The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans

We enjoyed our stay a lot! Got some complimentary cupcakes in the room for my birthday. Also got upgraded to a “city view” room. The hotel as a whole feel a bit “old world” from a decor standpoint. We typically prefer a bit more modern. But the rooms were nice and upgraded and it was nice to experience the “Ritz” experience that I’ve heard so much about. No complaints.

The best hotel in the French Quarter. Perfect location. Amazing staff. Awesome chef's. Jeremy Davenport and his band made for a memorable evening as well. I will be staying here every time I come from now on. Top notch experience.

We had a great stay here! The hotel was clean and well kept and the service was excellent. The highlight of our stay was at breakfast in the bistro each day with our two year old. The food was great and the staff was super friendly (they even brought him stuffed animals!) and went out of their way to accommodate us and our (very active) son. My one complaint is that there were no bellman when we showed up and I had to haul our luggage (luggage, car seat, stroller etc) by myself. I don’t mind doing it but expect a bellman when staying at a higher end hotel. I’m not going to take a star away for that because every other aspect of our stay was excellent.

This is hands down among the most exquisite hotel experiences in New Orleans! Especially if you’re staying for the holidays, it is a total feast for the eyes. The service is top-tier from the moment you arrive. The valet is thorough and takes all your bags to your room. The rooms are lovely and huge—plenty of space for two people. The location is great because it’s not on a very loud street so you have distance from all the action of Bourbon but it is easily walkable to the main sights. For me, a highlight was the amenities—they have three fitness rooms with state of the art equipment, a pool and jacuzzi and full service spa. I was shocked and excited to see such an extensive set of amenities. The hotel itself is a bit of a maze, but amazing for events onsite. Highly recommend this hotel!

This was our first time staying here. We will definitely stay here again. The rooms are very clean and the bed is extremely comfortable. The location is close to everything. The service here is definitely top notch.

My entire stay at the Ritz-Carlton was phenomenal. We arrived early and were concerned that our room would not be ready in time for us to be checked in. We were successfully processed for check-in in a short span of time. The personnel was outstanding. During my entire stay, I encountered innumerable nice individuals, which made the trip extremely worthwhile. I am now spoiled, plus my Saints beat the Panthers 😁. The hotel and its personnel receive a 15 out of 10.

Excellent hotel in the best location in NOLA. Hotel staff are all incredibly friendly and the building is beautiful (it used to be an old department store which you can see subtle yet intentional hints of throughout). The gym, pool, and spa are on the first floor and the 'lobby' is on the 3rd floor, along with an outdoor courtyard, M Bistro restaurant and lounge where they have live jazz on the weekends. This property lives up to the Ritz Carlton name and brand. It's located on the immediate outskirts of the French Quarter and a couple blocka away from Bourbon Street so it's not too loud but close enough to feel like you're where the party is at. I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting New Orleans.

We had my Mom’s wedding here during Thanksgiving week. Emily (our day-of coordinator) and the staff at the reception were wonderful. We had several unusual requests that they accommodated without complaint. They handled a minor mistake we made with urgency and grace. Everyone was so sweet!! We started in the spa at 8:30 am that they opened early just for my Mom and her family to get hair and make up completed before the noon time wedding. Those ladies were amazing as well!! The lunch time reception was delicious!! The staff waited on my Mom and her new husband since he had recently had ankle surgery. I wish I could remember everyone’s names but it was whirlwind of a day. All made better by the coordinator, spa staff and wait staff of the Ritz!! Thank you!! We will be back and you’ve created some raving fans!

Excellent experience! Beautiful, quiet room;
great service from housekeeping to the top-notch concierge team; and live jazz in the Davenport Lounge. Bartender Byron is a cocktail savant - his Sazarac is incredible. Highly recommend.

Five stars for the staff. Rudy, the concierge is the best. He provided perfect recommendations along with his humor, Rudy was awesome. The doormen are all very helpful.
The rooms are nice, the bathrooms could use an upgrade but overall the hotel is very well cared for, its Quiet, and a great location, easy walking to the things you want to see.

Upscale place to drink, dine or hear music. A lot of cozy nooks about the hotel to chill. The wait staff at the bars are very courteous and attentive. We are local and like to hang there

We had dinner downstairs at M bistro! The food was delicious and our server was so attentive! My whole stay was magical! I definitely recommend!

Excellent Canal Street location and a beautiful historic hotel. The updated vintage style rooms have all of the modern ameneties with an old world feel. The restaurants and bar are very good, outdoor courtyard is beautiful and the spa is one of the best in Nola.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It is a truly lovely place to stay. The service is courteous and professional and the room was large, luxurious, and perfect. Well...almost perfect. The first night we found the huge, walk-in shower didn't drain well. Called the front desk and within 10 minutes a nice man with a bottle of Draino turned up, put it down the drain, and said it should be fine. It wasn't. So the next day they pulled up the cover and cleaned it all manually, then said it would be fine. It wasn't. Oh well, old buildings, I guess. Anyway, it was a minor irritation and we'll never stay anywhere else in our future trips to New Orleans.

We came here for afternoon tea, and it was such a treat. This is the perfect option if you want a relaxing afternoon with a beautiful surrounding. The tea was delicious as were the scones/desserts. One thing to note is the space is shared with a bar, so if it is football season be prepared to see that up on the big screens. Overall, a lovely experience!

We had a great experience at this RC. The staff was friendly, complimentary beignets were served to guests every afternoon and the live jazz in the evenings was a nice touch. The courtyard is beautiful as well. The room finishings were a bit tired but otherwise a very pleasant hotel.

Excellent place to stay. Every single staff person makes you feel special. Rooms are wonderfully appointed, well maintained and very comfortable. Beds are fantastic. The BEST shower with perfect water pressure. Housekeeping staff are all friendly and sincerely attentive to your needs. Everyone in this hotel makes you feel welcomed. Loved seeing Jeremy Davenport and his talented band at the hotel’s Davenport lounge. Excellent hotel with superior customer service. Ask for courtyard view.

This is such a beautiful hotel. We’ve stayed here a couple times and have never been disappointed. The service is always great and employees are so friendly. The location is perfect. Room service was delicious and we received it in a timely manner. Top notch hotel! Won’t stay anywhere else in New Orleans!

Loved everything about the stay. This trip was my first time at a Ritz-Carlton and the service was truly exceptional. Very nice rooms and the location was very near several amazing restaurants.

Our stay at the Ritz Carlton (New Orleans was truly delightful. The elegant holiday decor brought joy to my heart and a smile to our face. The room was beautiful and the service was top notch. The holiday spirit was in full swing from the hot chocolate and beignets in the lobby to the daily delivery of fresh fruit to our room. The view of the festive courtyard and live jazz at the Davenport lounge was the cheery cherry on top. Thank you for a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, it was a pleasure to be a guest at this fine hotel.
