Any Mac Miller fan probably knows of this place or has at least heard his song with its title. This was the main reason my girlfriend and I went by, just to pay respects and see it. What we got was so much more. For one, the sandwiches and wraps were delicious and were served very quickly by friendly staff. The inside and out were charming, filled with historic pictures of the place as well as artwork from Ronnie, a son of the shop owners who bought and named the place in the 40s. We got to meet Ronnie by chance, as he still has a studio on the second floor where he paints. He remembers serving Mac sandwiches when he was a kid. There were many other locals in and around the shop who also seemed glad to just chat and pass along good vibes (nice to meet you Harold and Water). The newest owner though, Dave, really sealed the whole deal for us. He was super energetic and friendly, even giving us a tour of the place and taking our picture behind the counter. I saw him give others tours as well, all on his own good time, and he seemed to make everyone feel like they’d won an exclusive inside look at the market and it’s nearly 100 year history. He keeps a notebook there for visitors to write a few words to Mac, and this book is given to Mac’s mother each time it fills up. I learned a ton and left feeling fuller, physically and mentally. I can’t thank Dave enough for our own experience and for what he’s doing to keep the market’s rich and varied history alive. So incredibly grateful for this unexpected but wonderful gift. Anything you need, you can find it at the market.

What a special experience our family had at the Frick Park Market. We stopped out front after they closed for a photo op and the owners came down from the upper office and opened up the market to allow us to see it. Dave and his wife were incredibly hospitable, gave us a tour, shared the 100+ year history and shared some Mac Miller stories. What a gift this was as we traveled in from Arizona. Thank you so much for your kindness!

Our stop here was the highlight of the trip to Pittsburgh. The staff went out of their way to provide a genuine and welcoming experience. This place is hallowed ground. Even got to write a message for Mac Milers mom to read.

I am baffled by anyone who would consider giving Frick Park Market anything less than five stars. On top of the sandwiches tasting amazing, the owners are the most pleasant people you will meet. We were immediately greeted by the owners and given a background of the shop and area. The Mac Miller tribute is amazing as well.
It is adorable inside and out! I sooo recommend checking this place out when you are in the area whether its for a sandwich or even ice cream!

Excellent neighborhood market with high quality deli items and ice cream. The owners are super friendly and go out of their way to provide a friendly atmosphere and great food. They serve meals to-go on T, W, Th--delicious and generous portions. So glad to have them in the neighborhood!

To say it was a magical experience visiting Frick Park Market wouldn’t even come close to describing how wonderful it was! David who now owns Frick Park Market, graciously showed us around while telling us the history of the charming store. David showed us all the Mac Miller pictures and gave us a story for each of those. He also happily offered to take pictures of us behind the counter and in front of the store! We ordered some breakfast sandwiches that we ate outside, David even turned on some Mac Miller for us to bump to! The food and vibes were a 10/10 experience. David was absolutely lovely and anyone who has an opportunity to stop by should! Don’t forget to leave a message for Macs mom, Karen in the notebook at Frick Park Market!

Visited w my son who is a huge Mac Miller fan. The owner, Dave, immediately welcomed us in and showed us all around, told us the history of the store, offered to take our pictures, even played Mac Miller on the speakers for my son while he ate his sandwich. We learned a lot of interesting facts we didn't know and it just felt like we were talking to old friends. There was even a notebook where you could write a message to Mac's mom. I can't say enough good things about our experience there.

The staff - one of the best. Indescribable friendliness, all around, from everyone. Including those standing in line with me.
The food - HOLY COW. I stepped outside of my comfort zone on this one and had the BEST possible experience taking food out of any establishment. David, the current owner, had just brought in fresh tomatoes from the garden in the back as I was waiting in line, and had such a extraordinary looking outdoor dining area which I still need to check out in full.
Served popcorn while waiting in for my sandwich (by no means a wait necessarily, spend as much time as you can here)

Everything about this place is perfect. Dave is the nicest man ever. He is so excited to welcome out of town Mac Miller fans. He told me about all the locations around the store that other music videos were filmed and the history of the store itself.

"Anything you need, you can find it at the market" - Mac
When I visited, I had the opportunity to meet and chat with Ron Fuchs, the son of the original owners of the Market! He and I talked for about 1.5-2 hours about the market, the history of the neighborhood, and Mac Miller. If you have a chance, I would seek him out (maybe ask management if he's around) because he is so friendly and warm and encapsulates the welcoming feeling the market offers in a single person. Hope to visit again soon!

The owner is great. Gave us a free tour and free popcorn to go with. The sandwiches were tasty, they have a fresh herbal garden in the back they use for their menu. Highly recommend stopping by here if you’re visiting Pittsburgh.

Out of all the places Pittsburgh has to offer. Frick Park Market is my favorite. You can't get such a unique, historic, and friendly experience anywhere else. The front and back sitting areas are full of history and life! The food was reminded me of a home cooked meal. You walk in and feel like family. A must visit for anyone in the area.

We came across this market by accident while on vacation. It turned out be a fascinating place with a long history. The owner showed us around and told us stories about the building and previous owners. Did not get a chance to try the deli or sit in the back yard. We will have to do that on our next trip to Pittsburgh.

My husband and I came here in 2019 from Boston when the previous owners were still running the place. It was an unreal experience! It was an honor getting to know Maggi and John and hearing all their stories about Mac! They made you feel like you knew him personally by the time you were done. Honestly, coming back in June 2023 I was nervous that the new owners would've changed the place a ton, and it wouldn’t of been the same kind of experience. I’m thrilled to of stepped foot in that store and seen that they kept the place close to what it was. Some things did change, but they kept his story alive I. It’s still the staple it was. The people working the store were lovely and were so cool to talk too!
There’s probably what’s the sweetest man in PA that sells his paintings there, I’m bad with names but I’m pretty sure it was Ron (sorry if it’s not 🫶), that you can tell genuinely enjoys talking to everyone who comes through and getting to know them. Hearing the stories he had about the area, the people he meets, and his joy for painting holds a place in my heart. That dude had me leaving there looking like this 🥹 if you go there, take some time to talk to him!
There’s a lot of places you can go to celebrate Mac in the area, but this is the place to be. You find some true appreciation for him, not just as an artist, but as who he was as Malcolm

What a great place to visit. Traveling the country for the last 5 months and Pittsburgh has been a destination stop since the beginning. Walked in and they had Mac playing. The employees were very nice and welcoming! Felt like I’ve been here before. Such a cool vibe. The owner is a motorcycle enthusiast and we got to talking about our Hondas! Thank you guys! You made my day. Much love from Arizona! @oakleenme

Honestly one of the most wholesome places to eat in Pittsburgh, Dave is one amazing man. From the food to the history that he shares it is truly an experience of a life time. Everyone needs to take an hour in their day to stop in and see a beautiful piece of history and grab some amazing food.
