Latham '76 Diner

A quaint place that exudes a country charm to it! The food was delicious ! The pancakes and the milk shakes were amazing! The waffle could be made more crispier but overall wonderful place! Highly recommend it especially with kids!

Great meal, outstanding actually. Service was very good as well. I will eat here as often as possible. Pricing was very fair.

Food is really good here. The Latham 76 Diner has an extensive menu and many great choices for deserts. Portions are very large and the prices are fair. Service was very good. You can see why this is a popular Capital Region restaurant. Great look to the diner as well!

Typical diner. Tons of seating and huge menu. Fast service and food comes out quick. I think some of their prices were a little high but the portions are good size. I’d recommend their omelettes and home fries!

Classic diner experience, but with better than classic quality of food

This is the only place in the area where we have found perfect Eggs Benedict: Nearly-set-but-still-runny yolk, robust but not overwhelming hollandaise, and flavorful (not too greasy) potatoes. Their eggs benedict is listed under "house specials" so we are hopeful that this isnt a fluke!

Have been here twice in the last couple of weeks, once for breakfast and another for dinner: All food has come out as perfectly as you can expect from a nonspecialty diner. Whoever is cooking in the back really seems to be on top of it and really cares about the food

Service was amazing during weekend/lunch but was remarkably slow later at night. Also oddly, our first waitress told us (unprompted) that we could pay at the table-- but the waitress at dinner disappeared after we received the bill. Took us a beat to realize she was never coming back to collect the card, but not a big deal.

This is our favorite diner in the area, so far. Will 100% be back

Had some dine in breakfast before and it was great. Fresh and the fruit is fresh, not canned. Got take out burgers for me and my wife today. I got the Signature. For everyone tired of other restaurants and fast food making burgers smaller, this is AMAZING. Get the Signature!! Very much a giant hand formed patty exactly as they claim! Perfection. If you've wondered where to get a burger from then look no further. Everything else here is great too.

I hold a special place in my heart for the 76 diner. I grew up here, and because of that, am always treated like family. I would spend hours and hours just hanging out and getting to know the staff, all while enjoying a very well priced high quality diner meal. I still stop in from time to time, but I sure do miss the late night hours. My only complaint is that they are no longer open 24 hours a day.

Been coming here while living in Latham. they serve breakfast all day. Everything on the menu is good. The staff is nice and fast with their service. I highly recommend everyone to give this place a try.

Went early on a Friday, and it was my first diner in so long. Back on Long Island I went to them so much so this was already off to a good start. I love silver dollar pancakes and I asked for them with bananas and while I always want them cooked inside, I always assume they will be on top… but these ones each had 2 pieces of banana perfectly mixed in! And it was a huge portion, I knew it was the same price as a full stack of pancakes but still did not imagine them to be so plentiful. The home fries were delicious too… I wish the large was larger though. And to take home, I got the chocolate mousse which was very much enjoyable too. The service was very nice.

76 Diner is such a staple for a reason. Onion rings are some of the best around, and the turkey club is just as good. French toast was nice and crispy around the edges, but soft in the middle. Sometimes parking can be a pain, but it’s not horrible.
I went here as a kid with my parents, and I’m happy it’s still going strong so that I can take my daughter here.

Michele is the best! She made me and my family feel special. The food and environment was wonderful. Love the fact that there are UV sanitizing stations at the table. Oh! The mac and cheese is a must-have.

As you walk in,you see a beautiful decor.Tiffany lights everywhere. Great quality booths. This is our second trip back as we pass through going to Vermont .We had breakfast on our first trip and everything done perfectly..food hot and quick service. Huge English muffins. This time we had their Turkey club and a cheeseburger club. Turkey club was my preference as it was loaded with turkey. French fries hot and tasty.Their menu is extensive and priced reasonably. Portions more than enough. Staff very friendly and efficient. Good Boston creme pie. Extensive dessert selections. Clean bathrooms. Will definitely be back on our next trip up this way.

Great food and service! My first time there in a long time. I had the American Classic Burger and my friend had the Thai Chicken Salad.

Me and my spouse have been coming here for years now. They have good food and kind staff. Every new dish I try never disappoints, and the prices are pretty nice for the quality of food presented. Multiple entrances, for if the front stairs are too much, you can use the back door which are located by bathrooms.

We love this place, but so does everyone else! LOL! It’s always very busy and sometimes the wait is too long, especially if you’re hungry! But the food is yummy and the service is usually very good.

If you are looking for an excellent family sized meal, this is the place. Everything I have ordered had been excellent. I have had the stuffed sole, baked salmon, sausage and shrimp pasta, Roma wrap, and Thai chicken salad. Wow... The French onion soup is out of this world and a must try!

I stopped by the diner today with my girlfriend to visit my old friends. I moved out of the area about 15 years ago, and the last time I visited was pre-Covid. This is the first time my gf has been upstate NY and not only was she stunned by the beautiful scenic drive up, she loved every little thing about the 76 diner, from the decor, to the cleanliness, the friendly staff, to the absolute deliciousness and freshness of the food. She seriously now wants us to reconsider buying a home in PA after visiting the 76 diner. She said her lamb chops were the best she’s ever had in her life, cooked to perfection and exquisitely moist and tender. She had a few bites of my Chicken Athenian dish which she said was amazing. She said the broccoli was cooked perfectly like at home, not over cooked and mushy like most restaurants and the mashed potatoes were as tasty and fresh as could be. As we were leaving I grabbed two of the complimentary cookies, one for her and one for me. I could see as she took her first bite while approaching our car in the parking lot that she loved them. She was upset with me for not taking a few more! I told her they taste the same way they did 30 years ago when I first tried them. Although Alex, the original owner is no longer with us, his son Tony, has no doubt followed in his father’s footsteps to continue his great legacy. The 76 diner was the best diner back in the 90’s when I was around and still is 30 years later!

This is our favorite local place to go when we want home cooking without the cooking. There is rarely a wait, they can accommodate so many. Their service staff are all friendly and efficient. The food is almost always AWESOME. A little variation now and then depending on cooks in the kitchen or source of baked goods, but nowhere's perfect - and this is our Go-To Place, our Feel-Good Eats Place. Thank you 76 :-)

My first time visiting and it was awesome! The burger (I think it was Cajun or Chipotle) I got was the most delicious I've ever had. I definitely will visit again soon! ❤ thank you!!!!

Nice diner with great food, if looking for something quick and good would recommend it. I would say this is a great breakfast joint and didn't disappoint
