The Blue Pelican Inn & Restaurant & Side Door

We travel a lot and enjoy good food. This place was a hidden gem. Great food. Good service..menu had great options. This place is a must. Better than other local spots in Bellaire.

Didn't stay at the Inn, but dined at the restaurant. Food was excellent!! Fair prices & the service was good! We will be back when we are in the area!

We came here for dinner and had the fish fry and the steak. Both were delicious! Friendly staff. Did not stay at the Inn.

Dined at the Blue Pelican. The food was excellent. It was nice to have live music on the patio. Service was excellent. They worked well together. We really enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere. We will be back.

First off, you are central to many attractions, Torch Lake being one of them. Second, for what you pay, this is a steal. Do you have a TV in your room and are they bright and airy? No. Past that, you have a restaurant downstairs that is fantastic, a super easy check-in process, wi-fi, a common room to use, and you are a literal 3 minute walk from downtown. On top of that, the bathrooms for these rooms are enormous. Within downtown is a dispensary, bar, and market among other businesses and there is such a great hometown feel and the locals are very welcoming and in a very genuine way. You will love this place!

Having dinner at the Blue Pelican is a must on our yearly vacation to Central Lake, over the 4th. We’ve never had a bad meal! Definitely check them out when in the area.

Cute, comfy, and affordable, exactly what we needed! The building has a ton of history and an extremely friendly staff. We had a fabulous time and hope to go back. There are no televisions in the room, nor is there an elevator. Just a heads up in case either of those things is relevant to you as you make your selection.

Restaurant was very nice! And the food was delicious! Great atmosphere! Will be coming here again!

We are local and ate at the Side Door on aThursday night. We had beef fajitas and the whitefish sandwich plate. Both were excellent. The fajita meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our server was prompt and friendly. The pub atmosphere and music was great. We’ll be back 😊!

Wonderful ambiance, delicious food *vast selection- which is great for those picky eaters*, prompt/friendly service, excellent wine list, fun cocktails... Nice Northern Michigan hidden gem! No complaints (if there would be, I sure wouldn't go on Google to blast the business without speaking to management!). Thank you Pelican!

Stopped by on our way through town last night. Our food was delicious. I had chicken tenders and despite being made with breast meat, they were done to perfection and not at all dry. The green beans were buttery and not over cooked. Good list of wines. We happened to be there when there was live music and it was enjoyable to sit on the deck in the fresh air. They do take (and kind of expect?) reservations. We didn’t have one but our waitress squeezed us in.

Great gem in Central Lake. Was at "Wing" night with $3 Margarita's! Wings are really good and so is all the menu. Regular here and one of our favorite spots in the area!

The absolute best! We had a rehearsal dinner for our daughter's wedding here in August! They were beyond accommodating! The service and the food were exceptional! We can not thank you enough Blue Pelican! 🥰

I was worried about this place, my hubby got the room and didn't realize is haunted. I had to stay because of the price. I'm glad I dont see any gosh. Room was clean and great place to stay .food was good and drinks

Outstanding walleye, absolutely delicious meatloaf. Excellent staff, homey atmosphere. The sous chef and servers were outstanding even when they were short staffed! We will definitely be back, what a wonderful experience overall!

We stopped by for trivia and wings and had a lot of fun. Cool place, chill people, loved the small town feel. The wings were AMAZING. We will be back!

Tried their new pizza. If you like pizza you have to try the blue pelican.

THIS WAS THE BEST! Took our visiting family to dinner here and it was exquisite.

This restaurant has never let us down. Each time we have dined here the food had been great, the service fantastic, and the vibe quite welcoming.

Four of us had a grand meal and we all left almost uncomfortably stuffed. The drinks were good too!

Do yourself a favor and try this place. You will not regret it!

Wonderful experience, walleye was delicious! Gabe our chef was wonderful. Brittany our server was excellent. Highly recommend this beautiful place and their cool seasonal decor.

Staying in Bellair and wanted to go somewhere with a bit of history and also be outside.
The Tiki Bar was fun. Food was very good and the staff is all very helpful and friendly.
