It's a beautiful place to visit. It's semi handicap accessible. Handicap can not access the area right down by the water. But they get a lovely view from the upper area of the falls.

I came across these falls when searching for waterfalls on the map and saved the destination for when I’d be in the area. It seems like there are maybe a couple of other view points but I liked that this had a paved walk towards a lovely panoramic view. The walk is short, about .5mi round trip. There are stairs (85 steps) that one would have to descend/ascend. If that’s not an option for some visitors, there are a couple of view points from the top of the park when you first cross the bridge over the Mohawk River. This was a quiet spot to relax, enjoy the view, fish if you desired or have a lunch. Handicap accessible fishing spots from the top, and an additional location down the stairs. I sat and enjoyed the view for some time as I watched birds flying and a few Great Blue Herons along the shoreline of the river eating. Such a lovely experience.

These Falls are worth seeing if you are in the area. Very impressive. Water flow depends on time of year

There's a parking lot across the street with free parking to access the park. There are 84 steps down to the falls, so be mindful of your ability to climb them! We've visited in May and in July, with May having the more impressive waterfall but it's still worth the trip in July.

Beautiful spot on the river, surprisingly quiet. We took some nice photos and found a bench in the shade. The flood plain access was locked but it was interesting to read about the history of the canals. The stairs down were a little wobbly, though.

Beautiful park and great view of the falls. Although it is not a very famous or touristic area, it is highly recommended to visit it for a short walk and great photo spots.

Very peaceful and relaxing. You can also rent the cdphp bikes around the area and go for a bike ride. This is a nice place to take a break from work or something to do early in the morning before you start your day. I would come here to read books all the time.

Visited in mid September. Great small park and learning of the history of this place. Man made canals, etc. Parking is free across the street, walk over the bridge and see the waterfall views.

Very good views. The informational panels were interesting and it was a great addition to our trip.
The stairs down to the further and lower look have a slight wobble and so does the first bridge. It's nothing that's too bad though. I'm scared of heights and slowly made my way down.

Loved the waterfall only wish the stairs to get closer was open. Really pretty views and perfect for pictures. Gates are everywhere for safety but are easy to cut out of pics.

This is beautiful water falls with a short walk down a flight of stairs. This is the second largest waterfall west of the Rockies second only too Niagara Falls.

Have come here twice in the last 2 weeks and it's just so pretty to watch and peaceful. Wish I would have known about it as a teenager. There's a few benches and picnic tables around so picking up lunch and having it there would be a great option. There's a way to get closer to the base of the falls down some stairs, but I've yet to venture down there. I'd advise wearing good shoes. Park opens at dawn and closes a little before dusk. It has been closing at 6:30 as of recently. And will be closed from November 1st to May 1st I believe.

My Favorite Place To Go In Cohoes. Great Scenery To Take Pictures. The Falls View Park Was A Great Addition To Get A Better View Of The Cohoes Falls. This Is A Must See! Absolutely Free To Get In. 2 Different Spots To Look From. If The One Is Closed Go To The Opposite Side Of The Falls Near The Apartment Buildings.

Beautiful falls. Wish a few more trees were cut down to help with the view. Be sure to take the stairs down to the bottom for the best view!

The falls were beautiful, there is perhaps a hundred steps and a significant hill that need to be walked down to get the best views, but some views are available with just a walk.
