High Score Video Games

This is a great store for many reasons! We called to see if they could do repairs on handheld consoles and the friendly employee on the phone offered to help troubleshoot our Switch issue! We had never been to this store before, but I was blown away with nostalgia from their impressive variety of retro video games and consoles, along with their collectors’ pieces and other gaming accessories! The employees all seemed SO friendly while they helped customers and discussed shared interests! You just get a wholesome good vibe all around. Long story short, we ended visiting a second time and decided to just do a trade in with a Switch they had in store that was in great condition and at a great value for our non-functioning handheld. The employee who assisted us in the trade was so friendly and made my kiddo leave one happy li’l human with a new Switch that works with no problems and no flaws! I can appreciate that the staff takes the time to make kids feel just as seen in there as the adults. Conversing with them about video games that they too appreciate, making kids feel like their interests feel supported and that growing up doesn’t mean we all lose our childhood experiences of how video games brought and still bring us some joy in adulthood. We will indeed be returning customers because of our pleasant first impressions with employees and also because of the store’s wide variety of items and treasures they have available in store! Great store! The owner and staff are great, know their stuff, great selection of vintage games up to current systems and fantastic prices! The layout is amazing at the new location! 10/10 shop here for your gaming needs and wants!

Always a pleasant experience. My son comes here to trade and buy Pokémon cards and snag some games when we see something we like. Staff is amazing.

Super cool retro gaming store. Lots of options of systems and games and prices are reasonable for the most part. Great selection of funko pop as well. Looking for something gamer based? This is a great spot!

The place is really nice and big the guy and girl who helped me where so so nice and really helpful with my purchase and made sure I was satisfied and gave me a good deal I really liked that place bummed they moved from shakopee and wish they had a bigger ps3 selection all in all really great experience

This store is amazing and has everything a collector could want! They have games from Atari to PS5 and collectors items from Funko Pops to Pokémon cards. The staff is fun to work with and they are very honest about the trade-in pricing.

This place is awesome! I started going to the store in Shakopee a few months before they moved. The EP location is so much better. Tons of games to select from. They have a great flow of GameCube games coming into the store, most game stores in the area just have a bunch of sports games for the GameCube. Tommy is awesome and super helpful every time I'm there. Main suggestion would be to price games on display. This would make the experience a bit smoother.

My son and I were so bummed when we realized High Score in Shakopee had closed, until we stumbled across the new location at the Eden Prairie Mall which is 100 times better!!! The staff is friendly and helpful and if we do have to wait in line for a while they usually have a free little trinket or card for my son who thinks that's the best!

This place was amazing. Very friendly and welcoming, and Easy to talk with. Great prices too. They even gave my son a free Pokémon card for being so good. I would high recommend this store. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Glad to see this store blowing up! I was a regular at the store in Chaska so to see it grow makes me happy to know there is still a place to get the old games and systems along with alot of cool other things!

Awesome place to buy used games and consoles. I was even able to find an original charger cord for my PSP. Good prices for buying and selling too! Can’t wait to check out their new location in Eden Prairie, although I will miss them being so close.

I had no idea what I was walking into but was floored by what I found. It’s like a game stop but so much better because they will take vintage games and systems. Looking for a working NES? They got it. How about an Atari, they got it. And if they don’t have what you specifically need, they will put you in their system and call you when they do.

Their trade in prices are really fair too. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and willing to help make a deal. I will certainly be going back often.

I had a great experience with the staff and they treated me with respect. They have wonderful customer service and a huge inventory of games and cards. I was able to get exactly what I've been wanting to get for years. I was very satisfied and recommend this store to all in the area who have gaming needs

Really fun place to stop by! My friend and I always stop by as part of our weekly hang out ritual, stop for coffee, then to the video game store. I love strolling around and seeing all the retro stuff on display, and entertain myself by watching my friend spend an ungodly amount of money on video games. The owner is awesome and is fun to talk about modern and retro releases, and the rest of the staff is fantastic and very much knowledgeable about current and past titles, even the small niche markets that not many talk about, much less even know about. Great store if you want to stop by and browse, and chances are you'll find something you like aswell!

Probably the best gaming shop you will ever get, they have some used stuff. But it ain't no scam, they have consoles from 1970-present. It's also very cheap for old consoles too.

The best retro video game inventory i have seen in the Metro. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. This was like there were so many games for so many systems...I saw some things, things I've never seen before in the wild.

Staff are amazingly kind and patient, helped me sort through a whole bunch of old consoles and a pile of games! Trade in prices were great honestly, places like Gamestop don't even hold a candle to these guys. If you are looking for value as well as actually great service and recommendations for consoles and games, these guys are place to go to!

So long as they are operational and I am living in the area, I really don't think I'll ever shop another game store again. Customer for life!

Oh man these guys are great. not only are they always super helpful and knowledgeable, but they have heart and are genuinely good people. Thank you for being the best retro game store! It's a 45 min drive but honestly you just can't keep us away :)
