This inn was honestly a surprise. Looking online it seemed the best in the area. From the outside you get a slightly bad impression. But once in my room I was pleasantly surprised at how updated and clean the rooms were.

I lost my engagement ring in the room we stayed in (two years ago) I didn't realize until we had been on the road for quite some time. I immediately called them and they checked for me. It was returned safely! Honest owners and employees. Not everyone would have admitted to finding that ring! Clean facilities. I'll be staying there again next month.

It was excellent because they went above and beyond to accommodate us. We paid $556.00 for 7 days 6 nights. It was a very nice place, got treated very well, & house keeping was up to par. I would definitely recommend to all of my friends when i come back. If we ever need a room, this is where we will be staying.

My stay was unexpected. I had an accident just down the road and stayed there one night a week ago waiting for my car to be repaired. Of course, I wasn't in a great mood at check-in, but that disappeared quickly once I got settled in. It was a clean, comfortable room. Some chairs were placed outside; plus the owner had tables and chairs set up on the far side of the parking lot, too, which I took full advantage of. There were some folks outside during the evening enjoying the summer weather, but it was quiet by 10 p.m., which was great. Owner was super nice and lent me a phone charger. I would stay here again.

Very clean accommodations and friendly staff. Rose checked us in and she was just so nice. We also liked this hotel because it is smoke free. We also liked that they only have certain rooms that they allow pets in. So if you have pet allergies like us, just get one of the non-pet rooms. This was great for us!
Thanks Rose for a great stay!!!

If you want luxury 5 star with a pool, go pay $300+ a night in traverse city. This is a fair price, clean, family owned hotel with kind staff. Kalkaska is not where the millionaires live. This hotel is perfect for budget travelers and those looking to be "in the middle" of all the bigger cities (Traverse, Petoskey, Gaylord, Grayling, etc) for easy traveling. I came out here for a work contract, and this hotel was perfect for what I needed. Pretty decent food in Kalkaska as well!

A comfortable and clean place to stay. I absolutely loved meeting Rose. I will definitely be staying here again! Amazing hospitality, good vibes, hot shower (with tub), comfy bed with extra pillows and a pleasant surprise finding a fridge and microwave in the room, too!

My room is clean, doesn't smell, towels are clean and soft, the bed is firm and comfy, and everything works. The floor creaks when the people above me walk around, but I'd gladly stay here again. Oh ya, TV has 84 channels to choose from.

Is it a 5-star hotel? No. Is it 5 stars for a 1-star motel? Yes. Clean, inexpensive, updated, cable, wi-fi, pets allowed upon $50 surcharge, minimal hotel amenities otherwise. I was surprised at what I got for a motel stay.

So far it's nice. We just got here. The girl at the desk at the desk didn't know what she was doing but when the owner came out it was quickly taken care of.

We stayed here for a wedding in Traverse City. It was very convenient to drive to and from the city with lots of sights to see along the way. Great price and away from the crowded roads and noise of Traverse City.
