Awesome wine shop! They had a great tasting when I was there and helpful staff too

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great selection and fun conversation about what I was looking for and some recommendations on new things to try.

I know it’s a wine place, but their curated beer selection is incredible. I could’ve closed my eyes and picked anything from the 2-3 small coolers and been happy. They carried a Brooklyn Brewery sour, a Lagunitas N/A, several brews from Bad Weather and Bald Man, many imports, and more. I got to taste a few Japanese beers and sakes while I was there, plus I chatted with a champagne vendor who was visiting. The staff was super knowledgable and approachable.

I was invited to a wine tasting here and it was fantastic. I must have tried 25 wines and enjoyed a story about each one. The owner as well as all the employees are attentive and knowledgeable and the prices were competitive. Come in and find a rare bottle of wine for your personal collection or an ordinary one for dinner.

Fantastic selection of wine but what's even better is the amazing staff. So much knowledge and always willing to help you find just what you are looking for. And the Friday evening wine tasting shouldn't be missed!

Chuck at Solo Vino is absolutely wonderful. He was knowledgeable and passionate without a smidge of pretense. I recently purchased some cider there and had - hands down - the best customer service experience of my life. Solo Vino continues to be the best purveyor of wine in the TC.

Chuck was a blast to talk to and had lots of interesting insight into not only wine, but shochu, mezcal and Japanese whiskey as well. Already planning to head back soon to try a few things there that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Love a place with passionate, knowledgeable people working and great prices and selection. Love this wine shop! All of the staff are very knowledgeable and I always come home with a great bottle of wine (or two). They also have fun events, like special tastings on Sundays. I always learn a lot!

Great selection with hard to find wines. Easy parking in a small private parking lot to the side of the store. Worth driving to.

As a former resident of the neighborhood (13 years), I highly recommend Solo Vino. I don’t remember ever buying a bad bottle of wine here. Do yourself a favor and don’t be shy about asking for recommendations, even if you’re in a hurry. The staff is super friendly and intuitively accommodating, no matter if you’re in a rush to grab a bottle of wine or two for a a get-together, or you feel like hanging out and learning more. Even if you’re not a neighbor, make the trip and give your business to people who bother to know what they’re stocking. Solo Vino is an important part of what makes Selby Avenue great!

The staff and selection could not be better. SV makes their customers feel so welcome. Friday night wine tastings are great. Anecdote: I walked in lamenting about having issues with my printer at home, and Sean went as far as to troubleshoot it for me. Above and beyond!

Great experience for non-wine drinkers. We came in asking for something approachable, and the staff were awesome in curating a selection based on our thoughts on a “baseline” wine. We will be coming here again when in St. Paul!

Solo Vino is the prime example of a local merchant that is invested in the community. We are so lucky to have Solo Vino as a neighborhood business. Fantastic wine selection with the knowledge to back it up. Drink what you like, if you like it then it is a good wine is often said by them. They can get down and dirty with the finer details for wine snobs or keep it simple for those just testing the water. A must stop if you are in the area.

Great wine selection, they don't have a huge beer selection but seem to rotate it a lot. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They often have wine tastings on weekend nights.
