New York Epilepsy Medicine PC

My daughter has been seeing Dr Collins after me being so utterly disappointed by multiple neurologists at Albany Med. If I could give he and his staff a 10, I would. Dr Collins has always been patient, kind and informative. After several years of my daughters epilepsy getting worse, he was finally able to control her seizures with the correct combination of medication. He has always been responsive to my questions in the office as well as phone calls with concerns. He continues to closely monitor my daughter. It's not too often that you find a provider that works with a parent as well as Dr Collins. His staff is equally as accommodating and more than once they have gone above and beyond when I need assistance with numerous things regarding my daughters specific situation. Everyone always has a smile on their face and I love the presentation of the new office. We feel so much more connected to the Dr and staff. I recommend Dr Collins to anyone needing a neurologist/epiliptologist as he has won my favor and trust many times over.

In 20 years, I have been through my share of doctors, and Dr. Jess Collins has been my neuro for close to a decade with good reason. His approach to medicine has always been top notch, compassionate, prompt, and precise. His staff Laura and Courtney are the same great women he's worked with for years and they treat you like absolute family. No one else even comes close!

I actually have less seizures because of these people.

professional, knowledgeable, empathetic, and respectful. Dr. Jess Collins is the best Epileptologist in NY state, he is the expert in the treatment by VNS which is the only thing that worked for my son. whenever we visit Dr,Collins, he gives us all the time needed to get my autistic son who is a wheelchair bound in, answers all of our questions, and replies to all my phone calls. I know that we are in safe hands with him and wouldn't go anywhere other than his practice where we feel welcomed and not judged.

I love Dr Collins. He was the first Epilepsy Dr that listened to me and what I was dealing with and prescribed the correct medication after years of dealing with Dr's that don't listen. I am finally seizure free!

Great Dr. Seen him a few times now much better then going to albany medical or anything like that if you have a condition and they give you a new resident every 2 years. Also they do live video chats (if you're insurence cover's it] of course witch most do I think is amazing if you dont want to go to the office that day or anything else

Great doctor

I put a one but if I could have put a zero or a negative I would have. This doctor is awful, he sent me to the hospital by messing up my medications. I almost died and had non stop seizures. When I had a follow up appointment I was curious as to what happened and asked him as many questions as I could. Jess Collins was extremely defensive and replied with "I don't have the time to teach you all there is to know about being an epileptologist in one appointment session."

Worst Neurologist ever! After examining me for approximately 10 minutes, in an office with just two chairs (no bed and looks just like for example: lawyers office) he tells me nothing he sees is wrongith me even though I have had Labyrinthitis and vertigo for 3 1/2 years. If he had checked my medical file, he would have seen trips to urgent care and the doctor with my symptoms. He said I can pay for Vestibular Therapy out of my pocket and he wasn't going to refer me to a Vestibular Therapist. No amount of crying would sway him. Horrible bedside manner. Now I have to pay out of pocket for a Neurologist. Medical won't cover another one. I understand that the insurance company is probably giving him a great kickback if he does absolutely nothing! Vestibular therapy is expensive. Don't ever see this doctor! I do not understand why he received good reviews elsewhere. My guess is he paid for them.

You are lying. You posts untruths. I only got upset when you told me to pay for my own Vestibular Therapy. Also, you are breaking the law with your last post. I have done a print screen and will be contacting a lawyer as well as the New York State Medical Review board tomorrow.

I have not had any sleep regarding what you posted about me yesterday. Take down your response. It is public for everyone to see. I do not care about the public knowing I have Labyrinthitis and vertigo, but you posting about other things that are very much illegal and highly unprofessional! It only proves what a horrible doctor you are and justifies what I posted in the first place. Again, I will be contacting a lawyer today as well as the Medical Review board. Take it down!
