Mast General Store Waynesville

This place is super cool and a must see each time I’m in the Waynesville area. The selection of things is amazing and the basement with the candy is my favorite. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The place is clean and inventory is always displayed nicely.

I love to come and browse around Mast General Store! They sell so many unique and old timey items. The old creaky floors have so much charm. We have been here many times and today we brought some of our family from out of town. They absolutely loved this store!

Located on Main Street in Waynesville, North Carolina, this general store with old hardwood floors has two floors. The first level has many clothing and shoe options for men, women, and kids. The basement level has kitchen gadgets, toys, gifts, fresh popped popcorn, and lots of candy sold by the pound. They have lots of bins and baskets with a large variety of treats. The employees are very friendly. They do have one public restroom in the basement.

Whenever we are in the Smoky Mountains, we love to drive over to Historic Waynesville and visit the little shops. One of our favorites is the Mast General Store, right on Main Street. They have a large selection of old fashioned candy, in barrels, located in their downstairs area. Our grandkids think Nonney and PawPaw bring back the coolest candy! The Mast General Store has several locations in the US, but Waynesville is our favorite. They also have “old timey” toys, books, kitchen gadgets, clothing, shoes, and more. Check them out!

Wonderful place, been here several times now, it's a must visit from us (visitors from the UK 🇬🇧).

Best department store in modern times and pet friendly as a bonus! Three stories with old times things and modern things too. Great selection, interesting browsing, friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

I absolutely love this store! The variety of merchandise ranges from locally sourced relishes, jams, and sauces, to old-school candy in barrels, high quality casual clothes, knives, shoes, and more. Something for everybody!

Love this local gem. It is a bit expensive but you can find great gifts and the candy store downstairs is terrific. The staff is always friendly.

This is a great outdoor shop, very friendly and always can find someone who can help me out. Love that it’s a three story store and gives lots of options. Hope y’all enjoy this place as much as I do!!! P.S they have a lot of the good outdoor brands!

This place is HUGE!! But, it's got tons of unique items to buy! And, the candy selection will take you back in time! We loved it!

Awesome store. Lot's of old time candy selections for the older folks (younger also). Great toy selections from the past. Literally took a trip back to my childhood. We walked out with Gumby and a few other selections. We need more stores like this.

Love going to any of the mast stores. You can almost always find some great deals, and if you've got a sweet tooth, the candy barrels are just the thing you need.

This is a very nice downtown store with a lot of good, quality clothing. There are 2 stories. They carry toys, gifts, clothing, shoes, jewelry, candy, souvenirs, and more.

Great selection, friendly and helpful staff. Unlike the Boone location, there is plenty of free close parking, and I hope they lobby to keep it that way.

Right on Main Street in downtown Waynesville, this Mast General Store is so fun to visit. It has three floors to explore. The main floor has most of your clothing and a huge choice in footwear for outdoor activities. Upstairs is mostly camping and trail items. Downstairs is candy and housewares. A definite must visit, when in Waynesville!
