We love the Sazerac bar. Not only is it gorgeous, but the service is sublime. Cocktails are always top-notch. Sometimes, a rowdy crowd comes in and stand out like a sore thumb. (This is really more of a light jazz and good conversation kind of bar)
The bar is well provisioned, and skilled staff will create exceptional libations. All the New Orleans classics are available. Best French 75 in town 😉 Also they have a really good top-shelf/Rare sips menu.

Sazerac House was an incredible experience! We had an engaging and informative walking tour that delved into the rich history of Sazerac, rum, and cognac. Each exhibit concluded with a delightful, curated drink. Be sure to visit the distillery on the first floor—bourbon enthusiasts will particularly enjoy the heavenly aroma. This is a must-do activity in Vieux Carré!

Truly this place hearkens to a more elegant time. It's like stepping back into the 1930s. Elegance takes precedent here. If you're only going to have one drink I would suggest the Ramos Gin fizz. It's hard to find anyone in New Orleans who makes one and they do an excellent job.

As expected, the service was excellent. The bartender was able to create a non-menu drink for us based on taste preference. The staff performed their job in a sanitary way. The space is historic and feels like a trip back in time. My only issue is that it got pretty loud since there's little in the way of sound dampening.

We love the Sazerac Bar. This is a definite old school saloon with great historic touches. The mixologists here are professionals and can likely make any cocktail you can request. The service is good but the place stays very busy. Expect to sit patiently and wait to be served. I am not aware of any food served here but the Fountain lounge next door serves food. A great old bar with really well crafted cocktails.

This beautiful historical bar is a definite must visit in New Orleans. The knowledgeable bar staff mix & pour exceptional drinks.
High End / Top Shelf liquors. The bar itself is something to marvel at...stunning bygone days art deco craftsmanship, paintings and fixtures.
I really enjoyed my time spent here.

Went for a Ramos Gin Fizz and it was an amazing experience! Jonah our bartender welcomed us warmly and put on a show while making our Gin Fizzes. We went in the afternoon and the atmosphere in the Sazerac Bar was perfect. The light was low, the wood made it feel warm, there was fun conversation and the drinks were flowing. The Gin Fizz was perfectly prepared and was amazingly tasty. A must when in NOLA.

Absolutely amazing experience! We had Eric as a bartender and he made us the Jungle Bird and the Sazerac as well as the Henry Ramos Gin Fizz! The ambiance, service and quality of the drinks were impeccable! We came back on our way out! Will be back next time!

I had a great time at the Sazerac Bar.

I came during the day, when the bar was quite empty, and I liked the silence so I could absorb the looking of this fine place.

Sochi the bartender was fantastic!

She even gave me a history lesson on sazerac, which was very interesting.

Classy upscale bar with bartenders that know exactly how to make the best drinks. A tad on the pricey side but honestly keeps the clientele and experience closer to what you’d expect from a bar hotel such as this. Sometimes you want bourbon street, and sometimes you want a quiet and muted environment. From cocktails to food to the roaring 20’s decor, make sure to check it out.

We had a food and beverage credit and decided to use it to get some drinks at the bar.
I'm not much of a drinker and asked the server what she recommended for something sweet and not alcohol-forward. She recommended the bananas foster cocktail, I couldn't really taste the banana as it was very rum-forward. Although I didn't really enjoy my chosen drink, the vibe of this bar was very relaxed. The drinks here are quite pricey but since we had a food and beverage credit, it didn't matter to us. But if you're paying out of pocket, this is not a cheap place to drink at.

Quaint bar tucked away inside the Waldorf. Nice getaway right off of Canal Street. Seating is limited when it is crowded but you have table and bar seating available for single patrons and large groups. Drinks are about $15-20 each. The bartenders are professional and attentive. The traffic is nice and pleasant. Diversity is welcome here. Should you decide to take your drink on the road, look for the plastic to-go cups near the day. Enjoy!

Our cocktails were average to above average, but what really sold this was the atmosphere and the service. We were fortunate to get Eric as our bartender, and he was excellent! We'd return just to people watch and watch his skills at the bar. Attentive without being in your face, great night!

My sister and I went here three times during our six day stay during Halloween. Lol! LOVE this place! Had the famous Sazerac cocktail and shared a Espresso Martini. SO delicious!!! The vibe and decor are chill and sexy. The bartenders treat us like we’re royalty. Especially Jonah was fun!

While there are more bars in New Orleans then there are mosquitos (maybe), this is one of my all time favorite bars. Cool temperature and style wise), sophisticated without being pretentious, fantastic drinks made by true professionals, and located in the historic Roosevelt Hotel. Drinks are a bit pricy but this is a spot to sip and savor.

Exactly what you'd want from a hotel bar! Bartenders were great, they even gave us some recommendations for other bars in the area to check out. We had just come from Sazerac House and wanted a cocktail. This was very close and checked all the boxes. Very spacious so lots of tables and seats at the bar. Was a popular spot even on a Friday afternoon and we got the last two bar seats. Several couches were open, though!

You found a bar with arguably a perfect sazerac. Their rye base is excellent, and their cognac base using Pierre Ferrand is even better. The gin fizz created here is also probably the best you'll find in NOLA. Apart from their drinks, this bar is elegant. The lighting is dim enough to set the mood but bright enough so you can read the menu. You should make it a point to stop by here any time you're in the area it might be the best hotel bar in the country.
