Cancun Mexican Grill South Lyon

Got to stop in to Cancun Mexican Grill in South Lyon for a photo shoot. Owner Juan and Chef Wilson, as well as other staffers, greeted me as soon as I arrived. They have a lot of really awesome looking authentic Mexican dishes! If you're in South Lyon and want something better than just traditional "American-Mexican" give them a shot.

Juan did a great job of taking care of us at about 7pm on a Saturday night. We arrived as a party of 4, but quickly grew to a party of 8 and he was quick to accommodate us in a great way. Food was delicious and delivered quickly. Prices were reasonable.

This is a very authentic Mexican restaurant. Seems to be a very close family style owner. The food is outstanding and very authentic. Burrito was full of great ingredients and not a lot of filler beans. High quality! The drinks were very good, we had a small and it was enough. Impressed with the chip sauce, nice and thick with a little kick. We will return and recommend checking out this small gem of Mexico on the north side of South Lyon.

You cannot beat the speed of service at this place! Your food will be out before you can finish the complimentary chips & salsa that they bring you shortly after you sit down. Highly recommend the Ismael Special!

Chips and salsa at the start of the meal can be a make or break to the meal, and there's were fantastic!

Delicious Mexican food. Fast, friendly service. Reasonably priced. Very clean dining area. And excellent margarita's.

Great food, friendly waitstaff, and the atmosphere is bright and makes you feel like you're in Mexico. The ceviche is incredible - spicy, fresh, and citrusy. The Mahi tacos are juicy - paired perfectly with creamy coleslaw and fresh Pico. The special sauce is super flavorful and spicy. The chipotle fajitas - the pork was the standout.
Margs were excellent, as well!

We ate here for the first time. I had Tacos al pastor. It was delicious. The pork was flavorful, on its own. The pico d gallo with pepper sauce was a nice addition to the meat. As sides I was served rice and refried beans. They were also flavorable and a perfect portion. I look forward to eating there again, soon.

First, was the atmosphere. Very festive, and so different then typical restaurants. Second, the staff were excellent and attentive, polite and friendly. Third, the food was excellent; delicious and good portions. This place was like going to a themed restaurant in Disney World.

I love their take on the rice they serve. It's tasty with the added vegetables cooked in it. The staff is always pleasant to deal with and the owner is a great guy.

The food was good and so was the service. Had the Pineapple Fajitas, my favorite. Will definitely go back again.

Went for 10 months anniversary with the girlfriend. Ordered the make your combo. Burrito and taco, rice and beans. Excellent service, did have a English to Spanish miss communication but they fixed it! Cleaned the plate off!!

Amillio is my absolute favorite server!
The food is always amazing. Their salsa and queso are delicious. It's my favorite place to eat!

Regular Lunch spot for our group, great service, food and atmosphere we look forward to going here and have never had a bad experience!
