Manchester Preserve Hiking Trails

Great area for a short hike and walk with dog
Quite some (large/uneven) steps to take. There is a trail with a bunch of steps leading to a nice elevated spot. I added some pics for clarity.
You can park in the neighborhood, west of the preserve. Or try at more uneven plot at Trabert Ranch/Manchester Rd.
There is a bench on one of the elevated areas in the center for nice viewpoint

Breathtaking! Nature left natural. Easy walking or running this well maintained trail has amenities such as restrooms and water. Interesting for kids with water fowl and museum. Even wide walking path.

Lots of trails, kind of confusing but still fun. Cool rock stairs and neighborhood parking. Beware of rattlesnakes though!!

Great place for short hikes, dog walk, and if you know the righ spot to watch the sunset. Watchout for the rattlesnakes and coyotes.

What a great trail. All the trails are well-maintained and clean. I was surprised how few people were walking on the trails for a Sunday early afternoon. Not a lot of trails around here that are not crowded. I highly suggest this trail.

Great little hidden gem. Lived in Encinitas for 20+ yrs and never knew about it. Nice hike, about 4miles loop. Some hills but not very aggressive. Easy getaway hike

This is my favorite place to run in the early morning. Some parts seem miles from the city. Other parts have views of a massive power line or the strange dead zone above it (land-fill?) But mostly it is a big a reserve of old chaparral free and clean, a mile across with several trail loops.

First time exploring the Manchester Preserve and would definitely recommend. Lots of routes and very well maintained. Easy to medium difficulty. Bring a hat and sunscreen, and water; it gets sunny!

Open space trails. If You like small animals and lots of birds, especially in the spring mornings. Late afternoon is a treat

It’s our favorite peaceful hike. Bikes are not allowed, hope people keep their dogs on leash, lots of bees and birds.
