Toucan's Lakefront

Came to Toucan's tonight...walked into an absolutely lovely experience and had an amazing server, Kristen! The atmosphere of this restaurant is great - I usually don't even care about stuff like that, but it's so relaxing and pretty! I can't wait to come in again over the summer to be on the patio. Kristen made sure we had refills and were enjoying our time and food. She was so pleasant and friendly, the epitome of good service!!

Came for a late lunch and really enjoyed ourselves. All of the staff were genuinely welcoming and friendly. Waitress was just plain awesome. Had the crab cake sandwich. While it wouldn’t win any awards in the Chesapeake Bay Area, it was huge and tasty. Definitely got my moneys worth and would recommend. Had the side of mixed veggies which was just all right. But this is marina style food and I was just glad it wasn’t fried. The views and seating were also fantastic.

Liv was AMAZING! She has the perfect personality for a lakefront bar where people come to chill. Super friendly dock hand too - helped tie us off our boat and had our table ready when we reached the deck. Great food, dog friendly, and an awesome air-conditioned inside for those who can’t hack the heat. Love Toucan’s!

Great food and atmosphere. First time here. Place was packed but they had it dialed in. Great drinks. Sat on the deck over the lake. Fun place.

Awesome food, and drinks with service always top notch. Water access is easy with plenty of slips.

Great food. Beautiful view! I had the coconut shrimp which is a favorite of mine and it was wonderful! The fried mushrooms were also delicious! My 6 year old daughter ordered the spaghetti and thought it was delicious as well!

Very nice place to have an outdoor sunset dinner. All of the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The menu is very diverse. Can't go wrong. Fun drinks! Definitely will be back.

Great food, experience, and atmosphere! We had Liv as our waitress and she was great! Funny, knowledgeable and on top of everything, highly recommend her!
None of our food choices were bad, all was delish, and definitely worth getting again. We sat outside with only a 20min wait on a Fri night was great!!! Definitely would come back, all of Livs recommendations were delish! Can't go wrong with the fried pickles either! Sunset margarita 🍹 😋 food portions were huge! Outside Dog friendly too

If you order an appetizer, be prepared for a large entree. Amazing quality food and service. Fun and laid back atmosphere, sometimes a band playing. Sit outside overlooking the lake or inside in the a.c. Definitely a great spot for families and friends.

Awesome place to eat, the atmosphere was great. I think we got the best seat in the place outside. Food and service was fantastic. Melt in your mouth steak and shrimp.

Carah was our waitress. Absolutely precious and was very personable. The fried pickles were amazing. The fried oysters were the best I have had anywhere. I had the tacos carne asada which was banging. My fiance had the chicken quesadillas. They were very tasty. I really can't complain that much. Everything was a 5 star.

It was really awesome eating outside next to the lake! Drinks were really good and food was cooked perfectly!

I had lunch here with my mom, Godmother, and mom's friend! They are the original OLGs! I love spending time with these mature seniors. They were the ones who found out about this place! Lovely atmosphere, great service, and tasty food! The drive from Charlotte was scenic and peaceful. Next time, I'll bring my girls so we can rent jetskis as the restaurant sits directly on the water at the marina on Lake Norman. The menu is vast and has something for everyone! I think I found my seafood happy place!!! 😊

We pulled up by water at 12:30 pm Tuesday, July 26. Waitress seated us immediately inside by the window. Ordered a Guinness and Bud light. Nachos with chicken for an appetizer. Crispy nacho chips with grilled chicken and chopped tomatoes and cheese. Not soggy at all even at the very bottom. We ate it all. Key lime pie w whipped cream was not great. Soggy crust. Whipped cream was drippy. But the ambiance, service, music and overall experience was positive.

Amazing food and amazing drinks. The atmosphere makes it feel like you’re at the beach. Service was good even though they were so busy. I recommend not going at rush hour.

Ordered Shrimp Tacos. Looked great tasted great. Definitely would try other food when im back.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE ALL AROUND. Menu is MASSIVE and the food we ordered was incredible. Our server Adayla was outstanding and hustled with every one of her tables. This place is so worth the boat ride or drive. I rarely if ever give restaurants 5 stars but this one totally earned it. Goodbye North Harbor Club and Port City. Toucans is levels above either of them.

The food was so flavorful and the service was great. The fried plantains were perfect! My one "complaint" was that my fish was slightly overcooked, but it was still good. It was nice sitting outside with a nice view of Lake Norman. Thank you!

Been meaning to check out Toucans for a while and finally got the chance. We are primarily seafood eaters and this place had it all. I had the steamed shrimp and my daughter had fried. The wait for the outdoor seats was worth 30 minutes. Talk about a great menu, great service, and a great view. I highly suggest you try it out!
