Came in for some Pozole on a chilly night while charging our car and definitely exceeded our expectations… Carlos is a great attentive bar tender, genuinely took great care of us, went above and beyond and even wrapped out leftovers… The house salsa is phenomenal lots of fresh ingredients you can taste. Thank you Carlos!

Bryan is such a good bartender. He makes my lemon drop just perfect and super chilled knows how a girl likes them!! Keep them coming Bryan 😊

Best Margaritas we've found in Escondido. I appreciate that they don't use mass-produced sweet & sour mix. Service was great.

Very good! We had the molcajete and the shrimp and steak plate. Food was great. Bar has a great selection of beers and drinks. My wife had the skinny margarita. Excellent!

This place is a personal favorite spot for work lunches or happy hours with friends after a long work day or week. The servers and bartenders are kind and often remember returning customers. Make sure to check out their life music nights. Door covers apply and help provide security too so its not too bad. Arrive earlier and you can avoid the cover completely. Parking is plentiful and free. 🙌🏾

The good here is great. The Baja shrimp is a personal favorite. The portions are pretty large so we're always too stuffed for desert.

After attempting to go to a larger, more popular Mexican place on Father's Day we decided to try out Sierra Madre rather than waiting an hour. It was a great choice because we absolutely LOVED it. Some of the best Mexican food we've ever had. Great service and amazing salsa that wasn't spicy but full of flavor. Sébastien was an excellent server who even introduced our kids to Horchata for the first time. If we lived in the area, this would be our go to all day long!!!

Though it averages a 4.1, it should be higher! Everyone in my group thought their food was very tasty, the service was great and had an overall great experience. Definitely going back!

Our go to favorite place. We are here at least one a week. Fantastic bartendenders and staff, cool owner and great food - let me tell you these guys know how to cook good Mexican food! If you like Pizole this is where it is at! Oh and the best Mexican Candy you will ever have

The food at this restaurant was superb! I can still taste the ceviche:). The service was top notch and my night was filled with smiling faces, can’t wait to come back again! Definitely put this on your to do list!!

We have been coming here for quite awhile now, and we enjoy it every time. The food is so good and very flavorful. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. We really need some restaurants that are not part of a big chain here in our city, and this restaurant gives you that local feeling. It’s nice that you can sit in the bar area and enjoy sports, or sit in the dining area.

It's too bad we we're only visiting SD otherwise I would have really loved to check out their little night club they have at night's! We found this restaurant through yelp. I ordered the shrimp fajitas that unfortunately were not well seasoned and the shrimp were very rubbery. The al pastor tacos were really good. So was the Cali burrito, and the red cheese enchiladas! The carnitas plate was also very good and well portioned off. I loved the bottomless chips and salsa. The salsa was really fresh and tasted really good! They are definitely very courteous with their alcohol mixed drinks!! I ordered the Paloma, really great flavor and I also ordered the sweet candy watermelon drink and tasted just like the mexican chilli tamarind covered lollipop(very sweet)! At around 9 pm this restaurant turns into a small nightclub for people who are 21yrs and over!

I sat at the bar and had appetizers and dinner. Oh, my, goodness! The food was some of the best I've ever had in my travels. If your a vegetarian, they can accomadate! And Carlos, the bartender, was professional, courteous and pleasant. I would recommend this establishment as one of the best in Escondido!
