Wilcox-Palmer-Shah Preserve

Accidentally saw the place and decided to look. The beach is great! Very clean and beautiful. Sand. Pure water. I recommend! Great place for family with children

We stopped here for a walk along the beach while staying in Elk Rapids. It was very clean and a beautiful length of beach to stroll for Petoskey stone searching. There is a small sign off the side of the road and not a lot of parking for the location we stopped at. We had to park along the road, but traffic is not very fast and people were considerate as the passed by while we unloaded our kids. There are about 15 steps up and then 15 more down to get from the road to the beach. It was a beautiful day and the Beautiful example of Michigan's finest beaches. Definitely worth checking out for a picnic or a beach walk. It would probably be excellent for watching the sunset as well.

Enter on a secreted boardwalk from a side road north of town, and down the stairs for a quiet walk along miles of sandy beach on east Grand Traverse Bay. Remember to stay on the waterline, as private homes line much of the shore beyond the beach. Not wheelchair accessible.

This place is good for locals but if your on vacay from out of town I wouldn't recommend comming here it'll be a literal waste of time. Go to memorial beach its so nice there!

Beautiful, un-populated beach! Spent a few hours here in July, and found a couple Petoskey stones!

Went there to walk and reflect, very nice and quiet place.

Quaint nature area that has a beautiful beach area on the bay. Never crowded and also a great spot to hunt for rocks. Found several Petoskey stones pretty quickly. Gorgeous view here!

One of the few natural beaches on the Lake Michigan coast. Good stretch of quiet beach with low dunes and botanical diversity.

Great place to look for Petoskey Stones as well as take on a scenic sunset. Accessible by walking up a wooded staircase from N Bayshore Dr.

Beautiful scenery, very relaxing. Been going to this beach sence before part of consevency for 40 years.

Loved it, small and quaint. No bathrooms, so go before you get there.
