Lofty Coffee Company

We were in Encitas visiting and found this coffe shop gem. The employees are fabulous and coffee/food is amazing!! We had the salted caramel latte and a sausage/egg croissant. It was delicious, best cup of coffee!!

To preface this, I will say, this place is expensive as heck. However, the food and drinks are EXCELLENT and delicious😋 We got a ceaser salad, 2 egg croissants, 1 caramel latte, and 1 lavander black tea, all I would order again😁

Had the Turkey and avocado, and a mocha. Both were so delicious. I was a big fan of the dog company that surrounded us.

The coffee was excellent. Best ive had in a week here in Cali. The Farro bowl was tasty as well (for how healthy it is). I liked how many vegan options there are and the service was good. Good ambience. Only negative is it is pricey but it's normal for a place like this.

In the last 2-3 years I have stopped at Lofty. I really like the coffee drinks, more so now that they started having oat milk a couple years back. The Açaí bowl is definitely my favorite food item here. Always so fresh and tastes so good. I rather get the açaí bowl here than dedicated açaí place. The ingredients are just better here. Staff is typically friendly. The train nearby makes a lot of noise, so it’s hard to concentrate at time but that’s not Lofty’s fault. This is location I typically go to but all other locations are very consistent across with price and quality of food.

Very nice and welcoming cofe shop. We got greated with a smile, little things like that separates some of these coffee shops around here. My latte was made to my liking. Clean simple and fast. Great job will add to my favorite's list

When there are lots of people at a place it usually means one thing.
Cappuccinos were very good & plentiful. She got some pastries which also were very tasty.
Patio perfectly placed for the morning sun.

Lofty is a delightful spot to have a coffee. They have two locations in Encinitas across the street from each other. I love going to the roasters, as you are able to view out at the Coast Hwy from above! Great coffee! If you want food though, the other location would be the spot!

Me and my husband go to allot of coffee shops and today when we went to Lofty we truly had one of the best experiences ever! Aubrey when I ordered she listened and made recommendations!!! She even went as far to go from the cashier to making our drinks because she knew I wanted it a specific way!!! She explained the process of cold brew because we had a bunch of questions and was extremely kind. Today so often when going to coffee shops people get irritated with questions or wanting your coffee a certain way! She was extremely attentive and went out of her way to give us what we were looking for!! We are from Az and plan to go out of our way to stop in every time we are in town!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Had a take-away flat white, and the coffee was strong with great aftertaste. Right after the coffee I went to the other side of the street to buy a bag of “Keeping it Classy Espresso” whole beans. Hopefully it tastes as good as this one!

Lofty Coffee is a hands down must go to whenever you are in SoCal. The service has always been outgoing, offers recommendations, and knowledgeable about their food and beverages. For someone who needs milk alternative options they make their own almond milk and hazelnut milk which you can order for an up charge. They also provide GF food options. I've tried the GF banana nut muffin and chocolate chip cookie and both were enjoyable.

This coffee shop spoils me. I'm fortunate enough to live across the street and they set the bar waaaay high. I always end up disappointed anywhere else.
Organic everything, best smoothest coffee, favorite cold brew, housemade nut milks, awesome tea selection, delicious salads and pasties.
I'll break it down and give you the local secret... when line is uber long, make the mad dash across street to their roasting location. So quiet and peaceful over, rarely a line. But no to go cups, limited menu. And only open 9-4.

Best Coffee I’ve had since moving to San Diego. I tried their single origin espresso option as a shot and a macchiato(I believe it was Ethiopian but I can’t remember for sure.) It was smooth and sweet. A little tangy, but balanced and not bitter. The macchiato was good, but the espresso was so sweet and smooth it didn’t really punch through even that small amount of milk. That’s to be expected though, most other roasters and shops I’ve been to here have been pretty dark with their roasts or over extracted with their espresso but that wasn’t the case at Lofty. I’ll definitely be coming back and hopefully picking up some beans to take home with me.

Had a great experience at Lofty, Carlsbad over the New Year, so good we had to try again on a few other days.
We were visiting from England and it was great to discover a place with such friendly staff, dedicated to serving such fabulous food and drink

Lofty-Style NOLA is delicious!! Reminded me of getting the Cinnabon drinks as a kid (whatever they were called).

An on-site coffeehouse with a roaster is noticeable in every sip of my latte I had. Support local businesses and go have a cup of amazing!!

The cold brew here is off the chain. You will feel borderline uncomfortable by how caffeinated it is. But if that's what you are looking for, this place gets it done. The staff is also really friendly and it's got a prime location on the 101 by moonlight beach.

This is the only place I can get my peanut butter sandwich 🤙🏽

We are from the Pacific NW and we always get to Lofty Coffee when visiting the North County beach communities. Best coffee and food combo on the West Coast.
