I recently had the pleasure of meeting Michelle and getting a cut and color. From the moment I stepped into the salon, or more precisely, from the moment I called to make an appointment, I felt welcomed and at ease.

For years now I have been looking for someone who could work with me and my changing hair needs. I moved to the Capital region from NYC over 10 years ago, had gone to multiple salons and have not been able to find that person up till now.

Here’s why I highly recommend the salon and Michelle,

1. Attentiveness: Michelle truly pays attention to her clients. She took the time, and I mean truly took the time, to sit down with me and discuss my hair goals, lifestyle, and preferences. Her genuine interest in understanding my needs made me feel valued as a customer.

2. Listening Skills: Michelle is an active listener. She patiently listened to my hair concerns, style preferences, and any specific challenges I faced with my current hair. Her ability to absorb information and translate it into a customized plan was impressive.

3. Hair Evaluation: Michell conducted a thorough evaluation of my hair. She considered factors such as my hair type, texture, and current condition. Her expertise allowed her to identify areas that needed improvement and areas to pay attention to and change.

4. Face Shape and Complexion: What sets Michelle apart is her keen eye for aesthetics. She carefully assessed my face shape and complexion. Based on this analysis, she recommended a cut and color that would enhance my features and complement my overall look. I ended up loving the change of color and the precise cut, both of which, I feel, have taken years of my appearance.

I cannot speak highly enough about Music To My Hair!!! They matched my color preference perfectly and know how to cut curly hair!!! They completely brought back my curls after years of failed efforts on my part and by other salons. Also, the atmosphere is so warm and kind. Music To My Hair is absolutely the best salon in Albany. They really take their time here to give you the best haircut you will ever have for a great price compared to the other salons in the area. Michelle and Assad are very genuine and their salon is a luxurious and clean experience like no other in the region. They are amazing with both mens and women cuts and styles. I always get so many compliments after my appointment.

What makes them different is that there is no other place here with artists as trained about hair as these two. I was shocked after my first visit. Normally, you would have to travel to a major city and pay a fortune for services as good as theirs. They are masters in the art of hair and you will not find anywhere else this qualified nearby.

It is the best feeling when you find a hair salon you love and a hairstylist you can trust. I recently visited Music To My Hair for the first time and had the most wonderful experience! The salon is clean, bright and welcoming. Michelle was there to greet me with a smile as soon as I walked in the door. She and Asad are both so friendly and attentive to their clients. Michelle spent several minutes getting to know me, my hair and my hair goals before beginning the haircut and then she was so meticulous and took so much care in her work. I absolutely love my haircut!! I am dealing with hair loss issues and want to get my hair back to it's optimal health and I am confident that Michelle is the person who will help me do that. I can't wait to go back!!

A hidden gem! The salon is gorgeous and serene. Asad and Michelle are the warmest, nicest people. They are very professional and knowledgeable. They take time to consult to find the best cut and color for each individual. I get compliments every time I have my hair done!

I have been going to Music to My Hair since 2020. Michelle works magic. My first visit she worked with me to color correct my dark, highlighted and grown out hair back to my natural dirty blonde color. I have seen Michelle for trims, styling, coloring and blowouts since. Every time I leave Music To My Hair I leave more confident and feeling so beautiful. Michelle is amazing and a complete sweetheart. She really cares about he clients! Whenever I get my haircut I usually never have my mind made up about what I want. Asad always analyzes my hair and gives me a full run down of the situation. He gives an expert opinion on what I should do and what would look good and we go from there. Excellent people as well as an amazing and calming atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend!

Asad and Michelle are masters at what they do. Every haircut / styling that I've had for the last 8 years has been perfect. They pay attention to what you're looking for and add helpful advice, and as they are professionals / artist they have insight to what you need.

This great salon is hidden in plain sight which adds to its mystique. The salon itself is beautifully decorated, a tranquil place to be, and Asad and Michelle are both essentially artists, working with each client to create the best possible hairstyle for them. Plus, the salon is home to the most delightful dog, Gracie! What more could you ask?

Asad & Michelle are the absolute BEST!! I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. Their attention to detail is unmatched, and I always leave with exactly what I was looking for. This was my first time at Music To My Hair and I had such a great experience. Michelle and Asad are so genuine and instantly make you feel welcome. Michelle did an AMAZING job with my hair from cut to color. This was only my second time ever getting color done so I just wanted something subtle to jazz my hair up a bit. After a long 5+ year search and numerous quick cuts at drop in hair cut places, I’ve finally found the stylist I’ve been looking for in Michelle. I’ve had 2 appointments with her now, both with cut and color and I’ve been beyond pleased with her talents. I love my haircut and color ! Asad was super friendly and helpful and took time to analyze my hair before doing any coloring or cutting.
