This was my first time dealing with a funeral home after my brother passed away. From the first telephone call with Ivory, to speaking with Saudia, the funeral director, my needs were completely met. Planning a funeral is very stressful, but their customer service and quick responses made things much better. Saudia answered all my questions thoroughly, responded to my emails within an hour, and her accessibility made things run smoothly. The day of our service was wonderful. Theron and his team made sure we had everything, they were kind and did not rush us to leave. Very great experience and would definitely use them in the future.

I was a bit nervous about this whole experience as it was my first time planning a funeral, but Saudia was absolutely incredible, kind, and made the whole thing amazing. Even if I asked a question I thought may be silly she answered. She moved mountains and I will forever be great full to her. She went above and beyond to make everything easy and stress free durning a difficult time in life. She took how we talked about who and how my mother was and made it a great celebration of her and what she loved. She showed who my my mother was as a person through the whole service and helped bring it all to life. I will forever be grateful. Thank you so much to Saudia.

My Father recently passed away. My mother chose Murphy Funeral Home to have his Memorial Service at. We were extremely pleased with the way they handled everything. Russ Thompson was our Funeral Director, and he helped to make a very difficult situation easier to deal with. He made all the arrangements with the hospital to transport his body to the funeral home, ordered the death certificate, and all the other details that are involved in making the arrangements. He assisted me in contacting the Army Archives so my father could be buried with the military honors he deserved. Russ went above and beyond to see that our father's service was beautiful and just what we wanted for him. Russ was very caring and respectful of our wishes. We appreciate everything he did for us.

Tharon and Sydnee were wonderful to work with during a very difficult time. They were compassionate and sensitive, while still keeping my family focused and informed as we made arrangements for my Dad. They were extremely communicative and responsive. Tharon was particularly proactive in helping us locate my Dad’s DD-214 document, which we didn’t have and was necessary for burial at Arlington. That was a lengthy process, but Tharon took the initiative and kept us informed every step of the way. My family is extremely grateful and appreciative of the service and care provided by Murphy’s.

We employed the services of Murphy Funeral Home - Falls Church when my father passed away fifteen years ago. We remembered how caring and professional they were and how they helped us develop services that were meaningful to us. When Mom passed away a few weeks ago, we again turned to Murphy to help us through this difficult time. Due to Covid-19, this time was even more challenging but the staff at Murphy were extremely knowledgeable and walked us through every step of the way. This was an outstanding experience.

I had the pleasure of having Brooke be our funeral director. She was kind, caring and emphatic. She made an extremely sad day as easy as could be.
She listened to our needs. Our wants. And our concerns. Not once did she try to have us do anything we didn’t ask for. She was responsive to my many emails and text messages.

Pre-planning my father’s funeral was the best decision we ever made. Murphy Funeral Home has been so compassionate and so wonderful to deal with through this difficult time. They have handled everything. Please pre-plan. It will make your life easier and a difficult time manageable. There are not enough stars available to rate their service. I highly recommend them.
