The food and service are excellent. The chef personally makes sure people like what they're eating. Had a great conversation about the dish I ate, he was into details about the history, the sourcing and preparation. He was very kind to tell me where to get the best ingredients for something I inquired about.

Will be going here again with a much larger group this time. I want to try all the menu items. James, at the bar was very attentive, and the best.

World class cooking is the only way to describe it. Not to mention, you will feel as if you are amongst the cobble streets of Florence, Italy.

The atmosphere impress me and my guests each and every time. Indoor seating and outdoor seating is equally stunning. Highest quality cooking and highest quality ingredients keep us coming back for more. We can’t get enough of this restaurant gem.

Thank you Pino’s Restaurant for the fantastic meal and ambiance once again!

Bon Appetit!

This restaurant came highly recommended and I Totally Agree!!!! I suggest reservations, but we had no problem getting a seat outside. I had the tomato watermelon salad with salmon. So good. The peppers in the salad were a tasty surprise. I shared the fries and they could have been a meal on their own; so yummy! The star of the show was the scallops! So tender and full of flavor. I will be back and try more of the menu.

Have a date with my daughter who goes CMU, this is one of the best pasta I’ve ever had. Great favors and texture. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a great Italian dish.

All I can say is wow- this place is phenomenal! Easily my favorite restaurant in the city. My husband and I just went for the first time and we were blown away by the top-notch service and delicious food/wine/cocktails. This place seriously has the best service in a restaurant I’ve ever experienced. In addition, the Chef is friendly and makes you feel at home. He has created a unique dining experience in Pittsburgh. I can’t believe we didn’t know about this place sooner. We can’t wait to go back!

Quant little restaurant in a cutie patootie neighborhood. Food was spectacular, yummm 😋. We had the most informative young woman as our waitress, very knowledgeable on the menu and Pittsburgh. It was a birthday meal and she supplied birthday bread 🍞🥳😉

Such sweet workers and the owner made sure we had the BEST time. Gave us dessert on the house for my sisters birthday and a tour of the restaurant. Food was amazing and will definitely be back!

We did a random walk-in for dinner, but were really impressed by how good the food was. Truffled burrata blends well with tomato and mushrooms, and scallop buttery and juicy as always. We had salmon and their most popular bolognese pasta, both taste amazing, especially the risotto came with salmon.

Pretty good food and nice atmosphere. We started off with the burrata and asiago garlic bread, and I ordered the dish simply called "Shrimp" that is actually shrimp linguine in a lobster cream sauce. We had a good meal and I expect to be back!

I will say that I found the two apps pretty authentic, in that they resembled my family's cooking. I'll warn that the burrata is not a separable part of the dish—it comes with the burrata dissolved into a sauce around it, only the mozzarella skin being easily extracted. This is a problem if your friends and family don't want to touch those oh-so-icky mushrooms. Well, more for me. The others were still able to eat around it, and regardless, the garlic bread was a hit.

The shrimp dish was good, but if I had to render some constructive criticism, the blistered tomatoes were an overpowering flavor in the sauce. I couldn't even taste the lobster for it. And personally, I find parsley an overrated herb. I'd have vastly preferred basil or even oregano or rosemary; I think the chef was going for a mild flavor, but I hate mild flavors. (For me, you might as well have just added lawn clippings, but this is very harsh criticism considering I still thoroughly enjoyed the meal and cleaned the plate). It's clear to me I need to try more of Chef Pino's cooking, and I'll certainly be back with family.

Update: my second time through, I tried the carbonara with added shrimp, and it was to die for. I'd come back over and over again just for that.

My family went here last night to celebrate a birthday, and we are so glad we did! Everyone loved their meals - we all had different pasta dishes and the pasta was homemade, and all the ingredients were fresh. We shared a Margherita pizza to start which was also amazing. I would say this is the best Italian food I have had in Pittsburgh. Our server was wonderful and gave great suggestions. I can’t wait to go back!

A chef owned restaurant.
This was our first time visiting this place. The waitress told us they have a "scratch kitchen", everything they serve is made from scratch. We ordered Italian fries, Grecian salad, tomato and pasta soup with olive oil, tomatoes and basil spaghetti and baked cod dish. Everything was tasty. The cod fish was served with potatoes, black and green olives, capers and tomatoes in a clay plate, looks like a Moroccan cuisine inspired Tagine dish. Very flavorful especially with olives.
After the main dishes were served, the chef came out to ask how the food. I complimented him and mentioned that the spaghetti is cooked al dente. His response? "I'm Italian, I take pride of my pasta".
Loved this place, the atmosphere, the service and the food.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here! The service was excellent- the waitstaff was extremely attentive and helpful. We had the scallops appetizer, which was honestly the best scallops we've ever had - so tender and delicately flavorful. The waitress recommended a delicious Slovenian Sauvignon Blanc that paired perfectly with my husband's sea bass and my shrimp fettuccine. We loved all of the dishes. We definitely recommend it!

This quiet gem is a lovely place to enjoy a fine Italian meal. The homemade pasta is perfect, the flavor combinations are well considered. The staff is all friendly and informative. It's great to see them work as a team to execute well timed flawless service. While this was our first visit, it certainly won't be our last.

Wonderful staff, a bit short due to COVID, but very pleasant. The food was delicious and the chef made an appearance at the table to ensure everyone was happy. This is definitely a spot to check out!

We've been here twice and both times it's been amazing. The food is so good and you can just taste that it's made with care. We've also always had attentive service with great wine recommendations. We will definitely be continuing to come here.

This place is delicious. You need to order the Brussels sprouts, the fresh Caesar salad, any beer on draft, the meatball (juicy), and get the fire cooked pizza. There’s a large wine selection. If you want a specific table call to reserve. Otherwise there might be walk in space.

This is a delightful gem of a restaurant. We came here with a large party of 6 on a Tuesday and they were easily able to accommodate us. The fresh pasta is fantastic. Our table sampled almost every pasta dish. The drinks menu is also inspired and their holiday wine specials are fun too. Liz was a fantastic server who gave is personalized service.
