I had a meeting in Carlsbad and on the way back I had to stop here. One to grab their many wonderful coffee beans and also a pumpkin seed muffin and a cappuccino. Their croissants are my mom’s favorite in town. The location is so precious. Kinda hidden but with a beautiful ocean view from the top of the hill. I mean, what else can I ask for? Coffee + View! You can also bring your computer and work from one of their many outdoor tables.

Came in from out of town and hands down the best coffee. Came here four days in a row. Staff is incredibly nice and kind. Cant wait to visit again!

Great Matcha. Great People. Great atmosphere. As an Encinitas local, I wanted to hate on another coffee shop opening up, and taking the place of the iconic Rhino Art. But, Lofty has slowly become an institution. I have lots of meetings out on the patio and really enjoy their various drinks and munchies. Thanks for being a big part of my community!

Hands down best coffee shop in SoCal! Great location, menu, quality of offerings & amazing service team. Aztec mocha is the go to drink, rich mocha with a cayenne bite, delicious & unique.

Great coffee with a neat view of the street!

My wife and I stopped by for some caffination on the road from Del Mar to Oceanside. Situated on a hill overlooking hwy 101, this coffee house and roastery offers great views of the cars passing by below from its ample patio seating. The three adorable dogs and the dog bowls we saw tell me this patio is pet friendly.

If you're looking for a spot away from the road noise, there is covered seating behind the main building.

I had the Kyoto cold brew, brewed through a fancy looking "Kyoto Tower," which was a 4 foot tall long-steeping apparatus imported from Japan. The theatre of this in the main ordering area is fabulous. The coffee had notes of chocolate on the finish and was served over ice in a mason jar.

My only regret wat that I did not order the same coffee in their "Cloudy with a chance of Coffee" beverage, which had a delicious, fluffy, whipped milk/vanilla concoction on top that added some much appreciated sweetness to the Tokyo cold brew.

I also had a sea salt chocolate chip cookie, which was fine. I wish I had tried one of their croissants instead.

Great coffee with a good view and a fun, pet friendly atmosphere. I will be back for one of those croissants!

Great little cafe with the most amazing, well presented açaí bowl and Turkish latte. Friendly service, great food and great coffee roast. The latte had a flower worked into the foam, the açaí bowl had raw, toasted coconut, in-house granola (gluten free), thin sliced bananas, and strawberries. Just the right touch of peanut butter. It was so good I can’t remember if it had a honey drizzle.

Aztec mocha with oat was spicy but very pleasant. Nice location, and seating situation. Freshly roasted beans can be purchased. Pastries and small bites are available. Road can be little noisy, bring your headhones if you are working/studying.

I recently was visiting the area. Walking down to the beach I found this great little coffee shop. It was busy but the wait was not long. My latte was delicious and don't forget the almond croissants fantastic! The staff was very friendly.

Super cute coffee shop off the 101. I had an iced London Fog which was amazing. The service is incredibly friendly. Lots of outdoor seating which we took advantage of on a lovely day. Definitely going to stop back next time we come through.

Delish coffee!!! The staff knows their stuff. Limited food menu, apparently there is another lofty across the street with a full menu. But I liked this one better. The patio is beautiful!!!

My friend brought me here because she loves their mochas. The chocolate is special and they make their own almond milk. It's her favorite coffee shop.

I was invited to get a coffee and work with a friend during the week in the summer. To be honest I had no idea this coffee shop was here! What a welcome surprise! Upon walking up I noticed a great amount of dog friendly seating and everything was very new and clean. I ordered a mocha with a sea salt chocolate chip cookie because who doesn't like a cookie. I realized once I ordered my coffee that it was a mocha with ganache. It was delivered to me at my table which was unexpected and once again was a great surprise. This is by far the fanciest mocha I've ever had and it did not disappoint. I'm by no means a coffee snob but I can tell when there is care taken in the making of anything. I will be going here again. Probably bring my dog next time.

Went here multiple times during our 2 week stay in the area. Great service every time. Great Coffee and a nice light food menu. Close to Moonlight beach...grab a coffee and walk the beach.

Top notch croissants, and the coffee is elegant and delightful. I have no idea why they have two locations right across the street from each other.🤣

Top notch craft coffee across the board. Kyoto cold brew is next level! Great açaí bowls, crafty avocado toasts, but will definitely be on the pricer side. Well worth it in my opinion. Enjoy!

Baristas are so kind. The crossings and pastries are delicious. And I love working from the outdoor area on a sunny day. The street can be a little loud if you’re making phone calls but overall great vibe
