The Blue Parrot Grill

Great service and food. Pleasantly surprised by the staff at the bar. We ordered food to-go and the guy taking my order was very nice and as I was waiting on the boat with our family someone brought us our food which I definitely wasn't expecting. The order was completed in about 15 minutes which was way shorter than I expected for a Friday night. Two adults and 2 kids both enjoyed the food and the price was not outrageous. We will definitely make it back a couple of times this summer.

Decided to go here to eat after seeing Hades Town Play I'm Charlotte. The Atmosphere was really cool. An outdoor Tiki Bar. The weather was perfect The night we went. The food all looked really good and the Drinks were Amazing! I got the honey mustard smothered chicken with mushrooms and cheese. My mom got the fried shrimp. It was like Jumbo shrimp. It was really good then our friends got the MahiMahi with the crab cake, which was probably the BEST crab cake we both had ever had. Would definitely go back there again!

This place had an excellent vibe and beautiful location. The view of the lake while dining was a great birthday celebration. The music selection was awesome and the atmosphere was remarkable. I recommend this restaurant for a summer weekend hangout spot .

Very lively, colorful place. The scallop salad was huge. The crab cakes were more bread than crab and the spinach dip with tortilla chips was a generous portion, however it was oily probably because it was made from scratch.
We would definitely come back and try something else on the menu.
The server was attentive and the prices were reasonable.

This place gives you the feel of being in the Carribean islands! The music was awesome and food was great! Service from our waitress was good. They had a variety to choose from on the menu so that no one is left out. I'd definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Can't wait to go back!! 😋

Never thought I would find “beach food” and “beach vibe” here! Food and atmosphere did not disappoint. Service by Emma was the highlight. Emma was such a good server, she knows the menu and was so helpful. Her customer skills is top notch. A very welcoming young lady with positivity. Keep hiring people like Emma! Thanks for a good birthday for my wife. ;)

We have visited this lakeside restaurant a few times, and always had a good experience.
The food is well prepared and leans heavily to seafood. Fish and shellfish are predominant.
Although there are other choices, most offers are fried, but well done and not greasy.
The ambiance is "on the water" with boats coming in and going out. Relaxed and informal.
There is Caribbean like live music, probably only on weekends.
The servers and service are good and is a busy place at peak times.
Parking is ample, word of advice... no heels, parking lot is on a fairly steep hill. Besides... these would be out of place 😄
All in all, an enjoyable, fairly priced restaurant where you'll have a good time and good food. Yes, drinks too.

This one of the few places that serves food on the water in the area. If you're looking for a good atmosphere and can afford spending more then check this place out.

Best place on the lake to feel like you're on vacation and still have delicious food. Can't beat the atmosphere, and the staff is always great. My favorite place for sunset dinner and drinks

My boyfriend and I stumbled across this gem a few years ago. I must say, we love Blue Parrot! The food and service is always on point.. Can't wait for the nice weather so we can come more often!

Went for drinks and apps, drinks were good. Apps were good, but fried calamari was a bit chewy. Had a great time, though. Wait staff was great

The parking lot is on a hill but there are some spots closer to the restaurant is walking is a challenge. The restaurant sits on beautiful Lake Norman and serves great food at this beautiful spot. The house salad, yup, the plain old house salad is one of the best and is offered with some different dressings. The mahi mahi was outstanding as was the plate of nachos. A day at the beach speciality drink was great. The server was attentive, friendly and professional. Great atmosphere, food and drinks.

Whatever you do, be sure to try the crab cakes. Ring the ATF because those things are dyn-a-mite! (Yep, I'm a boomer). Also, there is direct boat access to this property. The driveway is a bit steep so be careful with your baby carriage.

AYYYYYYYYEEE!!! YOOOO!!!! When I say this place is WONDERFUL!! Legit,very relaxing environment right on the water.Drinks are delicious & quite strong (they the best kind...they sneak up on you😉) & food was fresh,cooked to order & pleasantly seasoned. Waitress & the entire staff were so lovely,even while being short staffed! A MUST if you are in the area!!!!

Wow! I am usually very stingy with my 5 stars!

Between the stunning view of lake and sunset, almost as good as Hilton Head (Not quite, Big hwy it’s not even an ocean view but you won’t even notice:), And the amazing Mahi Mahi with crab and the Trio plate and the delicious molten chocolate lava!

Service was also great as kids found the fried fish platter lacking any taste, but swiftly addressed and taken off bill and server was very fast and professional, And always smiling, Thank you Ashley!!

It’s 50 miles away from south Charlotte but it was worth even more time and money!

What a hidden gem!!!!

Great spot to boat to on the lake. Decent amount of dock space for boats. Food is great and service is always speedy and friendly.

Amazing food right on Lake Norman. Service is a little slow, but it is crowded on a Thursday. I had Grilled Talapia with Plantains and Coleslaw.

Be aware this is an outdoor restaurant.

Our first time - and definitely not our last! A Parrothead, lakefront, let's party kind of place with a very kind staff! I had the Monterey Chicken Sandwich and my wife had the French Dip. Both were really good!

We come here by boat and bring our dog. The food and drinks are great! The view is magnificent. The service was wonderful, too. Talia was a great server.

Great views of the lake. Casual outdoor dining. Good food. Friendly service. Owner visited our table to say hello. A+++
