To say this hotel is pet friendly Is just not enough. They are amazing. We arrived and there were food and water dishes, treats, a dog bed, and cute little tags for the dogs collars w the hotel address in case anyone got lost during our stay. This type of detail made my day!
There was a happy anniversary note for my husband and me along w two yummy truffles. A perfect snack before we took the 5 mile loop walk.

The room was fabulous. We got exactly what we asked for and more.
We had family photos taking place inside and outside hotel and the manager was amazing. She listened to what I was looking for and showed me great spots for the pictures. The front desk staff was already briefing our photographer on the location when we arrived in the lobby.

We had dinner and breakfast In The attached restaurant- and all was fantastic.

I have nothing but positive notes for our entire stay. I highly recommend the Lora and especially if you are traveling with your fur kids!

Fantastic hotel, not the cheapest place in town but you absolutely get what you pay for. Service is fantastic, beds are perfect, honor bar with local snacks and local beers. Building is so unique and cool.

I had an absolutely LOVELY two nights at Lora this week. The staff was so kind and greeted me every time I popped in and out of my room. The hotel is built into the side of the rock. The rooms are super cool - reminded me of The Hewing in Minneapolis. Gorgeous shower and bathroom in general. Aveda products (thank you!!) They have a great patio on main street and neighbor businesses include a coffee shop and restaurant. They valet for $30/night (I stayed 2 week nights) but instead, I parked across the street in a pay lot for $20 for 2 days ($5 per 12 hours). You can't pay with an app so I had to physically go to the surface lot 4 times. But back to the Lora, I HIGHLY recommend!

Superior service. Excellent room. Beautiful view. We stayed in a Premium King room, on the 3rd floor with a view of main street/the river.

I've stayed in hundreds of hotels for work, tour & leisure, and this was my single best hotel experience ever.

(Make sure you reserve parking ahead of time - but even with that, the front desk staff 'rearranged' the valet lot to accommodate our car. (a wedding group had commandeered the majority of the valet lot)).

Lora staff even brought a dining table up so my girlfriend and I could have dinner in our room (I provided my own dinnerware, candles & wine service, but Lora does do a package similar to this as an add on). I ordered 'to go' food from the Feller restaurant - which was also outstanding.

It was a perfect weekend in a beautiful city.

I got married in Stillwater in early January. We had our cocktail hour and dinner in the restaurant below (20 guests). They have a cute private dining room that fit our group perfectly. Lora did everything to make my wedding a perfect day. The pastry chef created an amazing cake for us that really was a work of art. The whole staff was accommodating and approachable. We would highly recommend this venue if you wanted to have a small wedding. Rooms were so cute and the beds were easily the most comfortable. I was able to sleep the night before my wedding. Everything about our stay made us feel like we were at home. Thanks so much Lora!

Loved our time here!!! Everyone was very nice, the location was fabulous, the bedding was heavenly, and the shower was perfect! I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful hotel. Loved its cool vibe and the stone structure.

I think that people who complain about pricing have to look at the location, the high-end finishes (super comfortable bed, linens, pillows, and that wonderful shower), and so I ignored those comments on reviews before my stay, and I'm glad I did. I do think their pricing is fair.

I stayed in April. 2021. A snow storm hit on the day I was to check in. I called after trying all freeways but with car pileups; I was able to change my reservation for the following day. Everyone is so kind. Renea in the restaurant is so kind and got me fresh hot coffee..The young lady at the front desk, and the gentlemen at the front also. I forget his name. He loves the north shore also. I am always excited to go come to my little spa get away. The sheets are wonderful, the shower is huge. The food is exquisite. Never a bad meal. Looking forward to seeing you this summer again and fall.....Thank you for always keeping the quality high. Hugs...Shelley

Great hotel and a great value! We stayed overnight as a local “staycation” to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff was kind and helpful; free bottled water was always available in the lobby.
The rooms are on the smaller side, but very well appointed, comfortable and organized. We loved the decor; it was also very clean. They bathroom was amazing and the shower was significantly larger than what is typically found in a hotel.
Our room did not have a built-in closet, but offered plenty of open hanging and drawer space. They also offer a “pillow menu” and are pet friendly. Depending on the location of the room, there may not be a view.
Due to covid-19, valet parking was not available. The hotel parking lot is located behind the building and up the hill; it might not be easy area to access for anyone with mobility concerns. It can be reached from inside the hotel by taking the elevator to the 4th floor, but there is no re-entry.

My husband who travels an insane amount for work and has stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world said this was in his top 5. It's lovely from top to bottom and I really enjoyed our stay. One tiny complaint is the heavy scent in the reception area. It was strong enough to give me a headache and I avoided it at all costs. Everything else - the decor, the convenience, the beds, the service, the bikes we rented, the location - was top notch.

Beautiful space! We had drinks and small plates at the bar, Long Goodbye. The beet hummus was amazing. The bartenders were knowledgeable and attentive. The food arrived really quickly.
We looked around the main dining room and the hotel lobby. Simply stunning! We’re excited to come back and stay at the hotel.

My sister's wedding reception was at the Lora hotel and we also used the hotel for getting ready for the wedding. The rooms were gorgeous and so comfortable. The staff was so helpful and kind during our family's special day! The food and bar was exceptional! So delicious! Can't wait to return to the this gem!

We had an awesome experience at the Lora when we stayed there last month. The staff - from the valet to the desk staff to housekeeping - are all phenomenal. We've recommended the hotel to all of our friends. If you want a nice get away close to the Cities you'd do well to keep the Lora on your list!

Had a girl's weekend and we loved our experience at the Lora Hotel. Great location in Historic Downtown. We sat on the patio/ fire where we played games until midnight. Great hotel for all types of people. Plus: hotel was built into the caves which made for fantastic rooms.

The hotel was in a great location, it is beautiful inside. Loved the decor and styling of the rooms. Staff was fantastic. Bed and bedding were wonderful, the pillows were a little firm for my liking but I am super picky about my pillows and often bring my own.

The best experience I’ve had with our bulldog ever! The staff are warm and friendly. The bed is incredible to sleep in and who doesn’t love a large walk in shower with a rain shower head. I enjoyed the coffee shop next store as well, the service was above and beyond. Be sure and walk up the Stillwater stairs, it’s an experience not for the faint hearted!

This hotel is only about a year old and is very cute and clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I travel a lot for work so I have been in my share of hotels. The only negative is I wish they had a regular coffee machine. The Nepresso is a nice option but ,very confusing. I made a huge mess trying to figure it out. Maybe clearer directions? I just know I would prefer regular coffee. I had to go down to the front desk to let them know that I thought I broke the machine and the woman was super nice and gave me a voucher for a free coffee to the coffee place connected to the hotel.
Aside from the coffee debacle I would definitely recommend this very nice hotel! Brick & Bourbon Restaurant was fantastic too and in walking distance from the Lora.

My husband and I stayed here for one year wedding anniversary as a little staycation. The room was beautiful, tastefully decorated and thoughtfully put together. The bedding was crisp and comfortable. The staff were very attentive and even left us a congratulatory bottle of wine and sweet note in our room. We ate lunch at Feller and the food was delicious. The decor was beautiful and over all very pleasing. We loved the enthusiasm of everyone working In both the restaurant/bar and hotel. Such a beautiful place. If you were a tourist in the area, THIS IS THE SPOT TO STAY! Close to everything in charming dt Stillwater! Enjoy!

Excellent boutique hotel in the heart of Stillwater! We stayed here for a bridal shower, and it was fantastic. The rooms are modern and very nice, and the staff was great in helping to coordinate the shower. The hotel has a coffee shop, a restaurant, and a bar. The decor is awesome with lots of exposed stone and brick!

I hesitate to write this, because I don't want to share our new favorite spot for fear of it booking up! Seriously, if you want a fabulous and unique space to stay - look no further. We were so excited to find a high-end hotel in Stillwater, and in such a unique space. Truly, we've never seen anything like it.

It's built into the bluffs, and the walls are made up of refurbished stone and unique wall papers and paints. The entire facility has the ambiance of old meets new, stones and warm accents. You won't regret staying here!
