Great selection of reissued vinyl and old vinyl. Reasonably priced, great staff! They also custom order, if it's available they can usually get it. If you see something you want, buy it. Chances are it won't be there long.

Great store with a great staff. They have a great inventory of vinyl and you can never walk out of there without finding something you’ve been looking for.

Discovered Trax N Wax several months back. It’s a great place to browse for CDs/DVDs/Blu-Rays to replace media I’ve misplaced or lost over the years. They also have video games, vinyl, and VHS tapes. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is knowledgeable and super helpful.

I've been to every record shop in south east Michigan and this is by far the best one. Their $1 bins have some great stuff in them. Just be prepared to dig through them. Staff is always very nice and knowledgeable. Sometimes they have live performances out front. They really specialize I'd say in rock/pop. Not as much of the other genres but generally enough to find what you are looking for. They post all the trade ins on their social which is so nice to see what they are getting in. I go in every two months or so and it feels like the stock almost entirely rotates through in that time period. Will continue to keep coming here.

Tons of vinyls, dvds, and older games. Shop was clean and staff was very helpful when we were looking for something specific. Most of the selection was very well priced.

Good place for hard to find movies I'm not sure what happened to the other guy that worked there he was nice the new people rip u off if ur selling DVDs and blue rays beside that do like the place I bought in 70 DVDs and blue rays for credit these new people only gave me 30 dollar credit the original guy would give me at least 60 or more like I said good place to find rare stuff the only bad thing I have to say the new people who work there suck

Since the downfall of Car City Records, Trax 'n Wax has easily overtaken the position as my favorite record shoppe. Always interesting ever changing new vinyl stock and possibly the best selection of used CDs in the Detroit area. But my favorite attraction has to be the rolling dollar lp bins on the floor. You'll often find me crouched down there digging for any 60s country or psychedelic gem. Never had a bad experience there and never plan on one either.

Our first time in there after having read about them in a Facebook record group; did not disappoint. Actually had to stop ourselves from spending too much. The section of 45s alone I could have dropped a small fortune. But we brought home a sack each of records and CDs and left enough there to ensure we'll return for another visit.

Always a favorite place for me to stop in. Their inventory of incoming vinyl is top notch. Especially in the hip-hop department. You can the they are experts in their fields and passionate about collecting and listening to music.

Love this place! Classic record stores definitely aren't popular anymore so it was cool finding this place. Nice employees and awesome merchandise including some rare detroit underground merchandise

I've always loved vinyl and this place reminded me of Record Time that I loved growing up on the east side. Coincidentally, ran into Mike that used to own RT and immediately felt right at home. I picked up an import of Kissing the Pink which skips pretty badly, but I'm sure they will work with me. I will surely introduce my 13yr old daughter to this place once I get my phonograph all set up.

Pretty great store. So much content to look at you better have plenty of time. Prices are pretty much on par with everywhere else. If you are looking for vinyl there is tons! If you are venturing into the dollar bin stuff be ready to spend even more time. There is so much to look at it's a multi trip adventure. Spent the last two days there and still haven't made it through everything. The staff are super nice and helpful. So far this is my favorite place in the area for vinyl.

There are lots of record stores in the area that are pretty good. But this store is the best by far. Awesome customer service huge selection of new vinyl and old. A lot of times you can get the new vinyl used. The prices are great here. They sell a lot of t-shirts and CDs but the vinyl selection is where they really shine. I would.say this is the best place and the first place you should go to purchase music.
