Freight House

We’ve been coming to the freight House for many years. Lately we’ve been attending the Mick Sterling live music series on Thursdays and Sundays. First, the music is amazing. Excellent production and first class musicians! Second, the room is great for live music venue. And thirdly, the service is fantastic, very attentive and friendly people! The food menu is limited, a bit pricey but pretty decent. I recommend this place whole heartedly and will be coming back to hang out on the massive deck in the summer.

Overall an amazing experience! Our waiter was so polite, friendly, and down to earth. We had the DF walleye & salmon. Both entrees were super delicious! Be sure to note that you need to enter on the south side of the building during the winter.

Great outdoor patio over looking the river. Lots of seating. Large portions so be ready to share. The waiter was super friendly and the food was delicious!

The chicken nachos were great. And the music was great. We saw Olivia Newton John and Anne Murray on Thursday and The Bee Gees on Friday they were both fun and highly entertaining. Look forward to coming back.

We had an incredible night of music with delicious entrees and cocktails! Our server Bruce was very attentive to our needs!
Steeling Dan was amazing and the sound and video screens were excellent!

The staff here are so accommodating and polite. We came near the end of the day, and wanted to be able to watch the hot air balloons in the sky. The staff were kind enough to put down the umbrellas so we could see!

The food is okay, though a bit pricey for the portions. That said, we enjoyed our experience and the food was delicious.

The patio was wonderful, with a lovely view of the river and a nice breeze.

I would come here again, though I feel like the dishes could use sides to make them worth the price.

We had a phenomenal time on the patio with our two dogs. The entire staff was so proper and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted fresh. I highly recommend this place if you don't mind a busier scene. I really was impressed with the business for such a busy weekend evening.

These guys have really upped their game! The menu, the service, the quality are all among the best in Stillwater - especially considering places with great river views. We were immediately seated on the large patio overlooking the Saint Croix River and had water & a drink order in within minutes. The menu is creative. Whiskey bacon burger was one choice and blackberry turkey was the other, accompanied by a Saint Croix Punch & a Lift Bridge Farm Girl. Made for a memorable outing!

Food is fire here !!! Service was great ! Music was great !! Just a great experience for our 1st time here !!

Great location by the St. Croix River. Enjoyed a beer, an impossible burger, and some kettle chips on a sunny afternoon on the patio (under a shaded umbrella).

Beautiful patio overlooking the river. We had excellent service from the bartender who was also doing tables. Food was a little expensive but was very good. The patio is huge with plenty of seating. Didn’t go inside but looked nice.

The food here was delicious, They have a small menu. But there is something for everyone. I has the Fried Pork Rib dinner, It was fantastic. I haven't been here for a long time so I was surprised to see how much the interior and menu changed.
Our waiter was super nice and very informative as well.
If we are in the area again, We will for sure make a return trip here.

O man this restaurant experience is amazing. I had the pork shoulder and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The corn bread was delicious and the whiskey menu is extensive.

The Freight House is a great location to stop by for a beer/drink or some food. The food is good, they have a pretty good selection of beers on tap and in bottles/cans, the prices are fair, the wait staff and bar staff have always been super friendly and provided excellent service, and the old historic building it is located within is definitely worth checking it out. Convenient location in downtown Stillwater.

Maddy 3.0 was the bomb! She made our experience so much fun! She kept the drinks and fun times flowing! Manager said no umbrellas in our bucket drinks and she said NOT ON MY WATCH!

This place is SO GOOD. I got the southern fried chicken sandwich with fries and that thing is so so so good. It kinda tastes like a hot honey chicken sandwich or something and it had a little bit of spice but it wasn't too spicy at all. The fish tacos were amazing too, I loved the sauce on them. Our server was so nice too, I didn't catch his name but he had a beard and wore a necklace with a ring on it. If you get him, you'll be good!!! Please come here, the water is so pretty to sit by.

Large deck with plenty of tables, umbrellas, seating, staff, good food and drinks. Lift Bridge brews and views, of St Croix River. Right on bike path with bike racks.

Great place to relax and have a beverage. If you walk the loop around the river you get great views on the big bridge and you'll earn your beer since it's almost 6 miles. Get a pretzel and relax with family and friends. Great service, great food. Just remember to feed the meter for your car :-)

Fun location in Stillwater overlooking the river. Dog friendly patio with lots of seating options outside. Staff is very friendly and helpful, beer is cold, and the eats are sooo delish! Be sure to remember your wallet $$.
