Caribbean Plate

This was my first visit here. I ordered takeout and got the oxtail/jerk wings combo with rice & peas, cabbage and a side of plantains. The jerk chicken very delicious & falling off the bones. The oxtail was tender and seasoned perfectly. On top of the great taste, the staff was very friendly and personable. They went out of their way to make sure my first visit was enjoyable. I will definitely be back.

I cannot believe it’s taken us so long to try this place. This is hands down the best goat curry and oxtail I’ve ever had…and I’m Indian... They were the most tender and flavorful meats. Please treat yourself to this wonderful restaurant!

Last time I visited Caribbean Plate I got to meet the owner, whom was there to ensure service was being delivered to his patrons the way he expects. The staff is always cordial. Portion sizes are great. I can eat from one plate for at least 2 days.

I ordered a red, white and blue smoothie as well as the Ziggy Shrimp. I remembered the dish being served in a roti but this time it was just rice. Perhaps they had none that day or the menu changed.

I recommend this restaurant.

Reasonably priced and healthy portions. Recommend avoiding too many similar flavor profile food though because it does tend to get a bit salty (lots of flavors in everything). Jamaican beef patties are a must before, compliment your meal, or take home.

My first visit met my expectations. I had the brown stewed chicken which was very good. I could have just used two spoon fulls more of gravy, but otherwise was great! We also had the escovitch snapper which was delish. It was a cool 40 minute drive but worth the time for the flavor!

I was so excited to visit this place to have their jerk wings and goat curry served with two sides. Always had best experience with the food.came to know that they are open on Mondays too.

I haven't had a fantastic meal like this in a long time. Everything tasted so good and everyone was super friendly in there. Most definitely will be going more often!

The food: arrived hot and everything kept well. I did put the beef patty in the air fryer for 4 minutes to make it extra flakey but i could have eaten it as is. I also got the jerk chicken wings, rice and peas, and cabbage. The jerk had good heat but was a little salty IMO.

The pro: The wing meat literally fell off the bone - it was incredible! I’ve never seen chicken wings this tender. So so good.

The con: You only get 4 wings which i thought was low for a $12 plate.

Where do I start? I love this place! Been coming here for about a year and a half to get my Caribbean food fix. Usually I order to go, but today I decided to stop here for lunch because I had some time to kill. My go to meal is the Oxtail but everything I have had taste amazing. Including today's jerk chicken club! Eating in today, I had a chance to really appreciate excellent service, the island decor, and and Caribbean music to set the tone for the meal. Another thing I really like here is the homemade ginger pineapple drink. The sweetness of the pineapple mixed with the spiciness of the ginger is a perfect mix! Check it out when you make your visit here. Overall, this is a great restaurant if you are looking for traditional island cuisine. Also for those who care, they do offer a military discount. I guess I will end where I started. I love this place!

Wow. What a super pleasant culinary experience. As someone who grew up in the Caribbean and has lived in India, I can tell you that my palet was super happy, as was my 12 year old son.
He ordered the roti with goat curry. It was his first time trying goat. The combination of the spices, a little bit of pepper made it a winner. He then washed it all down with a Jamaican ginger beer.
I had the curry chicken with a side of rice and beans and we had some of the wings.

There was an couple of Asian decent in there, who truly enjoyed their meal. So it goes to show that their great flavor has reached the broader community.

This is a must go. The restaurant is small and very clean and the staff is friendly and super fast. Expect your meal to come out within minutes.
You can even order by phone.

The food is so good everytime! I had the oxtail pasta today. So good! I’m very picky on my carribean spots exceeds my expectation - SAM lol

Best Jerk Wings I’ve ever eaten. The meat was so tender that it was falling off the bone. The brown stew chicken and curry chicken was amazing as well. I highly recommend this place!!

Best fresh smoothie in town! Just real fruit definitely hits the spot! I will be back. Thank for for being better than tropical smoothie and smoothie king.

The Dhalphrie Roti(wrap) was soft and seasoned. Three portion was large. The Curried Chicken was seasoned and flavorful. I also had a Sorrel which was good, but it had too much Ginger (which I love). The I liked the atmosphere.

This is by far my favorite Caribbean restaurant

From patties to escovitch to curry goat, great stuff. Fresh and flavourful with an owner that cares is the best type of restaurant. Really enjoyed the experience.

Great Caribbean food, Oxtail is perfectly cooked, just the right seasoning for me. Plantains always nice and ripe when cooked which is nice. They have my favorite pineapple soda from my childhood here,which is great! Excellent customer service!

The OX tail was great...with the rice and peas and cabbage. And I also to the Goat....and man, I'm glad I got that plate too.... lol

Food was excellent, atmosphere was great and the music matched the vibe.
