The River Street Market

This place is awesome! A hidden gem. The food here is amazing. I won a gift certificate from z93 for a free pizza from here. We decided to take a random road trip to Elk Rapids to get pizza for dinner, and in SO GLAD we did! Mike who makes the food is a great guy. The pizza was delicious, they actually have a pretty big menu, and Mike encouraged us to try some of their sandwiches someday. It only took about 10-15 minutes to have a fresh pizza to go. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Mike and staff 💗

River Street market is everything to me!!! The sandwiches and pizzas are the best in Elk Rapids because it’s about quality of the ingredients and then preparation of the item ordered. Mike is an amazing chef and his skills at creating great food is unmatched in my opinion. Don’t go anywhere else for pizza or sandwiches as you will just encounter mediocre. There is nothing average about River Street Market. As one reviewer said, it is a hidden gem and I so agree with that comment!!!

Great place. Owner is friendly and accommodating. We stopped in for lunch and got pizza, Italian Sandwich and Italian Wedding Soup. Everything was delicious and made fresh. They definitely use quality ingredients and unique flavor combinations to elevate their offerings.

I live in Denver and have never found a sandwich there as good as River Street. I’m not exaggerating when I say this is one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in my entire life. The homemade bread was incredible. I had the gobbler for lunch and wanted another for dinner. Must stop if you’re in the area!

Just stopped in and Mike gave us a sample of his fresh bread he was baking. So we had to take an Italian back to Torch Lake for lunch. Awesome sandwich. Definitely a future go to lunch spot everytime we are back up to the lake.

I display at art shows 3 times a year, and it is an absolute treat to have their pizza. The Mediterranean is my favorite. Best in town!

We love the market! The food is always fresh and delicious! (You can ask Mike to make you something and he never disappoints) The menu is consistently on par with the season or holiday. Everyone is smiling and happy to help. We leave with a smile and a full belly every time!

We pulled in the marina several times this summer and walked to the River Street Market. This is our go to place for sandwiches, pizza, beer, wine, liquor, etc. The food is incredible! A must have in Elk Rapids.

Wow just wow! I just tried their pizza for the 1st time and I will definitely be back. Mike was super helpful with describing the options and helping me decide. I mentioned I liked butternut squash soup and he recommend I try the Garden Gobbler that has squash, pesto, slices of parm and other good stuff I would never have thought to combine on a pizza. The homemade crust was crispy and delicious. I will be back to try more varieties. Thanks for a great experience and for making thoughtfully delicious food!

I have been on a 6 year quest for the best pizza in the county and this is it! Don't waste your time looking elsewhere! Mike and Michael are awesome! AND THEY DELIVER!
I really HATE limp, drooping pizza crust that falls in my lap which is what everyone else around here is doing. These guys got the BEST pizza dough crust in the state! Pizza by the slice sells out by noon so get in here early or just phone in your order to go/delivered.
They got a new recipe for crust, sauce and toppings - and it ROCKS!

Great pizza! Of your 4 pizza options in the elk rapids/kewadin area, this is definitely the best. Sauce, toppings, and crust - all spot on.

The General Store is Under New Ownership and they are great people. Ordered a 16 inch Pizza with everything and it was awesome. The only suggestion would be to add delivery. Nobody in Elk Rapids offers delivery. It would be a good niche.

A suggestion to the new owners, you can contact Google to remove the bad reviews that were not yours.

Really solid pizza, it's definitely my favorite in town. They also have a decent local beer selection from all over Michigan.
