Perfect to stay in a quiet place but very close to the French Quarter with the ferry. We got very interesting ideas of what to see around in New Orleans, the woman at the desk was very helpful. I recommand.

Mrs. Audrey was an exceptionally wonderful host who made my stay here very comfortable and enjoyable. The ladies cleaning the rooms were also pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and I beg to differ with the other unfavorable reviews about this hotel. My experience was good here. I would definitely recommend and stay here again. Gratitude to the staff at Federal City Inn & Suites. Also, grateful to the lifeguards across the street at the pool who allowed us to swim as guests of the hotel and went out there way for my children. A 10-star review from this guest.

The room is amazing! Spacious, beautiful, exceptionally clean and a great price! I found it by accident, but I would stay here again definitely! The bathroom is beautiful. Also a full kitchenette with fridge, stove and full sized sink. They also had clean dishes in the room for guest use! It doesn't get any better. One of the nicest places I've ever stayed. And the staff were really awesome too. Helpfully directing guests to local attractions in great detail. You would not regret staying here! I don't want to leave. Oh and the bed is really comfy!

Our hotel room was very clean and more than we were expecting! We felt safe day and night at this location and it was a 5 minute walk to a 101 & 102 bus stop that took us across the river to the central business district. Check in/out was easy, staff was nice and we would definitely come back. :) thank you for a great stay.

Great place to stay on any budget. It's on the old navy base that is currently a marine base. As you get up to start your day you can see the soldiers walking around. It's not far from the ferry to get to the heart of things. This hotel offers free parking but the ferry is $5 parking plus $4 round trip still a lot cheaper then parking at the hotels in the heart of the city. Ac works well and every room is equipt with a microwave mini fridge stovetop and some dishes. Beds are comfortable and staff is extremely friendly. Be sure to enjoy a peaceful night sleep before you take on your day long journey to the heart of New Orleans shops museums and eating.

A little high priced if you're frugal. But I have been traveling the MS delta and Southern LA for a little over a year now, this hotel is the nicest the cleanest and has the most professional staff I've encountered. I will say one evening I was in the lobby and an employee with raised voice shouted something vulgar but we are all human and he had no idea I was anywhere near or I don't believe I ever would have heard that.

Very clean room, we arrived early Ms. Sylvia was amazing allowed us to go ahead and check in very polite and helpful. Brandon in the evening was amazing also we stayed 2 nights and they did everything to make it feel like home. The area is safe and quiet. Patrolled by police constant. 5-10 min from everything we needed. Would recommend this to anyone.

I’m basing my review on the whole picture. This hotel was very inexpensive, and you really can’t beat the price. It’s not in the French quarter but it is very close. It’s a no frills hotel but it was clean, quiet and the beds were comfy. They have a kitchenette and coffee maker. You have all that you need and nothing more. Free parking and low dog fees if you’re bringing your pup. The area seems a little rundown but the police station is a minute away.

Nice clean room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Kitchen was equipped properly with the exception of a frying pan which was blackened and not usable. No pool but there is one across the street. Small playground for kids. Loved the staff and felt very safe here. Very comfy beds and loved the location.

Very nice small hotel. If you're visiting the Navy Yard it's great. If you're wanting close to the French Quarter, not close. Not walkable. The ferry is half a mile walk, but seems like a mile. Ferry isn't 24/7 so you have to take taxi.. gets expensive. Might as well stay across the river and pay to park... But the hotel is newly redone and very clean, stylish, well built. The staff are excellent and and grounds are landscaped and clean.

Very clean. Quiet. Friendly staff. Spacious. I loved the kitchenette with the bistro wood table and supplies to cook with, a medium sized mini fridge, plates, bowls, etc. I enjoyed my walk on the premises of the Naval base. LSU Fitness Center is across the street and their cafe is open to the public. It is near EVERYTHING...JUST 1-2.8 miles across the bridge. I will definitely be staying here on my trips back....for work or pleasure!

The rooms include two beds (mine did), a shower and toilet separated from the sink, and a kitchen with 2 stove tops and a microwave. The rooms are always thoroughly cleaned right after you leave, and the room even includes a desk that can fit a full sized computer with all of its parts and more. Room feels very comfortable and never questioned about the cleanliness of the room since it always felt clean.

Everyone was so nice! The room was very clean with a kitchenette. It's a thirty minute walk to the ferry or a six dollar uber ride. The ferry costs 2 bucks and dumps you out at Harrahs casino. Then it's an easy walk to Bourbon St. There are practically no businesses around which is kind of a bummer but it was worth saving hundreds of dollars. The beds were comfy with a medium feel but the bathtub was really small. All in all, we would absolutely stay here again! Good bang for your buck type of hotel.

Rooms are large and so clean! Very comfy beds. Nice and quiet area but still close to downtown. Close to the ferry as well. This hotel is much better than most of those higher end hotels but have much cheaper prices

This was an old army barracks. The location is great. 15 mins and 5 miles from the French Quarter. It's like a ittle efficiency apt. There is a park from my dog to go walking the area very quiet and safe. Hotel staff was very friendly. I love this place. The value and location are great .

This might be one of the few secret gems of New Orleans. Simple (no pool or fitness center), but spacious and clean rooms with a kitchenette. The area is not the greatest (what part of New Orleans is?), but the Navy Yard around the hotel is extremely clean and safe. Best part, it is a 5 minute drive from the Algiers Ferry, which for $2 will drop you right at the doorstep to the French Quarter. Last ferry back is 9:45PM, so that is set back. For us, traveling with family (4 years to 70 years old), it was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of sight seeing. And, for the price, you can't beat it.

Great value hotel. I was surprised by how large the room/ bathroom were. Full kitchen was available so we made breakfast and had coffee in the morning. $16-18 cab fare to french quarter. For the price we were more than satisfied.

This hidden gem was a pleasure to stay at. The neighborhood was safe, the room was clean, and the staff had excellent restaurant suggestions. Next time I visit New Orleans this will be my go to spot!
