A Hidden Gem of Authentic Vietnamese Cuisine

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Present Restaurant in Falls Church, and I must say it exceeded my expectations in every way. This delightful Vietnamese eatery has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the Northern Virginia area.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff's hospitality and genuine smiles made me feel instantly welcome. Their commitment to providing exceptional service is truly commendable.

Now, let's talk about the food. Every dish I tried at Present Restaurant was a mouthwatering explosion of flavors. The Vietnamese cuisine served here is an absolute delight for the taste buds. From the fragrant pho to the crispy spring rolls, each dish showcased the chefs' culinary expertise and attention to detail. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was visually appealing.

Cute spot, very good ambiance. Went in a group, service was great. Barely a wait for food. I had the fried rice with crabmeat & shrimp. Had enough for 4 servings it was so much.

My friend had the beef, she said it was spicy, it tasted wonderful but no spice for me, lol. It came in a plastic bamboo container, which was a cute presentation.

Drinks were done well. One of my friends in the group states they come here often. I will definitely stop in again.

My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the DMV area! Dishes are presented beautifully and more importantly taste great! You feel like you're in an upscale restaurant but the prices are very reasonable. There's a reason native Vietnamese people come here too.

I discovered this restaurant years ago when my kids were toddlers, so worried at first. But the staff were amazing and food outstanding. I just went again this weekend and was loving the fact that the food and staff is still amazing. Highly recommend, little hidden gem of Falls Church. Definitely one of my Top 10 favorites of Falls Church.

Really enjoyed eating here! The place is beautiful inside, and has a koi pond with a waterfall, our server was so friendly and attentive, and best of all the food was top-notch and felt much more exotic than other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. There are so many items I want to try on the menu that I'll have to return often!

I live too far away for delivery, but when a friend suggested we drive over and get takeout, I was thrilled. The food is delicious and there are dishes I just can't get at my neighborhood Vietnamese restaurants. I feasted on Gregarious Lemongrass Chicken, Country Road Duck, and Warm Heart Piglet. Great food to boost morale during the shutdown.

Present is the perfect name for this restaurant because it was truly a present. We stumbled upon this by accident and wow were we impressed. We ordered an appetizer and 2 entrees. The spring roll came out steaming hot and filled with crab meat, it was a perfect way to open our appetite. For entrees we got Warm Heart Piglet and the La Vong Vermicelli. The Warm Heart Piglet was pieces of caramelized pork cutlets braised for a long time in a clay pot. It has a very nice and sweet caramelized taste to it and went perfectly with the rice. The Vermicelli was a Hanoi style marinated filet fish that came on a hot plate. Everything was amazing and I definitely recommend stopping in if you’re in the area.

Best family style Vietnamese food in the area- way better than all the alternatives at Eden Center. The names of the dishes on the menu are humorously over the top, but they are all just classic Vietnamese dishes. We got the sweet and sour tamarind soup, mixed vegetables, roasted duck, fried fish, and steamed fish. All the food was tender and deliciously seasoned. Our waiter was also very friendly and happy to answer questions and give suggestions, as was the person we spoke on the phone with when calling beforehand to ask about COVID accomodations. The well decorated interior of the restaurant combined with the aesthetics of the food and plating gives off a high class vibe. If you like Vietnamese food, this place is definitely a must try.

Notes: Rice is free and tip is included in the bill. Price is reasonable for quality.

This is one of my favorite spots for Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Vietnamese Beef Noodles). One of the things I like about Present Restaurant is that it has great Vietnamese food and is located a short drive away from the crowd at Eden Center.

Delicious food, beautiful interior- it looks unprepossessing outside but don't judge by it's cover. Reasonable pricing too. Also, they are excellent at timing when to bring food out to keep things fresh and hot. Really delicious!

This place is kinda hard to get to if your not familiar with the area and the layout of the streets a rhe outside is a bit nondescript, hiding the jewel within.

Service was excellent from the time we came in to the time we left. Our waiter, Robert, gave very detailed descriptions and wonderful recommendations. Coming back frequently to check on is and refill pouts drinks. The dishes we ordered were wonderfully presented and with very big. The taste matched the presentation equally, everything was delicious. They were also kind enough to prepare a small dish of chicken fried rice for my youngest.

If you're a local then you're really lucky but even if you're not Present is well worth the drive from DC if you want to get out of the city for a bit.

My mother said the Cheesecake was the best she ever had and my daughter was equally impressed with the Lava Cake.

Great flavorful dishes with good service. Hole in the wall restaurant that you wouldn’t expect to have such a wide variety of Asian dishes. Would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for good food and drinks.

Lunch was delicious, restaurant was clean and welcoming, server was courteous and service was prompt. Definitely worth a visit.

Food is amazing as well as the vibe. We get caught up on day to day life, visit here and get reminded what it's like to be in the present moment.

Highly recommended lemon grass chicken or beef pho

This place is amazing. I had the “Open Field in the Sunset” soup which is a sweet and sour dish with veggies and either fish or shrimp (I chose fish). It was the best soup I’ve ever eaten (ok, tied for the best). If you get the soup, I’d suggest sharing it with the group and ordering another dish. Although I didn’t mind eating it all myself as my main thing. Friends had other interestingly named dishes like Cow in an Open Field and Gregarious Sophisticated Chicken. Raves from everyone.

I have been remiss for not giving a review with this 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ restaurant.
My family and I are so fortunate to know the existence of this wonderful foodie icon.
The chef and owner, Binh is on top of the Vietnamese culinary world. Besides Present Restaurant, his other gem is Saigon Street at the MGM Grand National Harbor, MD serving the most authentic Vietnamese menu.
He is an entrepreneur and civic servant as well.
Present Restaurant is a representation of life itself. As is it's message, "Enjoy the present, Enjoy Life." The menu items are named with different aspects and emotions of life.
