The place is small and feels very cozy. It's almost like eating dinner with a large family. The staff members were super friendly and checked in on you enough but not too much.

The place had a lot of nice rustic decorations that brought back some nice memories.

The menu has a variety of things to choose from. We chose the brisket and fish dinners. The brisket was sliced thin and has a nice smoky flavor to it. The meat was tender and had some fat still holding on for flavor. The choice of 4 different sauces just added to the flavor. The tater tots were cooked perfectly with them being crispy on the outside but not dried in the middle. The fish was flavorful and had a nice coating on them. The French fries were perfect as well.

It’s a small place filled with flavor and kindness. Definitely will stop in again, when able.

I stopped by here for a business lunch after a recommendation and they did it disappoint. I was seated promptly at a flat top and ordered a cup of cheddar ale soup that was excellent. I also had the turkey bacon avocado sandwich with kettle chips that was very good. 7 craft beers available from local breweries. Daily specials.

Flat top and booth seating. Friendly efficient service. Clean restroom. WiFi password provided. I would definitely recommend and return.

Our service was absolutely so good and the fish was amazing. We got the wonton appetizer and that was also really good. Bloody Mary was good too. Over all good spot to grab a bite!

Ordered the turkey bacon avocado with sweet potato fries . Omg the sandwich was so delicious and the sauce with the fries 🥰🥰🥰🥰 Debra was my server and so pleasant will be back

Delicious! We tried the soup trio, a caesar salad, pretzels, cod fish and chips, perch fish and chips, coleslaw, and the very best homemade cheesecake! This particular cheesecake is not always there but it was the best cheesecake we've ever had. The server, Liz, was the best part. Very sweet and kind. Overall great food, excellent service. We left happy and full and with left overs. The white chicken chili is very good, it hit the spot on a chilly day. We will be back when we come back up this way.

We stopped by here on our way to somewhere else. The lunch specials were all different Ruben sandwiches. We each got one and they were excellent. Very meaty. The fries were perfectly done. Nothing was greasy or soggy. Our waitress, Shantal, great. Friendly and efficient. The water and coffee tasted great, too! Everything was spotlessly clean, including the bathrooms.

Shout out to Gina! Excellent service! Perch was amazing. Just crispy and delicious. Ribs were very good. Needed a little more sauce. Cole slaw was Excellent, great seasonings!

This place is AMAZING! Great menu with lots of unique twists on traditional dishes, like a Brick of Fries and Dirty Tots. Food and sauces were fresh, tasty, and tasted home-made (no canned cheese sauce). The service was great and the place was sparkling clean. Excellent craft beer and local wine selection. We will make it a point to stop here again whenever we are in the area!

This is a must visit. The pulled pork and sauces ere some of the best I've ever had. I'm a coleslaw connoisseur and can I say this is by the "BEST" I've tried. I should have ordered to bring some home. My husband got to smothered brisket, that did not dissapoint as well. Would visit again hands down! There sodas on tap are pretty good too, I'm not normally one for the "homemade" sodas. But I would drink again.

It was a very busy Saturday evening and almost didn’t go in due to the parking lot being packed. We were greeted right when we walked in and sat. The staff worked together amazingly and the hostess was very nice. The food was great and a good drink menu. It’s a great place for dining with family or a date night.

This place is pretty good. We got a wonton wrap mozzarella stick for starters. Then the bbq platter and the mac and cheese.
Presentation is done well. Food has flavor and is hot on arrival.
For being off the beaten path this was a great find.
Price for meal with drinks was $60, not bad at all during these inflation times.

It was a great stop. Server was nice and friendly. Hostess was fast and kept our table clear. Food was good. Building was clean and bathrooms are sweet looking. I had a burger and it was tasty. Also had spring roll and some nachos. All good. My brother in law had the Mac and cheese with brisket which was epic.

Great place to eat! Plenty of parking, handicap friendly, bathrooms are awesome, staff is knowledgeable and professional. Shawn was my server today, I ran her through the usual food Allergy questions… the answers are no GF options, fryer oil is soy. I had a beautiful burger with no bun and a bag of kettle chips from Traverse City. My meal was quite good. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town again🤩

Lovely lunch, in a cute place! Interesting fishing decor. Bloody Marys are good (horseradish based) the trio of soups: Beer cheese, Brisket-n- Barley and White Chicken chili were all outstanding. The Brisket and Barley soup is excellent, they captured the smokey flavor with the Brisket. Served with a half a sandwich, the turkey bacon avocado on sour dough, yum! Penne Mac n cheese was delicious & is served with a Caesar Salad. The Michigan Salad is refreshing with apples, dried cherries and candy pecans served with raspberry vinaigrette.

What a great meal, and our waitress was very attentive. Also, they shared information about a salad we especially liked!

Great food. Both the main dishes and the dessert were very good. Smoke meat was very moist and flavorful. Will go again

1st time. Very satisfied and impressed with our orders. Wife said worth the 2hr drive and will be back next time we make the trip to Castle Farm.

We were here Saturday about 11:30 to have lunch with a group of family. 12 of us. The waitress, Jaline, never blinked an eye, put tables together, and started about taking care of us. She was very efficient, all about business, but still very friendly and made us feel welcome. We made sure her tip reflected that. All 4 generations thought the food was very good which is saying something!

Delicious food! We got the smoked pork with mac&cheese; and meatloaf. Generous portions and great flavor.
