I like that you order at the front, and then find a seat. Works well for this kind of diner setting. I got the loaded hashbrowns and they were very tasty. This place has some good vibes and interesting food offerings. If you're in lowertown and looking for some brunch type diner vibes, this place is for you. I'll be coming back

Super impressed with the Buttered Tin after my first time here—it lived up to the hype! The delicious breakfast set us up for a wonderful day. I highly recommend the cinnamon roll; they’ve got the ooey gooey, fluffy, and chewy texture down to a science, and it still feels homemade. The Damn Good Breakfast Sandwich was also delicious—simple, but very well-executed. The breakfast burrito was huge, so be prepared if you order that. Service was friendly and quick! Overall, the atmosphere was cozy and memorable. The option to sit outside in the shade in Lowertown was very enjoyable on a Sunday morning in June. Based on aroma and what they had on display, it seems baked goods are their strong suit. Can’t wait to be back to try more of the menu, especially the lunch items like the pot roast sandwich. It actually wasn’t too busy when we went around 1pm: about a 5 minute wait in line to order. Please do yourself a favor and give The Buttered Tin a try if you’re considering!

Came in for breakfast from out of town, was greeted but the cashier with a very friendly attitude. Ordered the biscuits and gravy and chai tea, both were excellent!

Definitely an awesome breakfast spot!! Lots of great options! And the staff were all SO kind! The food was a little pricey, but it was worth it. Excellent breakfast burrito and parfait. The pecan coffee cake was TO DIE FOR. The bathrooms were clean. The restaurant was quiet and calm. Definitely will be back!

Delicious brunch and lunch foods! This is an upscale counter service location open for breakfast and lunch hours. They have homemade baked goods as well as breakfast, brunch, and lunch food items. The biscuits and gravy were phenomenal! Not completely traditional but the homemade cheddar biscuits, and the thyme/herb gravy was so delicious. Poached eggs on top were perfectly prepared. Also the gravy was not super heavy and creamy. The grain bowl was also very good! We just got carryout and brought it across to the brewery.

Great place for brunch if you are visiting from out of town or if you live down the block. The ingredients were fresh, homemade and delicious.

I got the Hash, which was a large portion of beef, perfectly poached egg, and fresh cut potatoes.

The homemade bread and the house jam perfectly complemented the meal. Also give their house made hot sauces a try.

Special shout out to Jessica who really took care of us despite it being a very busy morning! She made us feel like we were the only ones in there.

Such great food. Got the Smothered Breakfast Burrito and it was amazing. All the ingredients were well layered and in healthy portions! Loved it. It’s quite big, so be ready… the latte was tasty and the milk froth very well done. We will be frequenting. Definitely come eat and sit here. You’ll love it.

Brought my parents here for breakfast before the drive home. Everyone was very pleased with the quality and service. I've been here several times but having others approval made me write this review. Great place!

Great experience on our first visit. Hot & great tasting coffee! Side pancake with maple bacon butter & side of ham..Awesome choice! No need for the syrup. My husband had the biscuits & gravy...and a cinnamon roll. Exquisite! Wonderful staff..foodies..they know food and are real. We will be back. Thank you for caring. We tasted the care more & love in the food and atmosphere.

It was our first time checking out this cute little bakery in lower town and absolutely loved it!! The food tasted fresh and the service was amazing. The lady also gave us the melt bomb things to take home for free as they were closing and didn’t want it to go waste. I highly recommend this place.

The only bad thing I can say about this place is that they need a bigger location! The food is amazingly good, the service is great and the atmosphere is cozy. It can get a bit cramped once a line forms but that's what happens when you have great food. I also saw a few people struggling to find the restroom, so more signage couldn't hurt them.

I really enjoy going here and would recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone looking for breakfast or brunch in the area.

Oh man. One of my new favorite brunch spots. Had the damn good egg sandwich, pancake with maple bacon butter, cinnamon roll, and housemade granola with fresh fruit.
Everything was really good. Made in house, baked in house too. Very reasonable pricing, especially for being downtown. Plenty of outdoor tables on 7th Street. Super friendly serves as well. Highly recommend this place. (oh, found out owner won season 1 of cake wars as well).

This is a great breakfast experience. It is clean & bright with cheerful, helpful staff. The bathroom was immaculately clean. The crust was light & flaky on hand pie. The butter cream frosting on the cinnamon roll was so decadently delicious. The huevos rancheros Benedict is a superb medley of flavors. I would recommend it for a date breakfast for a couple getting a break from the kids or any true foodie.

The coffee is fantastic! Counter service. The sausage is wonderful! Biscuits and gravy are different then I've ever had, they had sprouts and tomatoes on top. Not my favorite yeah, but not bad either. Definitely different! The baked goods look amazing, didn't have time to have any.

Nice breakfast spot in lowertown. Usually pretty busy on the weekends. Some patio seating and some inside too. We had a delicious (and filling!) breakfast when life threw a plot twist this week. I had the Huevos Rancheros Benedict and the cornbread is a benedict game changer! If you like breakfast, you'll love this place!

Great place to stop for breakfast or lunch. Friendly staff, and the food is always top notch - super fresh and satisfyingly delicious. Whenever I'm in St. Paul I make it a point to stop here.

Plus they have some great bakery items to satisfy your sweet tooth at the end of your meal. Took home a mini key lime pie the last time I was there that my wife and I loved every bite of.

We loved it so much we visited twice on our 4 day trip. The line was long but worth the wait. We had no issues getting a table. The food was high quality and plentiful. Service was great.

Good food, cool atmosphere in downtown St. Paul. Super friendly people, and a good breakfast. I highly recommend if you're waiting a while for a train at Union Depot, it's a great spot that's only a couple blocks from the station!

I ordered the smothered burrito. When it came to the table I knew I was in trouble. Dam!!!! Ate half and gave half to an individual without a home. Heck yeah I would go back!!! It is soooo good that the menu makes it hard to choose!

Five out of five. Tara provided a warm welcome and a couple of laughs. I had the scramble, which changes from day to day. Tara suggested I sprinkle on a little Cry Baby Craig's hot sauce. That was a perfect pairing. I like the vibe here. What could be improved? Mmmmm...maybe they could step up their coffee game, but that's about all I can think of. I'll be back.
