Beautiful hotel that smells amazing! The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were soft and plush. The location is a little further from the action, but we were fine with that since we prefer the quietness. The St. Charles Streetcar is only a few blocks away and there are some good restaurants and bars within walking distance. The rooftop bar has great views, but the food is very pricey. Next time, I would skip the food there and go to a local restaurant instead. All in all, we had a great stay and would stay here again.

Incredibly clean. Great customer service. Quiet. Parking is a little tricky, so call the hotel first for instructions. The building and rooms have a vintage vibe. Perfect if you don't want to party all night or hear others who are. It is a bit of a walk to get to shopping/food areas, but not too bad and Uber is available to take you anywhere. Brunch was a little pricey, but great. A vintage jazz band was also playing. I am not sure if that is a regular event, or if just for Mother's Day.

Convenient location to the Riverwalk and the French Quarter if you are willing to walk 1/3 to 1 mile. The staff is personable, upbeat, and friendly. I appreciate the patience of the staff to help folks who are unfamiliar with the area. The beds are comfortable! The in-room coffee is flavorful.

Very nice. Very clean. Perfect air conditioner. Excellent room. Great location. Great parking. Wonderful restaurant. Excellent bathroom with great shower great hot water. But the bed & bedding… Let me tell you those goose down pillows & comforter, perfect mattress & 1800000 thread count sheets… WOW. It was so comfortable I can’t even explain. I slept so good I wanted to go to bed early, get up late, and go back to the hotel twice a day to get back in bed for a nap. It was fantastic!!! Directly across the street from the national WW2 museum with several good restaurants in walking distance. I parked in the garage when I got there & didn’t go to my truck until time to check out 3 days later…

We enjoyed our stay at the Higgins. The hotel was very clean and our room was nice and comfortable. We went up to the rooftop bar/restaurant every night to have drinks and food. I would definitely recommend the beignets at the rooftop. They were light and flakey. We walked to Bourbon Street from the hotel, and it only took about 20 minutes max. I will definitely choose the Higgins when I return to NO!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Showed up for check in late in the evening the night that we got there. After getting checked in and up to our rooms we got our vehicle parked in the parking garage. Everything was explained very well by the person checking me in. Staff was super friendly and took very good care of us. Parking is available in the parking garage next door and accessible using hotel key when set up and paid for correctly. Accessible parking is available but does rely on the parking garages elevator. There is a limited number of two spots per floor. Parking is accessible from the magazine street side as is the hotel front entrance for some reason Google maps likes to take you to the side door which is locked a lot of the time. Rooms are a very good quality and very nice aesthetic. Secure access to the elevator so that people aren't just randomly coming up to your floor for the most part. They have two bars on site one upstairs and one downstairs that both close at 10:00 and 11 respectively. Food served each until about 10:00. They have also have a cafe on hand for breakfast and lunch. They have computers and printers available for handling business if necessary and the desk staff are also very helpful at trying to help you anytime you need anything. Entrances are secure at night along with people keeping an eye on them which makes you feel very safe and secure for a hotel. Rooms were super clean and well maintained. Parking cost is above what you see at room cost and it's roughly $45 per day as of writing this review. That's on par with what the city charges given the fact that you're in a secured parking garage with cameras etc. I love the overall classic design of the hotel even though it's clean and modern where it needs to be they maintain the old style aesthetic of the era matching the world war II museum across the street. Lots of cool displays and furniture pieces to match this.

It is the WWII museum‘s official hotel. Its decoration is cool and is all about WWII. The hotel just located on the other side of the museum. Guests can get $2 dollars off when buying the museum ticket by showing the room card. But it seemed to me that this promotion can only be applied at the ticket window, not on-line. Almost all places of interests surrounding downtown can be walked to from here. The front desk is responsive. There are three cafe restaurants in the hotel. Two are on the first floor and one is on the top floor. They open through holidays. It has a fitness room but no pool. There are three elevators and they are moving fast so that we did not have a problem on going up and down. Rooms have a good sound insulation so we slept well. I took one star away for rooms because some furnitures have flaws as they are aged.

The Higgins Hotel, a part of Hilton's Curio Collection, offers an experience that uniquely blends historical charm with modern luxury. Located adjacent to the National World War II Museum in New Orleans' vibrant Arts District, this hotel stands out with its stark, almost modern Gothic exterior, which intriguingly contrasts with its Art Deco and retro interior aesthetics.

Upon entering, you're greeted by a grand lobby, dominated by a striking floor-to-ceiling mural and period chandeliers, surrounded by an array of tastefully arranged artifacts. This sets the stage for a stay where history and contemporary comfort converge seamlessly.

The rooms, particularly the King Room I stayed in, boast a 1940s-inspired design marked by clean lines and military-grade tidiness. The royal blues and golds create a formal yet pleasing palette, enhanced by wartime-inspired artwork and kitschy posters, adding a touch of whimsy. The panoramic city views, a luxurious walk-in shower, and top-notch toiletries and amenities contribute to a truly comfortable stay.

A unique feature for guests with access (either staying on the executive floor or as high-tier Hilton Honors members) is the lounge, which houses a piano once belonging to General Patton, adding a significant historical touch to your stay.

For dining, don't miss Rosie's on the Roof, the rooftop bar, offering spectacular views, delightful ambiance and good food.

The WWII Museum is an absolute must and is just across the street from the hotel.

The hotel's location provides easy access to the best of New Orleans. It's not just a place to stay; it's a part of the city's cultural fabric, offering a stay that's as enriching as it is comfortable.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were well styled, clean, and put together. It's about a 3/4 mile walk to canal, but I loved the proximity to the WWII museum and great restaurants like Cochon.

Glad that we picked this hotel. Highly recommend upgrading the corner room. The rooms are very spacious. The location is excellent with the St. Charles trolley a dice minute walk from the hotel.

Fourth trip to NOLA. The Higgins is exactly what we needed: close to the museum, restaurants and bar on premises and comfortable rooms and cushy beds. It was convenient to go downstairs for coffee or to choose a full breakfast. The rooftop was great for having a few drinks at the end of the day to go over all the fun we had. Our Concierge, James, was instrumental in making this a wonderful trip; he was gracious, professional, and provided ideas and information. He heard we didnt have the best experience at a well known NOLA restaurant so he made us reservations at Irenes- the only ones available. We had a wonderful dinner at Irenes(Thank you to Michael, at Irenes for a first class dining experience!)).
This is the only place we will stay from now on- we didnt mind that we needed to Uber to dinners and other spots, as this is a quieter area away from all the NOLA revelry. The hotel staff made us feel welcome.

This is a great hotel if your visit to New Orleans includes the WW2 Museum - it is literally across the street, and your room key gives you a $2 discount.

Overall the hotel is very nice. Food was moderately high, but on par with other specialty restaurants in the area - and it was very good!

The staff were extremely polite and very helpful - exactly what you would expect in southern hospitality.

The room was immaculate and very comfortable. There was a very spacious shower. There can be some ambient city noise from outside (you're in a downtown setting after all) but we always bring a white noise machine to help the kids and it wasn't a problem.

We had a great stay and will definitely consider coming back.

We wound up only staying one night in this hotel as the accessible bathroom leaked and they were fully booked so there was no other room.

That said, I want to compliment the staff on the way they generously handled the situation and would honestly stay again.

Very clean beautiful rooms.

It's an extremely beautiful hotel with wonderful rooms. I slept extremely well. The rooms are extremely quiet. You cannot hear anyone in the halls or outside. The only downside is the water is lukewarm.

I was suggested to eat on the rooftop of the Higgins hotel after my visit to the WWII museum.
Great suggestion!

Amazing view. Amazing food. I loved it.

A spectacular New Orleans hotel associated with the World War II museum. Operated by Hilton. It is brand spanking, new and beautiful. Love the conference center the perfect place to stay if you’re taking your family to the WW II Museum. Try Rosie’s and have a cocktail. Have breakfast at Provisions.

The Roosevelt Suite was the perfect room for a bridal party to get ready for a special day! It was roomy and had a nice partial kitchen. Andreas Jansen was a pleasure to work with while planning our stay. The staff followed our itinerary for smooth sailing. I would also like to thank Courtney at the front desk for being so pleasant and helpful. The bellman (I wish I had his name) was super helpful in delivering our welcome baskets to our guests rooms. Thanks

Great atmosphere to this hotel. Nice toiletries and the rooms smell amazing. Great room, bed, service, good views, fast elevators. The crowd here is really relaxed. I'm here traveling on business, certainly this hotel is intended for visiting the WWII museum -- However, this is a unique location and I highly recommend staying here regardless of the occasion. There are easy and overrated choices closer to the conference center but don't waste your time. If you're going to have to travel for business, experience something different along the way. The location of Higgins is relaxing and friendly versus the other places I've stayed in New Orleans. The execution of the Higgins old classic aesthetic manages to deliver nostalgia for an era I wasn't even a part of. All while seamlessly blending in modern amenities to meet modern expectations.
