Brown's Hardware

Great hardware store. I always receive excellent service and help every time I go in.

There are fewer and fewer traditional hardware stores left in this area. Brown's is one of them. Parking is easier and prices are a bit lower at a big box retailer, but Brown's has knowledgeable, helpful staff and a curated selection of tools, products, and other solutions. They won't have 8 different brands of paint--but they can tell you the right kind to use on your outdoor stucco wall. I visit Brown's for all my odd-ball key duplication needs. They are able to match all kinds of keys that a big box store won't touch.

Good for 1 wood screw or a handful. If you can describe it they probably have it.

Never have I left this store w/o the thing or info I needed. Have used this store for nearly 40 years!

It's your local hardware store! I always come here first if I need anything, although it's not very often. Everyone here is super sweet and is happy to help with a solution to my problems. There's even parking in the back. Would 100% recommend giving them your business!

This place is the real deal. Willing to help and provide a recommendation even if they don't have what you're looking for. But they have a surprising amount of inventory for their size. On multiple occasions they've had the part I needed when Home Depot didn't. Better yet, they're on top of their inventory and can quickly tell you whether they have it or not if you pop in or give them a quick call.

Awesome local store that has been around forever. The workers are very helpful and despite the smaller size they have so far had almost every thing I need. They stock high quality stuff.

Brown's Hardware is a Falls Church institution. Everyone in the city knows and loves the store. The staff there is always really friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of hardware and garden items. I always seem to find what I need here and have never had an unpleasant experience. I recommend going to this hardware store, even if it is a little out of your way.

I love Brown's Hardware. I've been coming here my entire life. Much easier to find things here than in the mega stores and the staff is amazingly helpful and friendly and they've worked here forever. I get keys made here and they always work fine. This hardware store has been around since the 1800s. It was robbed back in the days of cowboys with dynamite. Defiantly a Falls Church staple. Support small locally owned businessness.

Dogs are welcome! They gave my pup a milkbone treat while I waited to have keys made, and now he wants to go in every time we walk on E Broad! The store has EVERYTHING and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

One of the benefits of local hardware stores with history is that they know the older houses and fixtures specific to buildings in the area. Brown's always has the replacement parts impossible to find elsewhere! I have not once gone in to the store and walked out empty handed or told they dont have what I need. Very reasonable prices and lots of cool unexpected things too.

This hardware store is small, but wonderful. It is truly an old-fashioned hardware store, with some modern conveniences. Brown's is staff by knowledgeable people. They can answer most any question related to hardware and home repairs. They are polite, friendly, and professional. Brown's is my very favorite hardware store in the northern Virginia area. I would give it 10 Stars if I could!

There is simply no comparison between Browns Hardware and a big box hardware store. Whether you’re an expert or need advice on everything as I do, Brown’s has been my go-to store for 30 years. I actually look forward to having a reason to go to this store. Truly a wonderful place.

This has got to be one of the last[and the best] remaining old fashioned hardware store. Plenty of knowledgeable staff. Falls Church City fathers need to keep this store as a living museum to show our children what it used to be like...if I win the big lottery I'm going to try to buy it and turn it into a non profit educational venture! Elementary school teachers can have class trips here!

The neighborhood Hardware Store ..on the corner of Broad & Washington in Falls Church..Browns has carried everything I've needed for all the ongoing repairs and maintenance I have at both my home and my office. Plus the staff has always been very helpful and knowledgeable if I have questions or just lost. A great alternative to Home Depot...

They don't have as many garden supplies as I like, but it is a small store needing lots of items. The employees are helpful and seem like they care about helping you even if they look busy unloading things, with out me needing to ask for help. Good customer service.

I have been a loyal Brown's Hardware customer for the past 10 years. They are super friendly, helpful and always have the items I'm looking for. It's so much more pleasant, and takes much less time, than going to the huge national home improvement stores.

Stumbled upon, well no - GPS'd the closest hardware store and it lead us to Brown's. I had picked up 2 small side tables from the Salvation Army that need a little stabilizing. Did not get the persons name who assisted us, but he made a friend and a great impression on my date and me. This guy didn't sell us anything but could have. He knew exactly what was needed to get the wobble out of my table, and fixed it, by pulling and L-wrench from the shelf. How was that for customer service, and, and, who does that anymore for free ?? Thank you sir....
