The top level is lodged with high-quality toys, games, puzzles, and art sets for kids and adults. The lower level includes a section for babies and books and educational games for all ages, as well as a quiet book store with an impressive selection of books and gifts for everyone! My daughter loved the expansive young adult section, I enjoy the faith based books, Bible studies, cookbooks, and journals. This place is impressive to say the least. We love going here!

I really enjoy going into this store. Such a happy atmosphere. I go in for their book selection and greeting cards to which never disappoints. Huge selection of games, puzzles and toys. Friendly staff as well

Wonderful and fun atmosphere! I great collection of puzzles, books, and toys. I particularly loved the book section downstairs. The staff members were so friendly! I wish I'd been able to stay longer.

Such an amazing place, toy stores are so rare these days! We bought several things for my daughter here and she loves every one of them. They have a huge selection for all ages. They even gave mini houses and gardens and stuff you can put together. I just love this place, It's so cute!

Sassafras has definitely become a local favorite for us, especially with all the books and gifts for book lovers, as well as the wonderful greeting cards, puzzles, and other items. I love going here to purchase gifts for friends and family, and the employees are wonderful people as well!

I wish i could give more than 5 stars because this place is well deserving of more! My daughter loved pushing around the kid size buggy and filling it up with everything she could get her hands on! There is a wide variety of toys & games. The lower level has baby gifts, and tons of books for children and adults. The staff is so incredibly friendly!

Wonderful little game shop and book store. Such a great selection of books, from poetry and an astonishingly wide variety of fiction books (especially Becky Chambers and Tamsyn Muir), and a lot of great D&D materials well. the staff is super helpful and created a great welcoming atmosphere; would love to come back here!

This store is amazing!! The staff is very kind and helpful. One employee noticed my daughter was wearing a Harry Potter robe and told her where everything Harry Potter was in the store so she could look at it. They have a tons of toys, Legos, books, puzzles and other fun things. My kids were in Heaven when they walked into Sassafras on Main!! I definitely know where we will be doing most of birthday shopping this year and our Christmas shopping from now on!!

This is one of the coolest puzzle/game stores I have been too. They had a wide variety of books, games, puzzles, crafts, and unique items for both kids and adults. The employees were helpful and friendly. I would definitely go back there!

Nice shop, so much to take in for both adults and kids of all ages. Many intriguing group and 1-person games/entertainment to choose from.

If they don’t have it, they can likely get it. I inquired about different book topics, some of which they had inventory on and the willingness to order related books on a topic they didn’t yet have readily available in-store.

Probably the best toy store I've ever been to! Lots of really interesting and unique toys, but also the popular things like bakugan and legos. The little bookstore downstairs makes it really neat. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

This is the best toy store I think I’ve ever been in! It also has an excellent array of games, crafts, books, stationary for adults - it’s like the mecca of stores for gifts. I really appreciate that the toys they have seem to be purposefully chosen to inspire development and imaginative play. A lot of Melissa and Doug toys, Hape toys and Green toys. Which are always my go tos. I live in Mills River but we love to visit Waynesville and will make sure this is a stop when we go.

They have toys and things for literally all ages. From toddlers to nearly adults there is something for you. The staff was great and the store was clean, uncluttered and large.
