How have I never stumbled into this hidden gem?! I hate having to buy books new if I don’t have to and would rather find some gently loved ones I can read. The store was well organized and the owner was super helpful, friendly and welcoming. Secured a longtime customer today! I love shopping local and supporting our businesses and this fits the bill perfectly.

We went here for the first time. Kind of small and cramped (my mom had a hard time getting around with her Walker but she managed) but they had a great selection of books. We ended up getting around 8 books. The woman at the register was incredibly nice, explained the trade-in policies etc. prices are reasonable. Definitely will be going back. I’d definitely recommend this place. Well worth the time.

Nice to have a great used bookstore right here in town. Owner is very friendly and will help you find anything you're looking for. Store is laid out well and very organized with a great selection of books in very good to new condition.

This is a great little book shop! If they don't have what you are looking for they will order it for you. There's a collectible book section, new books, used books, and trading options for books you won't re-read.

I forgot the owner's name, but she's a gem. I asked for specific genres, and she pointed me directly to where I needed to go. She gave great recommendations and was fun to chat with. I can't wait to go back when I'm back home visiting family!

Found this little gem yesterday. Browns Family Bookstore is packed to the brim with fairly priced books and personality to match. Brought my son in and the owner took more than ample time to accommodate his questions and help him find some new chapter books (that he already loves)! You can't find the the charisma that BFB offers online or anywhere else on the east side. Do stop in, often... I know we will.

This place is fantastic I've been there 3times. Jennifer is wonderful she's the owner ask her where a book is and she'll tell you within 2 inches where the book is. Her assistant is a wonderful woman who's vast knowledge of everything inspires me more to read more physical books. It's a definite must go to. Put this shop on your bucket list.

This is a great bookstore. They have used books at such great prices. I would rather go to a local business than have a giant in multinational deliver a book to my door. Browsing is an in-person experience, not a metaphor.

It's a small, cozy nook, with almost any novel/memoir you can think of—and what books they don't have, they'll order for you! I ordered three CNF books while I was visiting, and they had them in the store by that weekend. Everyone, before you think about ordering on Amazon, think about your local bookstores; they give an experience Amazon could never provide. Appreciate them before they disappear for good!

I simply love this used book store they have older copies of books as well as almost new copies . I've found some rare treasures in this shop ❤ The ladies that work there are so much fun to chat with as well as being super helpful and informative. If they dont have your book 9 times outta 10 they will find it and order it for you. They been known to take your name and number and actually call you when that certain book you cant find lands in there shop. If you're a reader/book worm give this store a try ❤ one more thing...they also have a return program as well . Read it m take it back and you earn money off your next book ❤ love it!

Soo cool! All second hand but she will order in if you ask. Ask about the trading program! Books stacked to the ceiling in any genre you could imagine. I love this place and each book isnt any more than a couple dollars. Amazing and definitely support this local business!!!!

This place is a treasure! It is one of those cozy places you could see yourself sitting in a corner reading for hours!! She has a wide range of books and a great trade-in system. I have been going there for years! Jennifer is a charm and completes the book store. You won't regret stopping in!

I'm sure this will be my favorite book store for a long time... it's the best hands down. The woman here Jennifer is so nice and always willing to help and go out of her way to get you the best books. Always love chatting with her, the books is absolutely amazing so good I'm never disappointed. I highly recommend visiting this shop.

I love this place! I brought my nephews (who are tough customers) and they want to come back and buy more books every time I babysit. Browns is also my source for Jane Evonovich books. There is something magical about holding an actual book in your hand, and turning the page to see what happens next. Browns provides that magic - for a better price.

Fantastic hidden gem in St. Clair Shores. Huge selection of books and the owner is so nice and helpful. Its tough to find used book stores anymore and this one is great ! Stop in... you won't be disappointed ☺ Just call before you stop up cause she closes some days unexpectedly.

The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful! They even set books aside for my son whenever they get a new item that they think he'll like! I can't recommend this store highly enough!
