I am a nurse and was outraged at the lack of respect for their pts at this ER. I took my mother there for chest pain because it was the closest ER to her house. First of all, we waited in their ER for over 3 hours without having an EKG done. Second, at around hour 2, I guess one of their ER nurses' family comes in through the ER front door and the little boy, her son, has a visible rash on his neck. This lady has the ball to say in front of everyone "Come with me sweetie Dr. ____ will take a look at this real quick." Are you kidding me? Talk about priority of care. She could at least have them come in the back door instead of rubbing it on our faces! I asked for the charge nurse who dismissed my concerns with annoyance. So third: I will never go there again! Thank God my mom was not having a heart attack! She was having anxiety, which is what I suspected it was but had to rule out anything more serious for my peace of mind. 0 respect from the staff! 0! Not even an apology!
*Edit: The rest of the hospital is wonderful! My son had some outpatient testing done and everything was smooth sailing. I still don't like the ER though. My grandma was there for 23 hours prior to being admitted to the inpatient telemetry unit for 6 days. Bleh! The tele unit and their staff was wonderful though. Amazing really!

I would rate negative if I could. Took my wife in for a dog bite ( severe gash on her hand/finger).... It was our dog, and a total accident, but besides that.....
I take my wife in.... We waited 4 hrs with her in increasing pain... They initially washed her wound and wrapped it in gauze.... By the time she was seen... The gauze dried to her wound.... And when we did get a nurse to see her .. the gauze was tugging at the open wound. She was FINALLY given injections for pain ( I and around the wound.). The Dr waited for over an hr and a half before he returned to stich her up. Needless to say, the local was wearing off. The last 20 minutes was VERY painful for her. He wouldn't give her more local... They did set up an appointment with a hand surgeon the next day. THANK GOD FOR THAT HAND SURGEON !!! She was IRATE that the ER. Stitched her wound.. she said "it's basic ER, YOU DO NOT STICH A DOG BITE !!!!!" ... She asked which hospital, and which Dr,nurse did it... And wanted a description of that person. She was LIVID !! The surgeon had to undo the stitches, and during surgery, get rid of the infection that had set in, from the ER closing the wound.
The other part I HATED at that ER,. While my wife was still in pain, from the hack job stitches, some lady comes in and asks ( NOOOOO BEDSIDE MANNER AT ALL !!).
" And how are we paying for this today ?"

I'll never go back there again, and tell people NOT to as well. I recommend North Central Baptist off Stone Oak.... You're seen FAST and get great treatment !

Service was slow, there wasn't a sense of emergency. They attended all patients with the same slow pace. On top of that billing is extremely expensive. No wonder why some people rather die before going to the ER.

I must say you don't deserve this! Nothing about this hospital is worthy of providing basic adequate care. All of the staff needs people training first before we talk ever again. I am worse off that when I came in. Honestly when I went home I looked like I've been in a brawl. I'm still trying to piece my life together.

This is very sad i cant drop off a handicap person because of them allowing selfish people to block off the drop off area. these cars should be hauled off no one in either car. SAD they allow this to happen. Sign clearly says drop off pick up only.

Their management is disorganized,degrading,disrespectful to staff members.I have never been involved in such unprofessional oganization.They threaten your nursing license everyday in their "huddles"literally and publically
I wouldn't bring my dying cat to an HCA facility.it brings nursing to an all time LOW. I vote them a negative

This is by far the worst hospital ever been here since 830 pm last night it's now the next day 11am told us last night would move my husband to a room yet here we are still in triage after many tests still no doctor no answers my husband is a veteran who has Tricare prime next time I will take him to BAMC and take my chances on getting there on time I feel as though they kept him here for the money so now we requested discharge Dr refused so he signed an at will leaving the hospital never again will I take any loved one here!
