It had been pouring all day so we were not able to walk along many paths, but it was nice to see there are community events, several trails to wander down, nice to walk by the water. Wild flowers, signs of beavers, spring greenery beginning to sprout. In the better weather, would love to go back and explore more. Did not have my boots and it was threatening rain again. Very pretty, peaceful place. Dogs need to be leashed.

This is a beautiful place to go for a nice stroll. The path by the water is beautiful, but the grass paths through the woods are also enjoyable. You'll see all different varieties of wildlife, birds, fowl, turtles, frogs, squirrel chipmunk and a few snakes.
This is a great place to bring your dog for a walk. Leashes are required. Lots of paths to walk and off the path places for adventures and to sniff around.

It was an unplanned visit in a cold weather but overall it was a satisfactory experience. We did walk for 20-30 minutes on the well paved path way next to the river. The visitor center remained closed during our visit. Parking area was small and during the afternoon it was not crowded.

I didn’t have much idea on the nature trail so didn’t explore much. This is something I would love to when visiting next time in spring.

[update May 2021] As promised - returned in spring and found it super beautiful and relaxing. Oh! Mother Nature you have so many things to offer to us.

I enjoyed the canal section of the park and the tow path which is friendly to wheel chair and bike traffic. If you turn left after the foot bridge there is a short section of the canal out to the stone arch bridge. If you cross the street to the river path it becomes a hiking trail through the woods that is a somewhat challenging walk or a mountain bike ride for experienced riders.
Taking a right off the bridge is the main canal path which is very user friendly with some history points of interest.
There is a decent amount of paved parking at the visitor center and there is additional parking on the other side of the road on a grass lot

Great little park! Very interesting bit of history. Dog friendly. Flat hike, lots of places to stop to sit and enjoy the views. Nature trails off of main canal trail are a little muddy, but not bad. Lots of great places for photos, even in winter. Rest rooms in visitor center, easy to visit with older kids. Lots of water.

This place is awsome such a wonderfull nature retreat. The walk is perfecf for kids and adults. Its a straight shot down with no turns or hills. There are some trails off the main path that go into the woods. Im not sure of the hiking distance but its about 2-3 miles total round trip. Great fishing too.

Was itching for a walk and saw it as I drove by, so I decided to stop.

Top notch walking trail. Despite the recent rain storm no puddles, no mud even. The first chunk of the trail was graveled.

The trail was kind of narrow with a steep drop off into the water. I would be hesitant to bring a small child if they had a habit of running off. It was quite nice to look at.

Nice flat dirt trail
A lot of people walking their dogs
They have restrooms in the greeting station
Will definitely be going back in warmer weather.
Didn't see any wildlife, but someone said that there's river otters and many types of birds.

Great park along part of the old Blackstone canal. Quiet walking trails and an interpretive museum with great history and wildlife of the area. Also hosts many outdoor events during the year including music.

Beautiful place. Love that we can bring our dog, go fishing, or have a picnic. Just wish people wouldn't litter and would pick up their dogs poop.
