Dakota County Library Farmington

Farmington library has amazing staff! Every time we walk in, we are immediately greeted and someone is there to offer help finding something. I am happy to have access to a kid-friendly, clean, and resource filled, library. 📚📚

The Dakota County Library in Farmington is a great place! It's a beautiful building inside and out. The flowers and bushes in the parking lot are lovely! The library staff are very friendly and helpful, always happy to help you if you have questions or need advice on picking out a good book. The children's section is bright and cheerful, with places to play or sit and read. The bookshelves are easy to navigate, and great for just browsing. They have plenty of computers if you need to find a book or need to go online. The bathrooms are always clean and handicap-accessible. I love coming to this library by myself and with my family!!

Nice, clean, and quiet nook of Dakota County to read, or research in. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Relaxed environment to enjoy an afternoon of reading or investigating pleasure. I found instant assistance, and was able to find and print family heritage from another State, in less than an hour.

Colorful and family-friendly

It has a large variety of books, magazines, cd’s, dvd’s, and more. The staff are polite, helpful, and are welcoming. They have a kids play area, an adult books section, teens book section, and a kids section. They have computers you can use to look for something and a computer in the kids section to play games on. They even have a 3D printer that they allow you to use! You can check your stuff out at the counter or do it yourself.

Dakota County Library has so many books, DVDs, ebooks and more. The librarian on duty is helpful if you need assistance. Looking for a DVD that you cannot find, ask the librarian. They will find that DVD, put your order in and tell you when it should arrive. I like Dakota County Library.

From learning how to ride a bike in the library parking lot to working on research papers late into the day during my college career, the Farmington Library has been a second home to me for 20 years. I've loved seeing the renovations it has went under over the last few years.The staff are always friendly and helpful, and it is always a treat coming here!

This library is great! They have long novels and informational books from outer space to the deepest oceans! The staff is nice and they also have a summer reading program.

Staff is very helpful, wished we could have facility open regular+more hours, as it is never open when I'm off work... and wish we could have our chairs back and be able to stay awhile... nice clean place!!!
