I’m so glad we found this store. The shopkeeper is AMAZING and a wealth of knowledge! So many unique items, signed books, and first editions. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Bangor.

I came to this bookstore during Veteran’s Day Weekend. I tried calling before my visit, but there was no answer. Since we were already doing a self guided Stephen King tour in Bangor, we decided to stop by in case they would be open. When we got there, the door was locked. Fortunately, Gerald was working that day and decided to let us in! He was very friendly and kind. If you love all things Stephen King, I recommend checking it out!

My husband and I are fans and supporters of this shop!!! We found it in October 2021…but it was closed…I reached out in 2022 via email to Gerald who responded and was willing to meet my husband and I when we came back to Maine in 2022 EVEN THOUGH THE STORE REMAINED CLOSED!!! This year….2023…the STORE IS OPEN!!! We are over the moon excited for Gerald to be open for business again! We visited the store today! He has more merchandise available. If you are a Stephen King fan, it is a MUST see place!!!! You will not be disappointed!!! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!!!

Great bookstore for SK fans! Loved the props from the different movies. The owner was super nice and helpful with the books I was looking for. Also very knowledgeable about SK himself.

Not a lot of items in the shop, but all are of higher interest! If you buy something, Mr. Winters will also give you some piece of a story of your book, the adaptation movie, Derry-Bangor fact, etc. If you do not buy anything, you can also have a little chat, always interesting :)

We stopped during the SK TOUR. the entire family really enjoyed the store to purchase souvenirs. Friendly atmosphere. If you're looking for Stephen King books and memorabilia, this place has it all. Signed manuscripts, cool shirts, memorabilia, etc. Incredible store. I would like to live closer.

We discovered this place on the Stephen King Tour, and I was in love! A bookstore dedicated to Stephen King books, signed books, rare books, and memorabilia? I was in heaven....i picked up a few souvenirs, and spoke to Gerald who is very kind and helpful. I was even allowed to have my picture taken with the actual axe from The Shining movie! The only problem I had was that when the tour was over and we headed back to the store to purchase more things, it was closed for a few hours for lunch. But the store has a website, and another trip to Bangor, Maine isn't out of the question since it was so beautiful

The owner was very kind. I stopped in while visiting the area just to have a look around and ended up coming at an inconvenient time, but even so he never rushed me or seemed irritated. I bought a normal copy of It since I don't actually own a physical copy and he was nice enough to write a note in it for me when asked (I'm doing a Stephen King book w/ a note for each state I visit on my road trip) :) I appreciated him playing along with me and I wish his bookstore all the best! If you're a King fan (even if you don't have the money to drop on a signed copy or 1st edition) you should stop in. It's really cool to see all the different artwork and the rarer king novellas/shorts by themselves. And the pins/shirts/keychains are all cool and affordable :)

This is what we came to Bangor for! It feels part rare book store, part Stephen King museum. Signed paraphernalia, first edition books, all sorts of shirts, memorabilia, and other unique items. Staff is super friendly too and you can tell that they have a passion for everything Stephen King.

Gerald is really nice. His knowledge on the works of Stephen King is abundant, and he has a lot of rare items in his book store including signed first editions of SK comics and books. A definite stop here in Bangor if you are a King aficionado. He also has an online store.

If you're visiting Bangor for Stephen King sights (you know who you are!), you owe it to yourself to stop in here. Book lovers and collectors of all walks are welcome here, and Gerald will be more than happy to chat with you about all of the rare and one of a kind items he's collected over the years.
There are many unique memorabilia items around the shop, including props and posters. Be sure to check it out, even if you're not spending the money on a signed first edition (you can always just grab a Derry, ME keychain).
