We've lived in town for a few years, but we hadn't understood the full value of this store until we bought a home that was in desperate need of a complete gutting and remodel. Here's why we shop at McLean's:

1. OUTSTANDING customer service with people who know where things are, and KNOW how to get things done! I have asked so many questions, received so much good advice, and I am certain that our home wouldn't be as far along as it is today without the help of the men and women who work in this store. Joe, Gary, Nancy, Cathy, Terri, Kip, Jeremy, Jessica, Alyssa, Celina...the list goes on and on. They've even helped me find solutions, multiple times, that didn't require me spending a penny in store!

2. UNBELIEVABLE selection of products. They probably carry what you're looking for, and if not, they'll tell you where you can get it. (More than once I've been told to head to another store to get a product they didn't stock...who does that??). Whether it's lumber, hardware, tools, or some miscellaneous bolt that you need to prevent a barn door from sliding off its rails (for real!), they have it.

3. LOCAL employees, local owners, and this is a company that invests in the community. They hire a lot of teenagers and work with their school and sports schedules like few other companies do. One of our kids worked for them and we couldn't believe how well they paid her, and how graciously they worked with her athletic and academic schedules. Locally owned matters.

4. COMPETITIVE pricing to go with their significant inventory. Sure, you can occasionally save money on certain products by hitting up the big box stores, but not having to drive 35 minutes (each way), or not having to try and find someone to help answer your questions (seriously...McLean's staff are plentiful and their experience is unmatched!) is worth a few extra dollars.

5. FREE popcorn. yeah, if you were on the fence before you now have a reason to make this store your go-to for hardware and lumber. You can't be sad and eat popcorn at the same time.

So if you like locally owned hardware stores that have outstanding customer service, great inventory, competitive prices, and free popcorn...McLean's is the place for you!

Great rental center. Needed something to raise a 400 lbs window into place. Rented a material lift for a great daily rate. Guys in the rental center were super even giving suggestions as to how to move window into opening once I had it raised. Great staff & place !

Great store, easy to find anything you need. The staff are the best! Always helpful and friendly

They had what I needed, (a bike lock) and were able and willing to show me where it was. No complaints.

Very complete hardware store. Found 2 things I'd been looking for, one for over a year, which shouldn't have been so difficult (Milwaukee isn't an obscure manufacturer). Lot of RV equipment and accessories. Only negative was the popcorn for customers was lame...

We Love this place! ❤ We've been in the area for 16 years, and McLean's is our go-to store for everything from bird food to major project supplies. They have everything we need! The staff members are super friendly, and very helpful. Many of them have been there for years! Can't say enough about about how awesome McLean's is!

Great hardware store, if they don't have it you probably don't need it. Friendly knowledgeable staff. I always find what I'm looking for at McLean's.

Incredible place, it's really big and my husband especially loved how they carry practically every Milwaukee power tool and hand tool. The sales and service were excellent.

Bought a gorilla cart. Hopefully It holds up. Good sale price. Says I have a yr warranty..

I've been shopping here for a few years. Absolutely the best stocked and equipped hardware store I've experienced in a long time. Prices are a little higher than those in the big stores, but the drive to the big stores wasn't worth it even before Brandon's gas prices.

Great to have one of the last true customer oriented hardware stores left in America right I. My backyard. When you go here you will feel like you just stepped out of a time machine back to pre lowes, Home Depot, builders square days. And the customer service is what makes it authentic, ask anyone in that store and I promise you they will have the answer or get the answer immediately. Prices are definitely higher, but I will gladly pay the small extra for this experience and treatment, and also I am a huge supporter of local business by local people, so I’m rooting for ya Mcleans, and when that day comes for a Home Depot next door to it, I will still support this store for the small purchases I make for around the home.

The employees are always friendly and very helpful.... it's very rare they don't have what I am looking for.... and they will happily order it, and contact you when it comes in 😊

Even if you don't think they'll have it. They probably do! Went in looking for a specific flower/houseplant fertilizer and they had exactly what I was looking for. Always such helpful kind staff as well.

Lots of stuff at reasonable prices!!

I have been going into this hardware store for years. I try to know what I’m talking about and what I need, however I can’t count the number of times I have been total lost, or about to do something the hard way and these people have saved me from myself. The friendliness,knowledge, and all around atmosphere can’t be beat. This is without a doubt a great bunch people. I’ve never walked out of the place without a smile on my face.

Great home town hardware store and rent it center! They usually have exactly what I need and friendly staff to help me find it.

You know that part, that you need for that thing, the round one that goes inside the other grey thing? Yep, they have it. Oh, and that other thing that goes with it too. Get both. Get the screen fixed, glass cut, birdseed, Grade 8 bolt, Garage door hardware, box hinge, lawnmower blade, satin lacquer, shovel, and popcorn. ✅✅✅

This is my kind of store, reminds me of when Grandpa and I would go to the hardware. Also it's locally owned, with people that clearly care about their employees, co-workers, and customers.
