Quiet Speakeasy Vibes 🍸🥃

Spent a weekend in Baton Rouge and decided to check this place out. We did not try or ask for food as we had dinner plans already. But the service was awesome! Sadly our bartender was moving on to another career but I will be back for sure.

On the interior, you will find PLENTY of seating with chairs and couches to create little pockets of relax zones. There was even a back parlor for additional seating out of the main space. Dimly lit but not dark really gives that speakeasy vibe 😎

We tried the Champagne Cocktail and a French 75 to start. I have never tried a CC, but it’s essentially bitters, brandy, sugar cube and topped with champagne. Very fresh and I love a bubble 🥂! To close out, we got an Old Fashioned and a Dirty Martini 🍸

Great vibe, atmosphere, and friendly bartender staff! Happy hour drink prices until 7pm. Thursday has live jazz music 7:30p-10:30p.

These bartenders are very experienced and know what they’re doing. No dinner options (sometimes charcuterie board).

Great place for drinks and music! A hidden gem!

Met a friend there…she insisted I check with his place out because I would love the aesthetic. Let me say, she was right! Stopped in and sat at bar. What a cozy place. Great atmosphere, along with festively done right and tastefully. We chatted at the bar, with a delicious Old Fashion. Had some of the Happy Hour gumbo, which was actually pretty great, too. Loved our bar tender, as well. Not bad for a quick stop for a drink. If I’m ever in town again, this is a definite stop for me

I went here on a Wednesday night on a date and it was such a cozy and nostalgic experience. The drink selection is amazing as well as the jazz music that carries along in your background. I’m definitely going to be back here sooner than soon.

We rented the back room on Friday night for my sisters welcome party after her rehearsal dinner, and it was incredible! We had about 20 people show up and were glad we rented the space for a few hours because the venue was packed. We had a bartender who waited on us the whole time, but were also allowed to go to the bar. The drinks were great, and the atmosphere was fun! We will definitely be back!

HS has that speakeasy feel but it's in plain sight. The service and cocktails were spot on and the furnishings were very comfortable. Our group of 4 had no problem getting seats at 7:30 but within the hour the lounge was starting to fill up.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere! Took a few minutes to get service, but the drinks were great. The bartenders only added to the vibe and made it worth the wait. I definitely recommend checking out Hayride Scandal. It's a great place just to have a drink and be in a chill atmosphere with friends or a date.

This place has phenomenal aesthetic and cozy corners! Great place to grab a drink and linger over conversation. The lighting is moody. There’s many seating areas that you can socialize or find an intimate spot.

The one downside is that it’s drinks only. Bar bites would be a great addition.

Great local mixology cocktail bar- great classic drinks and some with a twist, all with stories behind them. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Inside ambiance is perfect to escape solo, with friends or on a date night. There's even a private room in the back with its own bar for private events! Will definitely be back when I'm in town and can't wait to check out their new beach bar concept opening later this summer Pelican to Mars...

Fantastic atmosphere! Great band playing and music was awesome! Enjoyed the evening with great drinks and fantastic music! Very classy.

We hosted a grad toast/party in their private room and I cannot say enough about how perfect it was. Remi - top notch guy! Easy to deal with and went out of his way to make our family and friends feel welcomed and created a great time. Recommend for any function! Beautiful space. Great cocktails. Great people.

Outstanding atmosphere with great mixologists. They also have a good selection of whiskey and scotches but be warned the good stuff is pretty pricey.

Awesome cocktail bar with inventive drinks and amazing atmosphere. Was visiting family for graduation weekend and we made several visits throughout the week. Each time we were impressed by the friendly staff and will definitely be recommend anyone to check this place out. Especially felt comfortable for a diverse crowd of people to gather and feel safe.

This is a great little Prohibition style bar. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit its dark and cozy and usually not too loud, although it is a little too loud and very crowded for me on Saturday nights. They have an excellent selection of whiskey and cocktails to choose from. Suspenders Brian is my favorite bartender here, you can tell he actually has a passion for mixology and likes to learn and experiment. The other Brian is awesome and knowledgeable as well and the rest of the staff are all friendly and make awesome drinks. If you want a first class classic cocktail or even something more creative this is the bar to go to.

FAVORITE bar in Baton Rouge, I would think! The atmosphere is so great and cozy. Bartenders are super attentive and personal, they aren't rude and just move on to the next person. They'll have conversations with you and build a relationship! Drinks are phenomenal, and the bartenders are open to creating something new for you that you've never tried before. Doesn't always have to be straight from the "menu." They also do free food Monday's and Tuesday's, which I love. That being said, the food is also delicious. Would recommend this place to anyone!
