Firefly Taps and Grill

We were invited here by Amelia Fowler. She and I had worked together at Sagebrush in Canton a few years back and for the past 3 years we have went to Sagebrush for our anniversary and she always waited on us. We were all disappointed that this year Sagebrush has closed down and we had no idea where we were going to go so we were delighted with the invite!

At first we were a little disappointed because Amelia wasn't there, but they told us we would see her before we left. The food was amazing and before we were done here came Amelia (even though she wasn't working) with a beautiful flower, a card signed by most of the staff (a lot of whom had also worked at Sagebrush), and a $25 gift card!

All of this was so unexpected and made us feel so very special!!!

Thank you to everyone at Firefly for making our night so great! Especially Amelia.. you are one of a kind! We both said "you don't find people like that anymore" about you. Thank you Thank you Thank you! :)

One of the absolute best places in Waynesville. The staff is incredible. The food on a scale of 1 to 10 is a solid 10. Sierra and Cheyenne are wonderful servers. Not sure how it could improve. I ordered the veg pasta with steak. It arrived hot including the steak, it was just not an ad on. Cooked medium rare as requested. Perfect!

Came in on a Saturday night and they had great live music. Good draft beer selection and they offer samplers. Very tasty food. As you can see I had the smothered chicken breast with a side of Mac and cheese and sweet potato tots. They were delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with how tasty the food was for a tap room. They told me everything is locally sourced and made fresh.

Great place to eat. We were visiting the area and went back to eat a few times. The burgers, salad, chicken salad, and cheese fries were excellent. Save room for dessert, the chocolate molten cake was kid approved. 😀 Casual dress, staff was friendly, prices reasonable.

Huge shout out to Firefly Taps and Grill for giving my kids lunch today! We have been online with teachers and studying from home. It was so nice to give them a call and quickly pick up lunch for them. We live nearby and it saved me a ton of time and helped ease the burden today. They are making sure kids K-12 have lunch for free right now. Blessings to them and he told my kids, "Hey we all have to pull together right now." Gracie says it is the best chicken "me" ever had and Aidan is in love with the fires. Thank you Guys!

My husband and I had lunch here today. I was impressed at being greeted with a smiling young lady who showed us to a table. Husband had a fantastic cheeseburger. It was perfectly cooked and he says it tasted even better than it looked. I had the Caesar Salad with grilled chicken. It was wonderful. The dressing was perfectly tossed in... not to much and not to little. I love the homemade croutons too. I really liked the decor in the building. There was always something to fun to look at on the wall. There's a great vibe here and I know when we travel back through this area we will make it a point to stop by again.

Wonderful experience, the service, the beer, the food, the interior design all great and of course for good price. Few places fill up my criteria the way this establishment did. We do recomend though to arrive early as parking on premises are short at times. We had to park about a block away in the middle of the sun but if you don't mind it won't mess up your experience. The rainbow trout and the pasta my wife ordered where amazing fully recomended

As some of you may know, I travel a lot, and I gotta say, this place is GREAT.. Try the fish tacos with Brussels on the side.. ask for Caroline

Great time visiting Firefly for the first time. Brussels sprouts were tasty and that's all I had, but neighboring diners had really delicious looking foods. The chicken salad dish was piled high with chicken and vegetables. All looked GREAT and I loved the menu choices but I just wanted drinks and an appetizer. I would definitely go back. Service was very good and all servers were helpful offering choices and giving good information. It seemed like the staff was in sync and ready to please and make customers feel welcome. Great job y'all!

Highly recommend this restaurant, great food! I will definitely return! We had Cheese Fries for Appetizers they were excellent , no gravy no onion. They have the yummiest cheese sauce, they use it on the fries and in their mac and cheese.
Country chic atmosphere, laid back comfortable establishment. Our waitress was excellent, very knowledgeable and considerate. An all together sweet person.

We have tried to be loyal to this restaurant through the past 2 owners. However, over the past several months, we attempted to eat there. 3 times we left our name and phone number on a waiting list for a table. We were told it would be about a half hour-all 3 times we were never called back and ended up eating elsewhere. I read there was a new owner, we went Sunday night and were immediately served. The hostess Sarah was sweet and such an improvement over the past hostess! Our sever was Tristan and he was attentive and excellent. They are doing some renovations and have a new menu. Food was excellent and we will definitely be back.

We had a very nice experience here! A lot of the waitstaff were obviously new and a few very minor mistakes were made here and there, but given how hard restaurants were hit because of the pandemic it’s totally understandable. They were extremely friendly and the food was incredible. I haven’t had fried chicken that good in a long time. Our waiter, Ian, was very sweet and super accommodating. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Waynesville.

This is by far the best restaurant such a great atmosphere and such nice employees. Always super friendly when you walk in the door.. The menu options were amazing. I am one who doesn't ever finish my entire meal but I have to say I actually finished my entire meal. I ordered the hamburger with fries. It was cooked to perfection and it is hard to find a place with such an amazing hamburger but it was amazing. I will most certainly recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone I come across .. Everyone needs to try it.. I will most certainly be going back every time I am in town. The staff was so super friendly, the place was super clean and they had amazing live music going on.

Came here for brunch and was so happy. The food was GREAT! the hostess Madison welcomed us in with a warm friendly greeting and set the tone for a good time. Our waitress Angie was fun, nice, and gave wonderful suggestions. Loved this place!

We visited Waynesville over fall break and came back to this place all 3 days to eat. It was that good! I have a very picky teen and he went on and on how good the chicken tenders and hamburger tasted. We also had the chicken waffles that was the best we have ever had. The servers were super friendly, wait time not too bad. The atmosphere was very cozy. Highly recommend!

Tourist to the area. My family and I were drawn by the smell of the food. So our server, Madison, was an absolute delight. Very friendly, engaging, and courteous to us all. She was the best part of the our visit.

Now to the food. The food was good. Our appetizers: Wings, Cheese Curds, and Fried Pickles. All 3 were very good and hot and fresh. In terms of our entrées, they were good but they came out very slow. Now this was because they did the food fresh, as in they took the time to make it when you order and not just open a package and heat it, so be aware if wait times seem long.

Overall, very good food and a great atmosphere to the restaurant and I highly recommend this place to any visitors.

Went for date night with my husband and I got the 8oz sirloin with fries and fried okra and it was all absolutely amazing! The steak was cooked perfectly and had great flavor, the fries and fried okra were amazing! Our waiter Ian was super nice and friendly! We will definitely be going back!

This place really surprised my fiancé and I in the best way. We came in after a long hike, sat at the bar, and enjoyed - well everything. Food came out so hot and fresh you could see the heat rising off of it. Beer selection was on point and bartender was knowledgeable in gearing us towards a good selection we enjoyed. Menu had lots of options and nothing disappointed (and we tried a lot - we were hungry!). If you’re looking for a great casual spot for some beer and classic American fare - this spot on main street should definitely be on your list!
