Great food, nice variety of breakfast options, service is quick and attentive, very polite folks too. Great value for money.
Ordered the hot dog & cheese omelette (comes with hash browns and toast), grilled ham & cheese sandwich with a side of fries, and a hot chocolate (includes one free refill)… $19 plus tip.
Cash only so be prepared.

Easter Sunday with surprisingly few restaurants open we decided to give Sunrise a try. What a wonderful surprise. The place looked very clean and we were greeted by several people from behind the counter when we came in. The menu was limited, however, we were able to find some selections and ordered. Our breakfast arrived at the table quickly and was delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. If I were to voice a complaint it might be that it is a cash only place. That being said everything else was exceptional and we will be back.

Now this is the truest "Family" restaurant around. The waitresses know most everyone that comes in by name. They are always friendly and talking with everyone! I've even witnessed a waitress sit for a moment with an elderly customer that was alone just so they didn't "feel" alone. This is the place you want to grow old going to because here it is like a family gathering! The food is always good & the atmosphere is always friendly!

Friendly staff and tasty food

Me and my fiancé LOVE this Coney Island. A few years back we weren’t the richest and went in with roller change (they have amazing prices) we went in got our food (everything perfect) and we went to pay, the owners took care of our meal!! Of course we left what money we had for tips but we’ve been eating there religiously since then!! Good people, good food, good prices. The only thing I hate is I can’t order 24-7!!

The little place by my favorite resale store does have great service and food. You can even watch that skilled man cook your food! If you stop by be prepared with cash and go early as they close before the dinner hour. There is coney style food at very reasonable prices.

I've been going to Sunrise Coney Island since I was a child and this place is absolutely amazing! The people here are very friendly and always treat everyone like family. It's cozy, small, and quiet. The atmosphere is very laid back and pleasant. The food is absolutely fantastic! I'd recommended going here to eat anytime of the day. The prices are also very good, for two people to eat with full breakfasts you're looking at only $14! All in all a beautiful, homey, family owned Coney Island!

Best place around. Low prices and big portions. Wait staff is so nice, like they know you already. Great cook, every thing is super delicious. You should stop in.

The epitome of a greasy spoon. Don't come here expecting eggs benedict or gourmet waffles (or any waffles for that matter) What you'll get is great breakfast and lunch and big portions served by waitresses that have been smoking for 40 years+. Food is hot, fast, and cheap. Ca$h only

The food was sooo good! I got the breakfast special, it was fast and the hash browns were perfect! The waitress was very friendly too!

I've been coming here with my family for 17 + years. Walter , Mary and the rest of the staff have watched my kids grow up and now my kids bring their kids. Food is great as is the service and the people who serve us.
