Ruby Slipper Cafe

I absolutely love this place! My favorite brunch spot. Ask for Julian when you go. He’s very personable and always on his A game. The breakfast tacos are my go to and the white chocolate bread pudding pancakes are to die for. I’m not a fan of the flavors on the mimosa flight but everything else I have had there has been great!

We came on a very busy Sunday and our server, Julien, made us feel like we were his only table. Very calming during a busy time. The food was exactly what I expected, hot and yummy! Thank you for sharing the love for brunch with us!

During our dining experience we enjoyed taking in all of the decor and the fun atmosphere. Every employee was so kind and attentive. Our waiter Marcus was top notch! Thank you Ruby Slipper for a wonderful breakfast!!!

This was my first time visiting and I love this place so much! The candied bacon was my favorite.
And my server Nikki was amazing!! I'm 100% going to request her every time. I can't wait to bring a friend! ❤

Guys listen, I keep getting raw biscuits in my Uber eats like literally not even brown and RAW DOUGH IN THE CENTER. This has got to stop. I’m a loyal customer and I’ve given you five stars despite the raw biscuits. I WOULD HAVE A WORD WITH YOUR KITCHEN AND EXPO. Not cool if I had fined in I don’t think this would be the case. Get it together.

I was surprised to see an all black staff because the locations in New Orleans are staffed completely different. The entire staff was pleasant, efficient, and professional. Not only that but the three little pig’s omelette and toast was so good! Also, I ordered the French toast and it was good as well. If I’m ever back in BR, I will gladly visit again. I told my coworkers in BR about the location as well as let them taste the food. Please visit, you will not be disappointed. Definitely a 10/10 crew!

Demarcus was awesome! We had a large party with kids, and he was amazing getting their food at ASAP. Being completely attentive to their needs! We will definitely be back! Look at this coffee!

Demarcus and Destiny service was amazing. They took the time out to make sure we knew what was good to eat on the menu. They explained what came with the meal and if they thought it was a good choice . I got the French toast bites and I have to say they were amazing. I could eat them all the time the serving size was just right . We also order the flight and the watermelon mimosas that was my favorite. I also got the classic French toast and a side of eggs which I think was a great choice. Overall I’ll be back there again

Cute cafe! The servers were all extremely nice and attentive. The buttermilk biscuits were nice and thick, not so much flaky. I like thick dense biscuits so they were perfect for me. The eggs were also delicious. Great stop for our road-trip!

My family and I went to the Ruby Slipper for our first time and was blown away by the great service and food that we experienced. By joining the wait list via their website allowed us to quickly get seated. We didn't have to wait long for our food and everything tasted absolutely delicious!

We can't wait to go back the next time we're in Baton Rouge.

Great place for breakfast. The chicken French toast with French toast bites was perfect. They also serve drinks. Service was great. Our host was friendly and informative about the menu!

The omelets are incredible and fluffy. The Salmon Benedict was very very good however the salmon was salty.

Burger was delicious. Pancakes were as well!

I’ve been here 3 times now around 9am for brunch. The way it is either five minutes or immediately that early. Doesn’t hurt to make reservations though. The biscuits are great! It’s a taste of New Orleans.

We called ahead and got on the waitlist so only waited about 10 minutes before being seated. The vanilla spiced latte was awesome to start. I ordered the white chocolate pancakes and they were delicious. No need for the syrup they served with them; the white chocolate sauce was amazing! Will definitely be back here….if I’m ever in Baton Rouge again!!🤣

Our breakfast and mimosa flight was delicious and every plate that the servers walked past with looked amazing ! We were told an hour wait which was only 20 minutes! Loved the gulf shrimp omlette!

Stopped by here with my wife for our first time in Baton Rouge and was definitely impressed. Our bartender was amazing, wonderful service and the food was delicious. Ordered the candied bacon as an appetizer and was blown away! We will be back!

Julien was a phenomenal server. He was attentive and prompt. The presentation of the food was fantastic. It was hot when it arrived and tasted wonderful. Highly recommend a visit to this establishment

Today I had an awesome experience at Ruby Slipper in Baton Rouge on Perkins Road. My waitress was Deshana and the Manager was Rickey. They were wonderful and effective- very kind.
I placed my order. She knew the menu well. She was able to offer suggestions and she’s definitely a people’s person. So helpful and such a genuine, kind-spirited, young woman. The manager, Mr. Rickey spoke to us and made sure we felt invited and recognized us—gave us table time. Service was exceptional and the food was MAGNIFICENT!!
Would I recommend this establishment to others? Without a reservation!

Demarcus was our waiter and he was amazing! Before we were seated, we were waiting outside on the patio and freezing- he came out there to check on us and lit the heaters so we would be warm while waiting! He ended up being our waiter when we were seated inside and took care of us with just the right amount of attention- not too much and not too little! When we go back, we will definitely ask for him!!
