bake the old fashioned donuts we had as kids and not the greasy lead sinkers that you often get at the chains. Unlike the latter's donuts they do not revisit you a few hours later.

Whenever our family 'From Away' comes back to visit, the first stop, after the baggage claim at the airport, is Tony's which is conveniently nearby. The grandchildren love to stand at the counter display and pick out their favorite donuts and pastries. It is the proverbial 'kid in the candy shop' scene. Usually a few donuts never make it back to the car.

The counter clerks are very patient as you pick out one of these and two of those and ask for granulated sugar on some and powdered sugar on others.

If you have never had them, give them a visit, but beware: you won't be satisfied with 'chain' donuts anymore. By the way: the donuts with the holes in the middle have had all the calories removed, so eat away and enjoy.

The reviews are mixed so we only bought a glazed donut and a cinnamon bun. We ate them in the car and decided to order 6 more glazed donuts. They have a light texture and not too much glaze. No oily after taste! We went around 8:30 on a Thursday in August. There were tons of donuts and muffins. The place is no frills, but it's clear they have one mission and we think they do it well. We would definitely go again.

I really don’t like donuts, dunkin is gross, the whole institution is foul. This place has, in all my 38 years, the only donut that I enjoyed thoroughly and would order again. The “old fashioned” seems to be the right move. Pastries in the window looked good. Plenty of old timers getting morning coffee. Would go again, I can’t believe it.

Great donut place with ample parking and friendly staff. Visited several times. My favorites were the eclair and cream horn.

First time stopping in to Tony's Donuts, and we thouroughly enjoyed! Tried the maple glazed and chocolate glazed, they were delicious, fluffy, straight-forward donuts. Not over-priced either. The fellow behind the counter was very friendly. There were tables and chairs, but we didn't stay to eat. The parking lot is small, not sure what it's like in the mornings, but no trouble finding parking at 3pm!

Cinnamon sugar, molasses, blueberry donuts all great. Raspberry puff pastry great. I spied this place from the road, what a find. Wish I didn’t live 400 miles from Tonys tho.

WOW! Strawberry bismark, apple turnover and bavarian donut….wow!! Delicious!!

First time to Tony's and it didn't disappoint. There was a decent selection and everything looked good. Pictured is an apple fritter. It was huge, about 7 inches in diameter. It was also filled with apple. The blueberry donut was filled with blueberries. Donuts are pretty pricey compared to Dunkin, but the quality is way better.

Was in town for something else, looked up donut shop on Google and Tony's popped up less than a mile away, I could tell they were going to be good as I walked in, its a no frills counter. Right to the racks from cooking.
Got a dozen to go, cake donuts were sooo good, soft on the inside a little crust on the outside. I think the people leaving bad reviews don't know what a real donut tastes like, probably only had a DD donut in there life.

The staff was friendly and accommodating! There are so many delicious treats it’s hard to choose. I love this place!
