Stopped in on our way out from a ski trip- wow!
Excellent food! I got the Cowboy Burger and it was absolutely delicious. There were 4 of us in our group, and not a crumb was left behind.
The vibe is very hometown bar, always have the select locals sitting at the bar, waitress is very informal. If you're looking for great food and solid vibes, stop in!

I never have a bad time when I visit this local bar. The staff are always friendly and personable and they deal with the influx of people that usually accompany my group after our wrestling event, and they do so with both aplomb and grace. The food is always top-notch; delicious would be a good descriptor, but actual care is taken in preparing it, so it is beyond just delicious. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and there are two very distinct sections of the bar, which lends itself to different sorts of get-togethers. The pool tables on the one side of the bar give an activity for my friends and I, and they even have a dart board. They have a jukebox on that side, and a live DJ on the other side, which is darker than the pool table side and filled with tables. There is a bar on both sides, so no need to wander very far for a drink or anything else you may need. I always love when I am afforded the opportunity to go to Kalkaska for wrestling at MCPW, because I know the evening will end at Kal-Ho's, and that is always a welcome place to be at.

Trav’s homemade special sauce on that thick meat sub really hit me right in my spot! Whew boy that man can fill a hungry hole. Thanks for dinner daddy 😘

Definitely a local hangout with a flair. Tried their Philadelphia Cheesesteak pizza. I was not disappointed. The flavor resembles a Philadelphia cheesesteak. Thank you for your recommendations!

Place is great and always has really good food. My mom had issues with her food and they just took it back and brought her a new plate everything fresh. I never had issues with food there; only issue I've ever had is I gotta wait 10 minutes to eat it because it's so hot. Haha

Laid back dark bar. Very quiet when I was there, but I was there at 4pm on a Saturday.

The local "watering hole". The food is great, the drinks are strong and we always love seeing the staff when we come in. I highly recommend the pickle pizza. Sounds weird, but it's my favorite.

Great little bar that has fantastic burgers. You could tell that the burger patties were not frozen, or pre-formed because the meat had a nice loose quality to it. Very cozy place with lots of history

Just a great place to stop by and enjoy! Not a local establishment for me, but we all had the feeling like we had been a valued and repeated customer there for years! We stopped for dinner, enjoyed their whole small town charm and ended up staying for almost three hours! The staff....they were the reason why, they were so friendly, talkative, and you could tell they loved their jobs! Each of us ordered different items from the menu-everyone was very pleased! Hats off to you Kal-Ho!

Had the Bacon Cheddar Burger for the first time. Happily surprised that the bacon wasn't in straps. It was shredded and covered the entire burger. Great idea!

Ok, I’ve lived in Kalkaska for the last five years and never been here. Made jokes about the place and stayed away. I was in today and the place is great. Totally friendly staff making us feel like beyond welcome. I will definitely be back.

I am telling you this bar restaurant was better than all the other restaurants in Kalkaska and Fife lake. I do like Yankee boy though its pretty much a tie.

I still like this place, alot but my Philly sandwich was a sad looking sandwich. It tasted good but hardly had anything on it. A quarter of it was hard bread the other 3/4 of it consisted of bread small amounts of onion, green peppers, cheese with a little bit of beef. If I would have thought about it I should have taken a picture of it but I used my fork to poke around it and kind of mixed it around to see what was there. Sorry

Great local bar! Fried green beans are a must, and the pizza you can't go wrong. TRAVIS is an outstanding bartender and good dude. Ask for him if ever any questions.
