Horizon Books

I popped in here as my husband had difficulty locating a book online and in person. I tried Horizon Books, and they had it in stock! What a delightful bookstore! They have a great selection of books, and the customer service was fantastic! Move over, BAM, Horizon Books just took the #1 spot!

Such a cool/fun, little bookstore, which is open later than most bars in Traverse City!!! 🤣

It has great espresso/coffee and the staff is delightfully, knowledgeable, fun and entertaining.

The book selection is vast and extremely well organized, along with being kept in excellent condition.

Terrific bookstore! A visit to Traverse City would not be complete without a stop here!

Consistent, wide selection. I was able to find a title that another smaller bookstore did not have on the shelf. Long hours make for convenient, no-rush browsing after the workday. Membership program is easily worth it. Warning: you may be enticed by all the other goodies on display and leave with more stuff than you intended.

What a treat to find such a superb book store while ambling about popular East Front Street in downtown Traverse City, Michigan. An excellent selection as well as a copious selection of titles of local interest. Plus, a cute cafe! Always nice to give business to a coffee shop that isn’t a Starbucks! As an avid reader of nonfiction, I found shelves full of history, biographies, and memoirs. In this day of social media twaddle, great to have a thriving book shop in a tourism destination in northern Michigan

Great book store! They have an amazing kids/young readers section, and some more uncommon titles in general, which is quite fun. Nice atmosphere with classical music in the background.

The Horizon Books store is one of those places you wish you would have found earlier. Huge selection of titles. Massive amounts of magazines. Great food. Excellent coffee, fresh and lots of flavor. Lots of seating. You can sit in the cafe, downstairs, or outside. If you like people watching, outside is the way to go. The staff is warm and friendly. The prices are very reasonable. You can be come a member for more savings.

Horizon books has been around for a long time and hopefully they will continue to be around for a long time so that everyone can have a chance to visit and pick out a book 📖 they have a section for everyone, books and lots of other things!!! Horizon books has so much to offer I definitely recommend checking this place out next time your on front street 🤠

Love this place! Had a great coffee, and picked up a couple reasonably priced books!

I got 2 local children's books and a fun game. Perfectly wonderful bookstore.

Great book selection for little ones

The staff was great, the coffee was pretty good too. They had lots of books, and they were even newer books. I well definitely return the next time I am in town.

This was a fun book store.i could some really interesting sections and books that I was looking for. They also have some really cool kinda of notebooks, like for passwords and websites or for books you read. I loved the selections since it was vastly different from Illinois. I plan on vacationing here again to visit this store.

Horizon Books is a gem of an old-fashioned independent book store. They have everything you want (and many things you didn't know you needed) with a friendly, knowledgeable staff to help you find your way. The building itself is cozy with a coffee counter and a fireplace. This place is the real deal--a true book lovers favorite book store ever.

I love to stop here for coffee when in the area. Their justice blend is one of my favorites.

We always stop by here. It’s a lovely little bookstore where you can sit and get a tea or coffee with some sweets and read or just browse around. A piano in the back is kinda fun. The staff are always very helpful and friendly.

Kids section didn’t disappoint! Love the local puzzle section! They even had a local
Author signing! Sorry we could purchase that though. We Never go away from a book store disappointed, only our wallets;)
