TownePlace Suites by Marriott Minneapolis West/St. Louis Park

i stayed at this place for two one month periods over the summer/ fall and feel that i have a balanced review of their facilities and services.
the facilities themselves are more than adequate, although not fancy. they are clean and functional. the bed is comfy/ the sheets good quality. their pillows balanced and soft. the kitchen, while not my dream kitchen, is certainly capable of basic cooking. i even made a tuna noodle casserole in the little oven.
sometimes i wished that the water was a little hotter than it was. i didn't use the pool, although lots did--it was a bit open for me with only a chain link fence separating it from the parking lot. it looked clean and well maintained.
every time i asked for something needed, i know that they did their best to facilitate my request--from needing extra hangers, to borrowing envelopes and using their copy machine. at the time i felt in all occasions as though i was possibly pushing their generosity a bit, but each time they went out of their way to accommodate. they even gave me spare empty boxes to help a client move--which was of course no sacrifice on their part, but it did involve hunting around and looking--which they certainly didn't have to do.
i would like to make a special comment about ellen who runs their breakfast service. she was a shining pillar of cleanliness and hospitality. if a speck of something was dropped on the breakfast counter, within seconds she had it quietly cleaned up again. yet she was friendly, kind and generous to everyone. all of the staff were. i will miss bantering with them everyday, watching them efficiently help other guests though secretly believing that they all liked me better then them, because they treated me so well.

My home away from home.. Loved my ladies here who takes care of me.. Sadly they will be leaving to go back to the Philippines in July.. And sadly my business contact moved further west.. So I may now need to stay at new place.. Nice clean place tho right next door to Mall of America

Stayed here for a weekend getaway with my family and was very happy with our stay. The rooms were very nice and clean. Both the beds were comfortable as were the pillows. The small kitchen was a pleasant surprise. Though we didn't use it, it was nice that we could have easily made a meal in our room had we decided to. The continental breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Though the pool was outside, it was nice. Only thing that would have made the pool better is if it stayed open till 10pm instead of 9pm. Will definitely be staying here again.

I travel 90% of the time. I don't write reviews when there is nothing different from one stay or another... but today I feel I need to let you know about this. I arrived yesterday and will stay here over a week. My room is sparkling clean and comfortable. I love it that it was a full kitchen (with oven and all) It's like a studio apartment and this makes me feel sort of more like at home and I have the freedom to cook a meal for myself which I truly appreciate. The lady that checked me in yesterday was very professional and nice, this is a plus always. My surprise this morning was that they didn't have the hot buffet (as in every hotel, James said it is on the works) but I really didn't miss it, I loved the selection of things for breakfast, different from every other hotel which was refreshing, there where assorted pastries, fruit bars, fruits (natural), oat meal (with all the extras you can add which I love) juices and milk (in their individual bottles (I really like this) and to top it all James Phelps (the assistant manager) was greeting everyone coming in to have breakfast with an immense load of positive energy!!!! Offering if there was anything else he could do to make our stay more pleasant!!! How refreshing to start a day getting in contact with someone who is so happy, upbeat and with an honest desire to help people be happier!!!!! And that was not all... I need to print some Excel sheets and maps for my work, when it gets to the maps I always need to find a place to go because the restrictions in the hotels don't allow me to print, no matter how much I talk with managers, they seem not to understand what my needs are and cannot accommodate... Until today, I tried and... IT WORKED!!!! I need to mention, also, that the Free internet service in my room is fast and reliable!!!! If you are coming this way, try this hotel, you will love it!!!!!

We stayed here for about 6 weeks after being displaced due to a fire. All of the staff from the front desk to housekeeping were extremely friendly and just amazing. As difficult as it was to be living in a hotel during the holidays, they made it as comfortable as possible. My children still ask if we can go back to "the hotel." They have a pretty big continental breakfast especially on the weekends.

The place it's self is amazing, there is one obnoxious occupant in the room above me but that's not the hotels fault. They have seriously the best little kitchen, with a stove, dishwasher, fully stocked of silverware, and Tupperware even! They have a pool which is really nice, even though it is a bit smaller, and staff that is willing to go above and beyond. I would stay here again and again.

For the price this place is five stars. Not a lot of variety to the continental breakfast but you get a small kitchen in your room so... And if you're only staying a day or so you may not notice the lack of variety. I stayed here for two Thursday weekends and every day but once the eggs were fried and boiled. I was super stoked the day their offered cheese omelettes.

We have stayed at this hotel for a lengthy period due to a house fire. The staff is incredibly professional, friendly and they go out of their way to make your stay with them comfortable. The manager James is just wonderful, Mary Margaret and all of the staff we encountered are so warm and friendly. The cleaning staff and maintenance team are perfectionists as well. They all just want to please you as their guest. The location is perfect too! You cannot go wrong booking here!

Consistently friendly staff at the front desk. Michelle is wonderful! Clean rooms. Large parking lot. Great neighborhood with many restaurants within walking distance. Due to Covid, the breakfast buffet was not open. Had a number of options for breakfast bag pickup instead each morning.

We've been to 8 Marriott's across the country in the last 10 days and this one was my favorite. The staff is super nice, helpful, and accommodating. Liz Siegrist at the front desk made sure that we had everything we needed and a staff member, Craig, made sure that the bbq grill was immaculately clean. Yes, this place has a bbq grill that is actually a high-end model and I cooked up a delicious lunch for my family during our stay. Also, the room layout was efficient with a lot of desk space to do work and the unit was very spacious (living area/kitchen + 2 bedrooms and bathroom). The grounds of the hotel are kept up beautifully. The location is centrally located and if I ever return to Minneapolis, I'll definitely book a stay here.

The room was very cozy and came with a lot of kitchen ware, including a full size fridge, an oven, and utensils and glasses. The front attendant was very kind. My only complaint would be the pullout bed that I slept on, which was kind of painful to sleep on (it was a pullout bed so I expected that though). All in all a great hotel!

As of June 2021 this Marriott has not been remodeled. With that said the staff here is amazing and very accommodating. I found the rooms to be comfortable and clean and the price to be reasonable.

The people at this hotel are so nice and helpful! From the time we checked, through breakfast each morning and addressing questions about my bill after check out, this hotel is one of the best! It's conveniently located, the rooms are comfortable and the complimentary breakfast is perfect!

Great room but there is construction going on.

Rooms were nicer than some apartments I've seen. Wouldn't mind living there if I had the money... Rooms were nicely furnished and contained fridge, stove, toaster, and even a dishwasher! Overall I was very impressed and loved my stay.

We stayed in the studio. It's a nice sized room. The kitchen has a stove with broiler and range top, dishwasher, toaster oven, pots and pans, plus plates and utensil. Something new to my travels was a "sitting" desk. It's really handy for working in bed or sitting on the floor. There is a usb outlet on the desk lamp. Bathroom is standard in a positive way. The staff is pleasant and breakfast is free each morning. There is a waffle machine, cooked eggs, hard boiled eggs, sausage, breads, oatmeal, and cold cerel.
