There is no tour and there is no access to the house. This is simply a fun place to come and visit and say you saw it. The grounds are large and in a neighborhood with other equally large homes. You can definitely see the inspiration this area offers.

A great piece of mixed architecture styles represented at the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation house. It's wonderfully accentuated with a "creepy" tree carving and appropriately designed wrought iron fence. Don't forget to take your picture in front of the unique main gate.

House of one of my favorite Horror novelist. Victorian mansion, spiders, bat-winged creatures, and a three-headed reptile all decorate the black wrought-iron. It’s in a very quiet neighborhood so you can just park right in front of it.

I didnt get to go inside and I didn’t see any tour options it was still so cool to see the front of the house . The house itself is so stunning . The gate is spooky and mesmerizing. The sculptures on the sides are the house are seriously amazing . I still feel like this place is must while visiting the area . We decided to take the small drive over while visiting Acadia National Park . I still think it was worth doing as Stephen King fan . Was also nice while viewing the outside of the house to talk with fellow Fans . There was a small shop like 30ish minutes away that did offer some Stephen king merchandise. House was spookily from what I did see on the outside . You can really tell someone definitely maintains the outside of the house . It’s seriously beautiful.

A great stop to break up a drive. Gorgeous house and fencing. Gives such a spooky vibe. Houses on this block are beautiful- rest of the town is a bit sketch

Sure made my wife happy! The house is beautiful to say the least. The beautiful brick color and cream trim! The woods carving outside was spectacular. Many tourists stopping by for pictures. No entrance but easy to view from the sidewalk with plenty of room for street parking for us gawkers!

If you are in the area you should go see this house. The other houses around it are neat as well. House built in the late 1800s are so neat. Plus, this is on a regular street, so you just park along the street. Take it all in, so walk along the sidewalk and take your time. We were there July 3rd, and it was overcast a bit. Mosquitoes were there, and all trees were in bloom, and so were the wild strawberries on the left side of the fence line by the green frog.

It was my first trip to Bangor, and I just had to visit Stephen's house. It was so cool. While I was there, Stephen himself stopped by and was doing a few errands he needed to do around the house. I can't wait to go back.

Fun spot to stop if you're a fan of Stephen King, along with a few other filming locations in the area. House is beautiful to see and, of course, a quick photo-op.

It's worth the stop. The house is really nice and the tree carving is even cooler. The detail in the iron fence was amusing. If you're going up to Acadia, it's not a long detour at all.

A nice stop. The fence around the house is different and interesting to see the details. The house is beautiful to see. Make sure to check out the carved tree in the yard as well. The tree lined road of the neighborhood and the other homes on the street are pretty as well. If you are a Stephen King fan, this is a must stop and see

We just happened to come across Stephen Kings house when we came to meet up with friends for breakfast.
His house is very different to say the least. It’s not very crowded and if you’re a fan you should make this a stop on your list.

We were in the area and had to see the King house!! I'm told he doesn't live here anymore, but it was fun checking it out. The wood carving in the front yard was worth the trip along with the front gate!!

Lots of fun to see this place. The wooden sculpture carved from a tree that recently died is pretty amazing. Check it out. Now, a writer's retreat.

Beautiful home and a lovely street full of gorgeous properties to admire. I loved how respectful everyone was that was stopping to visit. Everyone in and out was quiet, attentive to traffic, and mindful that it's a real neighborhood.

Such a cool experience! We didn't get to tour the house, but we made sure to stop and get pictures. If you're curious, there is more than enough space to park and area to take pictures in front without having to tour. We had to see the legend's house!
Top 5 most beautiful home I've seen across the country!
