Destination, day trip or just a stop on your journey, this place is a great anytime of the year. There is plenty of spaces for picnics and several grills there as well. There were portable and clean bathrooms. The Dunlap creek is accessible on both sides. We were able to walk out onto the creek bed and stand next to the crystal clear water. The creek is shallow in this area but great to sit in and cool off in warm weather and to listen to and look over when the temps are cooler. We were able to walk around and under the bridge to view this marvelous historical piece. Great place to visit if you are homeschooling or even if you are on your motorcycle trip. It doesn’t sit far from interstate 64 so access is easy. There is a historical marker that explains the bridge and it’s history. We visited during fall and the colors were amazing. It is so quite here. You can hear a little road traffic and there is a railroad nearby, as well as a small neighborhood but we noticed the tranquility of it all. History, just waiting to tell her story.

Second time visiting this historical bridge and found it to be absolutely beautiful and so relaxing once again. Very easy to get to from the interstate. You can walk around, and has easy access to swim or fish. Great picnic spot, but bring a blanket or chairs because the ONLY drawback to this place is there's no tables.

What a great little park! Besides the beautiful covered bridge, there's a LOVEwork sculpture & picnic tables. The sculpture is unique because it uses a live tree as the V with the bridge in the background & near the creek.

It's a wonderful place to take your children to play in the creek. The creek is Dunlap Creek. There are picnic tables, the historic bridge itself is very interesting and children can swing out on a rope swing into the water. Far side of the creek is a nice shallow area for toddlers to enjoy the water. It's a great place to search for ❤rocks. Or just practice skipping rocks.

Such a quaint compact beautiful location for all ages for a quick stop to walk around or to pack for an afternoon adventure. There are plenty of trees that provide shade with picnic tables underneath them on the entrance side of the bridge and if he walk through the bridge to the other side there's a large open grass field where you can play games and run around we're off to the right of that it's covered with shade from the lush trees. While walking through the inside of the bridge it's amazing to see all of the names of people that have left their markings on the inside of the wood in to refer back to the year that they were there, I would suspect public visitors such as ourselves. You can access the river which is fairly shallow to walk across some parts or just put a chair in the water or even sit on the rocks and let the water flow over your body. To the left side of the bridge from the main entrance there is a hanging rope that we saw children grabbing a hold of and swinging into the water today, which I think it's a great idea and seems like it would be much fun. We've been there a couple of times now just to walk around but after seeing the traffic today and people spaced out with their chairs and coolers, I would definitely go back with proper swimwear and pack a cooler with snacks and water to enjoy an afternoon here. It's so quiet in the nature all around you is absolutely beautifully breathtaking. The grounds are incredibly kept beautiful and it's a lovely location. We will be back to enjoy a day and hang out and play by the water and then the water.

This is the best maintained covered bridge I have ever had the privilege of visiting and walking through. The grounds are immaculate and well kept. Thanks for the beautiful experience!

A very nice place to enjoy a picnic and take photos. Humpback Bridge Wayside is also a nice place to watch trains. Also don't forget to get a picture of the Love sign.

My husband and I really enjoyed the covered bridge and it's history. It's a beautiful park to take a picnic or wade in the water under the bridge.

SHORT jaunt off I-64. Clean parking area. Unusual covered bridge with arch in the middle.

A covered bridge with an arched middle. Bridge is not used for traffic. A rest area with picnic tables. Porta-portty style restrooms but accessible design and even handwashing and paper towels (presumably only seasonal). A flowing mountain stream. This is less than two miles off interstate 64.

Always love seeing covered bridges! This one was amazing by the design in which it was. Very peaceful. Again, lots of turns and switch backs!
